When an Xbox handheld was announced, I assumed it would be engineered internally at Xbox. Maybe I just wasn't aware of what it really was, but this is incredibly disappointing.
I upgraded to an OLED from my launch Switch and the difference was immediately noticeable, but the OLED panels Nintendo sourced from Samsung are susceptible to 'green tint' and mine is affected. It's not noticeable in colorful games but in darker games like Limbo it's incredibly distracting. I'm sort of glad they're moving away from cheap OLEDs since this shouldn't be an issue with the new LCDs.
I understand the sticker shock, but games themselves have been consistently undervalued for decades. I'm not a fan of the price increases, but I understand from a business/economics sense.
Retro has always been the king of performance on Nintendo consoles. It's been over a decade since Tropical Freeze, so it's nice to know they still have some special sauce.
Probably the weirdest Direct ever? I expected to see a few games to fill out the year, but instead we got lackluster updates for what we already know about. Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven were great to see but they're both releasing in 2026.
The Xbox handheld is dead on arrival, especially if it primarily focuses on Cloud streaming. PlayStation can provide some competition but it'll be much more expensive since it'll be a more premium product. With backwards compatibility already set in stone, it's really only up to Nintendo to derail themselves.
I initially bought this on Switch but the performance was so bad in handheld mode that I double-dipped and got it on PS5 as well. Happy to hear that Aggro Crab put in the time to fully optimize it, but it still stings that I spent $30 on a game that barely ran.
Absolutely love the original LEGO games and 007 would've made an excellent addition to the lineup. I wish TT Games would go back to making smaller, level-based entries instead of the overly bloated Skywalker Saga.

Re: GameCube Games On Switch 2 Will Support An Optional CRT Filter
I just hope they finally give us the option to remove the standard NSO screen borders. I wanna see the game, not gray dots.
