Re: Rumour: Is Something Going On Between Microsoft And Nintendo?

masofdas

Been saying for a while now Xcloud on Switch and the whole Game Pass on your screen motto but does go against interviews with likes of Matt Booty.

I own all/will own all three systems but if I was just on Xbox, I would wonder what I'm getting from this as always seems to be Xbox on Switch but not the other way.

That maybe a collaboration on something like Goldeneye Remake would be better for all parties.

Re: Nintendo Is Reportedly Japan's Richest Company Of 2020

@GrailUK Nintendo has first party that does staggering numbers like Animal Crossing New Horizons that's not disputed but PlayStation first party does just as well

Last of Us Part I 25m (PS3 and PS4)
Uncharted 4 16m
Spider-Man 13m
God of War (2018) 11m
Horizon Zero Dawn 10m

That's just rough numbers which you can find higher by looking how account have played the game which they may have done by buying used, PSNOW, Plus etc

That's the thing for Xbox, Sea of Thieves has had over 15m players

That all doing very well for first party stuff, just some have different approaches

Re: Ubisoft Thinks The Next Console Cycle Isn't Far Away, So Where Does That Leave Switch?

PS4 launched back in 2013, if we saw a PS5 in 2019 that's a difference of 6 years which is pretty much average for PlayStation. If even you take the Pro into account that's PS4, 3 years later improved the system for those that want it (no different to a New 3DS or DSi) then 3 years later a new console.

Sony have even said PS5 in the works.

This also applies to Xbox One but with the One X only just coming out a jump again in 2 years from that, might seem too soon but then would MS want to release in 2020 a year after the PS5.

If the last gen wasn't so long (PS3 was 6-7 years depending on the region to PS4 to PS5 would be 6 years) due to things like the financial crisis. We wouldn't even be talking about the jump now seemingly being too soon.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?

masofdas

The best 2D Mario isn't even on the list, Super MARIO World 2: Yoshi Island.

I hate that now people say it's a Yoshi game and a spin-off but back when it came out, we didn't know it would become a spin-off. It was just Super Mario World 2.

@Ichi-Tan Yeah I don't like PC Gaming myself and would say a PC with a Nintendo system is the best combo but I mentioned games like Uncharted 4 which isn't on either and same still with a lot of the Japanese games which I like to play that I can only get on a PS4.

Same with Xbox One, I like Halo of course now that's a little different as every Xbox One game is a PC game but these are still good games like Zelda which can only be found on a certain system.

Each system will have games only on it, you'll or me will like.

That's why I have them as a gamer, I don't want to be limited just to what Switch gets or what PS4 gets.

As someone who owns a PS4 and Xbox One along with a Wii U and I know this is a Nintendo site but things like saying the others are dull as dishwater seems of for a professional who has displayed lack of knowledge of the other systems in the past .

I know what games people like are subjective but seems the focus on the other two seems to be Call of Duty, FIFA and the rest of AAA trip 3rd party games which yeah can be dull.

But I can think of countless games like the Wii U that can only be found on them like Uncharted 4 on PS4 and Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One.

I own Wii U and have a Switch preordered as I want to play Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon but I also want to play Uncharted 4, Final Fantasy XV, Firewatch, Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Kingdom Hearts, The Last Guardian etc
