I'm really enjoying getting part 3 for only $20. I've played 1 and 2 and find part 3 just as good as those but better (more characters to unlock and most updateded special move list) story has been great and the online fighting/ connection has also been fantastic. Visually great looking game on the switch. For $20 I say just get part 3 unless you want the full series story.

i just spent the weekend playing this. (dropped to 40$ at gamestop)
and it was a total impulse buy BUT i don't regret my purchase.
i haven't been able to put it down and as i'm typing this at work i wish i was home playing Gear.Club o switch.

people have to be remember this had micro transactions on mobile. paying all of them for the full game would rack up around $200 + dollars. however i do feel like 50$ is to much but for $20-$40 its a solid buy.

it reminds me of Project Gotham racing which i loved. Visually it looks great in hand-held mode and okay/decent in docked mode.

the 2-4 oplayer split screen is awesome and really fun. this type of mode isnt found in games anymore these days and it gets me a little nastalgic having it.

one of the biggest minuses though is NO ONLINE multiplayer.
there are daily events to get the best time for in a leaderboard, which i admit, is really fun and addicting. But lack of no online racing for a game that is initally asking for $50 is not good.

so i a nut shell... if you like quick arcade racing with a good amount of upgrades and content AND you can get it for around 20-30$ (i feel $40 i paid is still to much)... i say go for it.

this game is awesome...and i dint even mind it when it was first released...only the My Career was buggy (and only in the cut scenes) and a little audio glitches. i'm more than happy with my purchase. this game looks amazing on switch and now plays even better with the incoming patches. a huge robust single player and multiplayer experience. the game is awesome and deserves the 8/10.

i do think $60 full retail is a bit much... the game came out over a year ago ...game is easily bought for $20 now on other systems. AND visually this is the lesser of all other versions (30 fps at 720p).

now..i know this comes with all DLC but it should really be 40$ (especially since they didnt even fit the full game all on one cart AND we are getting one less mode.)
