why are you guys making a whole new site? why not revamp this site and incorporate DSiWare here... surely all you are doing is diverting traffic away... I still can't figure out why this site is separate from VC-reviews, why don't you all clan together with nintendolife.com and create one big site encompassing all aspects, seems like a better strategy to me.....

@XSsandion - how can you hate HD? if your answer was "because my old tube television, although inferior in definition, is still way more vibrant than most HD television sets, apart from the plasma sets. But plasma is not a great technology, it's bad for the environment and has a harsh life span... so until the technology is perfected I'm happy with good old SD..." then alrighty then, you can hate HD.... for now.... but is that your reason? because there is really no other reason.

Cool, perfect solution. Transfer rates will be fine, the Wii can store most VC games in memory whole, so no performance worries there. The long implementation time is probably so they can make 100% sure there's no way to share games over the net, or holes in their SD booting code (which there inevitably will be). I'm sure the guys over at Wiibrew are jumping for joy!

i've never really given the cartoon a chance, is this funny at all? it looks really lame...

I havent bought a vc game in bloody ages... when are the rest of the majorly popular games coming out? will they really wait till the end of the wii's life? or are they just not coming? where is Star Fox, where is Yoshi's Island? etc etc... sorry to moan, i know there is enough of it on here. I just don't want to spend money on games I won't bother playing till the end...

I may get slated for saying this but Okami is in many ways superior to Zelda. If you like Zelda, japanese mythology and odd ball japanese humor you will love this game, even if you dont like Zelda but like action rpg's then you will probably love this. EVERYONE MUST PLAY THIS GAME!! If you don't buy it then you are missing out on a land mark title and stunting it's realistic possibility to become one of gaming's heavyweight series.

wicked, bout time they made a shooter like this for the wii. reminds me of that old playstation arcade shooter game, can't remember what it was called, it was just loads of shooty mini games...

That is such a massive rip off of street fighter, how they hell did they get away with that? They even look like Ken and Chun Li

rubbish, i think they are now saving all the best games until they think the wii is starting to come to the end of it's life span to rejuvenate it in it's last throws. Nintendo run their company like an RPG

the graphics look really basic. It seems like no thought has gone into them hardly at all. The mechanics look quite interesting, two wiimotes is a good idea, but i've had my wii since release and only just got a second wiimote, so there might be a lot of people out there with only one still. Personally I really didn't enjoy the music in the trailer, probably my least favorite kind of music, but whatever swings ur butt i guess. Prob give this a miss, but then again I only really buy a game if I know it's going to be incredible, don't have the time or money to play a game i might not enjoy. In the next version, better art direction and the ability to play your own mp3's from the SD card, would be a likely purchase from me.

i think they could have made this game much better. probably the people working on it thought it would suck so they didn't put in that much effort. but i think with better character design, removing the stupid belching thing, and putting in some super happy crazy Japanese style presentation, it could have been something really small and cool that everybody would want to have a go.... do you remember micro machines v3? the characters remind me of that, strange and ugly, not relateable at all...

i'd get it if you can have sharks and other cool stuff in your tank. An octopus or a sword fish would be amazing, or have those really deep sea creatures that look like strange aliens and glow under UV light, and then you can sit back and watch the food chain in action! If it's just clown fish and other bog standard things that just sit about, forget it....

might be good, but all the best games at the moment don't really rely on motion sensing to be good. If it's packaged with wii sports 2 and is awesome then it might be werf it

if there's no official 'wiimote' style controller for xbox etc, surely there won't be any games that are compatible with it, so whats the point?

allyourbase - yeah not anymore, it's now full retail for europe with some extras, probably won't get it now. I wanted a cheap and cheerful game, not an expensive fully packaged flash game with extra bells and whistles

why edit ur post it wasn't offensive at all. I went to a photography exhibition recently with some tasteful artisitc nudes, and somebody actually complained about one of the photos (quite a mild photo at that, only a little more explicit than my avatar). The most annoying thing was the manager of the venue actually took it down! I really don't understand people sometimes. The photo was in all the fliers anyway, hardly a successful censorship.

Square might resist putting games up on the VC that they plan to re-make. They are slowly getting through all the snes FF remakes onto the DS. Imagine the crazy fans after they release FF VI, 'FFVII remake is on it's way uuurrrghhh' [spurt] hopefully they are planning it for ps3 or next gen. doesn't seem much point having it on the DS, not much of an improvement.

yeah... two different ways of doing it. Hopefully nintendo will sort out their release date problem, then it will be better i think, not really sure.

vc games running off SD would be alright, particularly the smaller ones, but there might be some loading time or something with larger VC and Wii ware games

definitely fake, the models, although they look like ..., have way more polygons than would be used on models for a real-time wii game. This video is 100% pre-rendered, no wii ware games will have pre-rendered videos due to the small wii space capacity and why would you have this as a video cut scene anyway..... not that a soft porn game would be a bad thing, but this looks bad.

i had to look up the term "otaku", unless you are Japanese, you have to be pretty geeky yourself to use a term like that

i wouldn't call myself a casual gamer, and it does appeal to me. Although a quick look at the video has turned me off a bit. With things like the Euphoria engine knocking about, a game that relies completely on visuals needs good animation. Robotic moving fish who's fin flapping has nothing to do with it's actual movement in the water is extremely out dated, perhaps the wii isn't capable of such physics calculations, but for me a virtual fish tank would have to have the fish physically pushing themselves through virtual water in a realistic way.

I hate the shop channel as well, once you're on its ok, but half the time I can't get that far, and the times that I do it takes a good few minutes of thinking... why?

@Oldschoolmayhem - me too, think i will give it a go. does anyone one know the rough number of hours this game takes? I love the old school rpgs but i hate getting bored of them half way through which i find happens a lot

the pre-order is $20 which i think is roughly 1500 wii points. it doesn't say whether you can pre-order the wiiware version, I'm assuming you can't, so that means you have to buy the mac or pc version to get the special preview?

i was kinda looking forward to this game, but now i've seen that video, it looks like a game that could have been quirky and funny has turned out to be lame and unfunny. Whats with that crappy burping to attack your opponent, who on earth would think that was a good idea.... pass

Lost winds was amazing, well worth the download. It did feel like an extended demo though. Can't wait for the sequel! It seemed to me that it was pretty much totally inspired by Okami, the whole style of the world and even the fire / water following the path you draw, could have been a spin off!

Major league eating sounds like a little bit of fun... this doesn't. Normal pong is pretty boring nowadays, I can't imagine beer making it more fun. I mean having the name 'Frat Party Games' doesn't give the developer much credibility, I can't imagine them coming out with the next level of game innovation. I do hope they come out with Frat Party Games™ - Wet T-Shirt Contest™ though

sounds expensive, just keep it in the flippin case, i've never had a problem with damaged discs. It serves people right who mess them up, maybe they'll learn their lesson next time they have to shell out for another copy of something...

true, there has to be SOME reason! The wait with brawl must be bad for sales, I'm much less excited about it now than I was when it was coming out in america, I mean i'll still buy it but it'll feel like i'm buying an out of date game in some way.... Surely the sooner they get the money from sales the better, coz they can start earning interest on it. Either way they suck balls
