Re: Feature: Nintendo and Bond Through the Ages

@Mikazi exactly my thoughts, I've held 007 Legends Wii U in my hands. Get out there on the high street and you can buy it pretty much anywhere! I didn't buy it because it doesn't have Wii remote support.

I'm guessing Nintendolife are just regurgitating what a PR person has said?

Re: Miiverse Hacked By Mistake, Possible Metal Gear And Yoshi Wii U Games Unearthed

I followed this over at NeoGAF last night/early this morning UK-time as it was happening. What he uncovered was admin and data for the Miiverse test screen (containing Yoshi, Gun, Wii Fit, Metroid, etc) used in pre-launch footage. It's referred to in an Iwata asks, where they also talked about how they can change the online stuff live - which explains how they fixed the issue immediately.

I never knew about Driver:SF link mode. from http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driver:_San_Francisco#section_2

"A new feature for the Wii is the localized multi-player, where a second player may take control of the gun or, if they desire, can connect a DS, DSi or 3DS system through download play. The DS device can be used to make road blocks, look for police and buy player 1 some more time through playing various mini games."

Re: Review: Slitherlink by Nikoli (3DS eShop)

This is a really odd review. In fact, I'd say that it's the worst review i've seen on this site in recent memory. It just doesn't make sense.

There's no question Slitherlink is one of the greatest puzzles invented - better than Sudoku in my mind. To argue that a video game version offers nothing better than a paper puzzle is ridiculous. Just try erasing badly placed lines on the paper version!

I own an earlier DS version of this game, "Puzzle Series Vol 5: Slitherlink" (by Hudson) that I imported from Japan. It is 10/10 rated by Eurogamer.net ( http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/puzzle-series-vol-5-slitherlink-review ). That score, along with extensive playing by myself, confirms that Slitherlink makes a pretty much perfect videogame.

So, to the 5/10 score given here. It's perfectly possible that Hamster have done a bad job with their version of the game. But this review doesn't even begin to tell me why or how that might be. I'm thoroughly disappointed with @JonWahlgren and NintendoLife for not putting in the effort for this review.

Re: Kid Icarus: Uprising Fails to Fly in UK Charts

I bought this on the weekend but it was ridiculously difficult to find it anywhere on the hight street. GAME/Gamestation didn't have it - they're not stocking most new releases during their nightmare acquisition period. HMV also didn't have any. There are no other places I could think of going. I eventually bought it in an ASDA supermarket in the suburbs.

Of course, I could have ordered it online but chose not to.

Re: Mario Kart 7 Mobile App Makes Kart Combos Clearer

@SpaghettiToastBook the app doesn't currently display those tiers in any way. They were discovered after I had submitted the app to Apple (9th January). I am looking into the best way to add them in a future update.

@SanFrisco9er I would love to put a version on the eShop, but it is not something I can currently do.

@theblackdragon: Of course

Building an app like this takes a lot of effort. Sadly I can't spend weeks of my time creating a tool like this and then give it away for free. I'd love to add new features to this app, and even build more apps along the same lines. That takes time and money, as I am sure you understand.

Re: Mario Kart 7 Mobile App Makes Kart Combos Clearer

@Mok of course you don't need to use the app, but if you were interested in improving your combination it makes the process of discovery and improvement totally painless.

@LEGEND_MARIOID as far as I know, they are. The app has taken over a month to be legally cleared by Apple.

@Aqueous that's a great table of data, but it doesn't allow you to easily compare two combinations or experiment with changing out parts. My app makes that sort of stuff really quick and easy.
