Re: Iwata Says He Didn't Commit to Stepping Down Over Missed Profit Targets

gavn64

@ThomasBW84 it was Nintendo life writer Damien who reported this in a story a while ago on this site saying that Iwata did in fact intimate he would resign over said quote and then when us readers challenged him in the comments he defended his dumb story.

Re: Super Mario 3D World Producer Teases New Annoucement

gavn64

To everyone guessing it might just be SM3DW DLC its not he said earlier in the same interview that they aren't planning any for the game at the moment so lets all get super excited for a new project from NINTENDO's best player HYYYPPEEE!!!!!

Re: Nintendo's Charlie Scibetta Explains the Benefits of Developers Running the Company

gavn64

This has always been there core strength they realise that if you rush a game it might get immediate sales but will overall hurt the franchise just look at how gears, and god of war sales tailed off this gen. This isn't new either the much feared Yamauichi delayed the launch of a whole console just because Miyamoto told him Mario 64 wasn't ready that takes real balls and look how that turned out 17!!! years later and 3D mario is still a huge seller sunshine 5.5mil, Galaxy 10mil, and Galaxy 2 7mil, games just like everything in life must be nurtured i wonder if COD will be around in 17 years i doubt it.

Re: Time: Nintendo Is "Stumped" By The Wii U GamePad And Should Ditch It

gavn64

Ehh... im pretty sure it's most probably one single game that has influenced the creation of the gamepad i.e the way wii sports was created before the wii remote even existed so what possible game gave birth to the gamepad? my guess would be Zelda U the way Aounuma talks about it i think it could the Wiiu's real breakthrough title shame it is gonna take so long but ye know it will be worth it in the end.

remember how magical it felt to play skyward sword how it recaptured that feeling you got on launch day with wii sports yeah im pretty sure NINTENDO are making something real special.

Re: First Impressions: Mario Kart 8

gavn64

How on earth does this game look so much better than everthing else on Wiiu and still pelt around at 60fps it's amazing. Note to NINTENDO use this engine for EVERY FIRST PARTY GAME from now on, no more upscales please justify the tech, dont tether yourselves your the best out there now show it.

Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World

gavn64

Finally someone on a NINTENDO site has called this out it's going to be fun but seriously the follow on from Galaxy 2 this aint they better be making a proper 3D game secrectly the problem is cause of this game its likely to come out in 2015 and not next year damnit NINTENDO i love you but sometimes you dont half make it hard.

Re: Features: The Joys of Following Nintendo at E3

gavn64

@hydeks dude dont dare question my loyalty or respect for NINTENDO they are the ONLY place to get the best games in the world, but this is why i am dismayed at the multiplayer casual pandering of the most precious series in gaming the mainline mario games. And if you like to pretend like some other people on here that the RETRO news wasn't at least a little disappointing then fine but i remember RETRO showing off another game you know what it was called Metroid Prime the amazing original and that blew me away this didn't but whatever. I care just as much as you or any other NINTENDO fan in the world and my opinion is as valid dont forget that.

Re: Features: The Joys of Following Nintendo at E3

gavn64

Mario 3D world i cant say anything it still hurts too much. Oh and RETRO confirming today that there not making anything else other than DK
THREE... YEARS... FOR... A... SOUPED... UP... WII.. GAME.... .... .... .... .... .... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mario kart looks good though at least one NINTENDO team found the WiiU graphics chip.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Wii U Lineup Makes Commercial Sense

gavn64

Oh and before i forget, what in the world is up with the whole RETRO situation last year reggie said "i wanted to show retro's new game but they wouldn let me" up until that point RETRO had gone dark for two whole years, are you telling me it took them 3 years to get this 2D game thats running on a wii engine up and running to respectable levels they had better be making there real game deep in there H.Q or i will be furious

p.s i have no problem with DK just kinda think MONSTER GAMES could have made this sequel.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Wii U Lineup Makes Commercial Sense

gavn64

The lineup was fine but the one part that i just cant except is the new mario game it looks very good but not 3D mario great there wont be a buoy base level in this game i can tell that from just looking at it i really hope it is just a stop-gap for the "REAL" 3D mario in two years time _ and if it is i will except this for what it is but it just isnt 3D mario guys we all surely see this right?

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Should Aim to Produce Mature, Genre-Defining Storytelling Experiences

gavn64

Oh and to anybody who thinks that NINTENDO cant move its gamers(and with images and sounds rather than cutscenes that are designed to push emotional buttuns i might add) Buoy Base from galaxy says hello or how about entering the faron woods in skyward sword for the first time or how about phendrana drifts from metroid prime or Brinstars AWESOME music from super metroid or the dark world overworld theme from ALTTP or the Bowser battles in galaxy i could go on and on, and to the guy who said after clearing a NINTENDO game he finds it forgettable YOU.. ARE.. WRONG..

P.S Sammy Baker is a clown dont trust his "expertise"

Re: Link's Awakening Turns 20 Years Old

gavn64

Top class title i just cleared it for the first time on the 3DS VC a while ago and what can i say... great story, great gameplay, great graphics the whole package maybe we could get a sequel to this one day NINTENDO on the 6DS in the space year 2033

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the 3DS

gavn64

No real love for RESI's raid mode from the team shame.

next year give me Advance wars, Smash bros., a sequel to 3D LAND, Pikmin Portableâ„¢, Miiverse 3DS, Donkey Kong Crash Course 3DS as a small eshop title with more boards and i would be set.

P.S to Ken stop being a troll leave the Wiiu alone

Re: Tomodachi Collection Famitsu Article Falls Foul Of Unfortunate Timing

gavn64

Damien strikes again, he previously brought up the horrific murder of a british soldier connecting it to the release of resi revealations HD and brought up Iwata resigning when it was just for sensationalist reasons. Please loose this writer nintendo life he sounds like a late nineties playstation magazine writer pathetic.

Re: Reaction: Our Thoughts on Nintendo Direct - 17th May

gavn64

For finally slaying the ghost of the now infamous "launch window" and setting the scene for a much more momentous E3 direct i thought the execution was execelent. Now lets all get our bodys ready and our mother brains super stoaked for the real "GOODS" in just a couple of weeks soooo exicited

Re: Review: Super Metroid (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)

gavn64

This along with the other two members of the holy trinity ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST and SUPER MARIO WORLD is the reason i always laugh when the megadrive vs snes debate comes up these three masterpiece's haven't aged a day and yet nearly everything on the megadrive has in fact these three games are better than about 97% of all modern games im not saying it to be flipant either only the MARIO 64 & the two GALAXY games have topped WORLD only SKYWARD SWORD & OCARINA has topped A LINK TO THE PAST and actually i dont think PRIME has topped this beautiful piece of art it's close but i give it to SUPER METROID i did get stuck in the THAT WHOLE though

Great review as well sums it all up perfectly.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Mixed Week With Wii U Third-Party Support

gavn64

@ferthepoet yes people said the infamous nintendoomed stuff during the gamecube era but that was just fanboys looking at sales figures look at the important numbers NINTENDO consistently made very healthy profits during the N64 and GAMECUBE era's if making tons of money every year isnt a sign of success then i dont know what is. And yes it has ALWAYS been like this in the words of Hiroshi Yamauichi "a nintendo console is just a box to play Mario on" it might be an over simplified vision but you cant deny the numbers dude. All top sellers have always been and will always be NINTENDO first party games (i am all for a vibrant software portfolio and it certainly puts plenty of yen in NINTENDO's coffers) to try and argue against that is the very definition of blindness im afraid.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Mixed Week With Wii U Third-Party Support

gavn64

@ferthepoet It is true dude look at it from the all important global picture what are the top sellers mario 3d land 8mil, mario kart 7 6mil, new super mario bros 2 6mil, animal crossing new leaf near 4 mil(and unlike monster hunter will explode when released in the western territory's), forget about the regional appeal of monster hunter and dragon quest (even though i love em). they are million sellers but the real monster sellers are the nintendo branded titles it is these titles just like it has ALWAYS been that will shift NINTENDO hardware it hasn't changed in 30years why would it change now a bit of common sense people.
