I clocked more hours in CTR than any Mario Kart game. I still replay it from time to time, seventeen years later.
Diddy Kong Racing and Sonic Transformers are both good games, but they didn't do anything for me. They both felt pretty clunky. (So did Mario Kart 64, come to think of it.)
Since CTR (and even it's first sequel), only Mario Kart games work for me.
@MrWalkieTalkie @ACK Then biweekly. As it stands now, it looks like little more than a list of games. I guess I just think that articles on the games themselves would do a better job bringing them to the forefront. Right now, it comes across as little more than a list of people who want money.
I'll use the Cult County game as an example here. It's been in every one of these, with this being the last one unless something changes in its development. There was also a few articles on the game itself. Failed project or not, it gets more exposure when it's by itself.
My opinion isn't a popular one, but after three weeks, I felt it was worth mentioning. There just isn't enough real information week after week.
Heck, I feel it would even work better if it's just based off newly launched projects.
I mean no offense by it. Just wanted to express my opinion.
I feel like these posts would benefit more from being monthy instead of weekly. Biweekly at most. Feels like they're all repeating information posted in the previous week, with additions that have their own articles posted.
Surprised how good the GBA port looks on VC, as well. While I'm sure it's generally preferred to have the SNES version, I think this was a terrific Plan B. I'm assuming the original was just difficult to emulate. Makes no sense knowing it never arrived on the Wii VC, otherwise.
Also, I was kind of disappointed to see that NES Remix 2 doesn't come out until tomorrow. Oh well, though.
I'm 100% for the delay. I posted a question asking why people thought Waluigi was worthy of a character in Smash, which turned into a flame war starring one child. The delay would've helped prevent that. Ultimately, I deleted that post altogether. Anything to help prevent things like that from happening is a thumbs up in my book.
Kirby and Metroid are the only two I'm interested in that I never played. Might grab Superstar Saga too, though I still have the cartridge, and a working Gameboy Player on my Gamecube.
I like the idea of Pac-Man, but adding a few references here and there to other classic Namco arcade games. (Imagine using a Galaxian during a smash attack, for example.)
I'm loving the Nintendo-esque quality of time it seems like they're putting into this. Should be worth the wait, even if it is a little longer than anticipated.
He was my most wanted newcomer. Glad he's in! I also love the poster style image based on the arcade games. I'm not a fan of the Giga Mac final smash, though. Would've preferred even having the FS just be tagging Doc Louis in and playing as him for a few minutes, even if it's exactly the same as Giga Mac. It never felt within Little Mac's character to magically bulk like that.
Probably gonna get the PSN version of Cloudberry Kingdom at some point. (Account systems, Nintendo! Account systems!) Probably gonna grab Kirby's Dreamland 2 though. If I get Pikmin 3, it'll be on disc.
I wouldn't mind seeing the clones go. Beyond that, Snake is the only one I can see really leaving. Based on the Brawl roster, I would accept the loss of Lucas, Ike, Wolf, and Toon Link. I'd like to see a completely revamped Ganondorf, to lose his clone status. (I'd also like to see Falco stay, but with a few changes.) I'd also be okay with replacing Lucario with a new Pokemon who controls similiarly to him. (Kinda like how Lucario replaced Mewtwo.) Out of the clones from Melee who were removed for Brawl, the only one I'd think even has a shot is Mewtwo.
As for non-clones, I'm assuming most of them will retain, regardless. The entire N64 Smash cast are pretty much shoe-ins. I'd assume Sakurai's children, Dedede and Meta-Knight are still in. Ice Climbers, Olimar, and the Pokemon Trainer have too unique playstyles for them to vanish, in my opinion. Worst case scenerio, Olimar is replaced with Pikmin 3 characters. (Or best, has the Pikmin 3 characters, Olimar, and Louie all as skins with the character renamed "Pikmin Explorer" or something.) I assume Sonic is still in, since Sega still works pretty close with Nintendo nowadays.
I picked up the Oracle games. I may take part in the Wii U VC sale, but I was hoping for a better one... like get two bucks off X if you bought NES MM1, or something.
My Wii U is in my bedroom. My sister's hangout room is in the basement, directly below me. I have near perfect Wii U reception down there. Off TV play is enough reason for me to update all my Wii VC games if they become available. Ice Climber is fun for those short bursts.

There's not enough love for the 8-bit Aladdin, on Game Gear / Master System. So much truer to the story too...
Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Twenty Five
Little Mac was my most wanted newcomer since Brawl. Had to go with him.
Re: Feature: What We Want to See in SNES Remix
Would be cool for SMRPG stuff, like Beetlemania, or jump records.

Already liking how Assist Trophies are shaping up. There were way too few in Brawl.
Re: Big Red Button's Bob Rafei Spills More Details On Sonic Boom For Wii U And 3DS
This game seems like the perfect "gameplay over graphics" argument. I don't like the new designs, but I'm really liking how the game itself sounds.

Gonna pick up everything I have the Wii VC discount on. Updating for off-TV support on some of these is worth it.
Re: Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup Is Revealed
I voted for Balloon Fight because that was the first VC game I downloaded, when it was available for 30 cents.

Yay. I picked up an eshop card for the game right before the delay was announced. I'm ready for it.

Re: Capcom Explains How DuckTales: Remastered Came To Be
@Melkaticox I was thinking that too. Ducktales 2 levels would make this as perfect as possible. At worst, Ducktales 2 DLC, maybe?
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st March 2013 (North America)
Not downloading, but I'll be picking up the physical version of Luigi's Mansion next week.

30 cents for the Tysonless version of the greatest video game ever made. Excellent deal.
