Plague, Specter, and King Knights will all be getting a full campaign; however, every major character, including the Enchantress, Black Knight, and Shield Knight, plus the entire Order of No Quarter, will be playable in the local battle mode.
I played Plague Knight's campaign at PAX and it's a lot of fun. The movement feels really good and natural. I also asked the developers and they said they hoped to release Specter and King Knights' campaigns at the same time.
Here's some free advice: at the beginning of the match, ink your base. It's free ground, it doesn't take much time, and the enemy can't get to it. It might save the match for you!
@IxC At the end of the first Metroid game, it's revealed Samus is a woman with a shot of her without her suit, wearing that swimsuit type thing. Additionally, in other Metroid games, when she dies her armor explodes, showing that she wears this outfit underneath.
@Hy8ogen They've treated Nintendo and its fans like trash this whole generation, so yeah, I'm a little miffed. And how is them refusing to release a game not compromising the consumers?
@Sherman The Hero doesn't have to be the descendant of another (Wind Waker Link can't be descended from OoT Link, since he doesn't exist in that timeline anymore), but it's explicitly stated in the Historia that the Link from Twilight Princess is descended from the Link from OoT. So unless Link had a kid at age eleven, he's not dead in Majora's Mask. Twilight Princess comes a hundred years after Ocarina though, which is why TP Link is aided by the ghost of OoT Link. The Link being dead in MM theory is complete bull, plain and simple.
@OneBagTravel They were blinded by Ocarina of Time, which is a problem that Zelda fans still have to this day. Now that more people have played it without needing to immediately compare it to its predecessor, positive opinions have been formed. It's still the least popular of the 3D Zelda games though.
@Sherman Um...that's not at all true? None of what you said is in any way canon; it's something made up by people on YouTube who clearly never read the Hyrule Historia. That book clearly states that the Link in Twilight Princess is a descendant of the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Link is very much alive through the game, alive enough to have at least one child.
@OneBagTravel It was one of the last Zelda games I played, and well out of the nostalgia phase, and I certainly don't find it jumbled or unfocused. Liking it is certainly not "hip" as the game is a serious cult classic, and far overshadowed by the oh-so-perfect Ocarina of Time. Feel free to hate it, but that's a pretty bold claim.
@DestinyMan @PvtOttobot Those are press events, and they probably won't be streamed to the public, which is why they weren't mentioned in this article. I'm sure many sites will do live updates though!
@allav866 Anyone who actually paid any attention to ReVeN's development on Kickstarter knows it's more than a simple Metroid clone. Yeah, it's got a lot of Metroid's elements, but they also add a lot of their own ideas.
The designs are weird, but I'm looking forward to this, as it appears to be multiplayer. Man, when are Sonic and Mario gonna cross over in a platformer though?
@AVahne Melee was done in just over a year (thirteen months). This one has already been almost two years in development. So no, it won't be the one with the least effort and development time.

Ugh, GTA V getting GOTY. Last of Us definitely deserved it more.
And Liberation? Really? When this year alone we got Fire Emblem, New Leaf, Dark Moon, and Dream Team? Oh, and Pokémon X and Y? Urgh. Liberation was meh at best by all accounts.
And I can't get behind picking GOTY when the year's not even over yet. -_- I guess Golden Joystick starts the new year in September, considering Liberation CAME OUT LAST YEAR.
Not that I expect Nintendo to win anything because the press hates them these days, but still. You can't pick GOTY before the year is over.
@Caryslan
Steam's not hardware, but it is a gaming platform, which is what the category was for.
EA Games: Challenge Everything. Including what's acceptable to say about the dead, apparently. I expect Nintendo-bashing from EA, but "a dead guy"? Really? Jeez. I don't even know how to react to that.
I actually like this game a lot, and significantly more than Zelda I. I remember the immense pride I felt upon beating it. And a couple of the songs in this game are among my favorites--the Temple theme for sure, plus the main battle theme. It's more like Castlevania than Zelda, but still a great game, in my opinion.
The franchise and the first game are known as "The Legend of Zelda." Zelda II is an anomaly; every single other Zelda game is known as The Legend of Zelda. The entire sentence is important. The princess herself didn't launch a bestselling franchise, the game named after her did. The question is not asking for the name of the princess if you read it; it's just saying that the game is named after her, and she's named after F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife Zelda.
If the question was asking for "Super Mario Bros.," would "Mario" be accepted? If it was asking for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," would "Buffy" be accepted? I don't think shorthands like that would be okay, so why should "Zelda" be accepted when the answer was "The Legend of Zelda"?
It's a remake. Not a director's cut, not a reimagining, a remake. Would I have liked the old dungeons? Yes, but I'm not going to demand they make new ones if they already used the ones they had to cut. Would I mind a new way to control the wind? No, but the old way is fine and it's already been streamlined. (Looks like it doesn't play the jingle and cutscene every time anymore, plus you're highly exaggerating how often you legitimately need to change the direction.) Besides, the speedier boat more than makes up for the time it takes to play the Wind's Requiem.
And the combat system? The combat system is fine. The points you make about Twilight Princess are null to anyone who never got those skills (remember that every single thing besides the Ending Blow was one hundred percent optional!) and if you're gonna compare the combat system to anything, how about Skyward Sword?
Man, you must have absolutely hated OoT3D, because it has every "problem" you're complaining about here. Where are the dungeons that were cut from the original? Why does it have the same outdated, crappy combat system? Why do I still have to play a song to summon Epona?
We don't know every change to the game yet, so don't act like we do. You also neglected to mention gyro controls for aiming and looking around. Plus we know the inventory is on the GamePad screen at all times, meaning you can swap it around without pausing the game. Plus, while sailing, things like your grappling hook and your cannon are always equipped, so you can still have three items equipped without having to swap when you want treasure. AND there will undoubtedly be more changes; if nothing else, I kinda expect a Master Quest mode.
I agree about the music, which is also the biggest problem I had with OoT3D. But this is a remake, a side project, and simply something to hold us over until we get the new Wii U Zelda. No one ever said this was a new Zelda game, so stop judging it like they did.
Nevertheless, I see no reason to believe Dyack himself. Of course he won't admit to being crazy or any allegations of games being bad because of his involvement.
And if Nintendo's so supportive of it, why aren't they funding it themselves? A spiritual successor to a game they own the rights to, which they've renewed many times? Perhaps that's what happened here, I dunno.
Also, comparing a governmental lie about worldwide issues to some dude who makes bad games? Good one. Real nice comparison there.
I'm done. Reply if you want; I don't really care. But we're not convincing each other of anything so there's no point in continuing the discussion.

The article goes on to talk at great length about how Dyack refused to work with publishers, refused to change his vision at all, and was essentially a dictator. He also used about half the people who were meant to be working on XMD for a proof-of-concept demo of Eternal Darkness 2 (which, by the way, never got anywhere). He took former employers' names out of the credits of games they worked on before quitting. And he didn't seem to take making the game seriously at all.
