@gcunit Hard to believe the review skipped over the 12-player split screen, the 120-hour story mode, and the fully orchestrated soundtrack by the London Philharmonic. Really missed the mark on those key features.
The complaints about Silksong taking too long just sound like people think the devs should be ‘punished’ for not releasing on their personal schedule. It’s as if they’re saying, ‘You waited too long, so now you deserve to be overshadowed.’ That’s ridiculous. It’s been seven years since Hollow Knight, and it’s still a top-tier Metroidvania by a WIDE margin. Greatness doesn’t come with an expiration date.
@Giancarlothomaz I’m sure NL is just stirring the pot. Nintendo hiring staff is hardly newsworthy. Now, if they were hiring a falconer and a court jester, that’d be worth talking about it.
I’m curious how they’ll handle the sequel, especially since the main critique of the first one, despite how great it was, was that it dragged on too long.
@Joekun I’m not saying you didn’t personally find a deal somewhere, but according to Deku Deals, Mario Wonder has almost never been on sale. Mario RPG went on sale six months after release, physical only at GameStop. Maybe you’ll get lucky and some Black Friday sale will show up with $10 off, but not enough for me to bother waiting for. I’ll just use a voucher.
@Joekun has a Nintendo game on the Switch ever been discounted in two months? I don’t believe so. I think you’ll be waiting a year; that’s how long it took Link’s Awakening
@AstroTheGamosian @Daniel36 I have to disagree, Daniel. There isn’t a ‘wrong’ way to start learning game design. The best way to get started is with tools that interest you and spark your imagination. It doesn’t matter if that’s RPG Maker, Scratch, GB Studio, Pico-8, or Unreal Engine. Every tool teaches you something different, and what’s most important is that you start.
I love how Omori looks, but I keep forgetting it exists. I only buy games when they’re on sale, but Omori never seems to be. It feels like the publishers have forgotten they even released the game on consoles. If even Nintendo can do 30% off, other publishers should too.

Re: Stardew Valley Creator Reconfirms Version 1.6 Console Release Date
@Daggot I haven’t played, but I’ve heard the schedules and events are just a false sense of urgency. Try to ignore them if you feel like it.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Yakuza Kiwami (Switch)
@YourDaddy The existence of opinions other than your own is enough for you to discount those opinions. Neat.

Re: "Stop Immediately!" - Miyamoto On Hiroshi Yamauchi's Likely Reaction To Nintendo Museum
“[Yamauchi] believed that if you need to over-advertise something to sell, not selling it at all is better.” That’s a rare way of thinking.

Re: Takaya Imamura Sings Praises Of "Hard Working" Shigeru Miyamoto
I’ve bounced off of a few PS games lately. Blockbuster stories backed by tepid if flashy gameplay.
They have a large lineup of samey games: “What will angry man fight next in this gorgeous photorealistic game!?”
