"There's not much to explore, no real challenge, and no reason whatsoever to come back. It introduces concepts that depart almost immediately, and does not provide optional objectives, and its lone boss fight is criminally easy."
I don't mean to be negative but how does this receive the same score as The Cave? You go from giving good games like the Denpa Men a 9 (which is a bit generous) to being overly harsh on a game like the Cave (I think a 7.5 would have been more reasonable).
@Raiko I hate when people say that. It is a puzzle game. Is Tetris not a game? Little Inferno is an incredibly clever game with an absolutely beautiful ending. You really need to see the obvious and the not so obvious to truly appreciate the humour and the level of detail that has gone into this game, and yes it is a game.
It's funny because we are all blaming Nintendo but it is obviously a response to the individual classification authorities of a variety of European countries. Obviously Nintendo have taken a more hard line approach than their competitors but this isn't happening in America or Australia so there must be a specific reason why it's happening in Europe. It could have something to do with Anders Breivick who knows? Australia's videogame classification board have only recently implemented an R18+ classification, before that certain games weren't even released in Australia. Even DOA: D was removed from shelves to be reclassified because the Australian classification board thought you could look up Kasumi's skirt and that was pornographic! I'm not saying I agree with it but it is obviously Nintendo trying to avoid a lawsuit.
@True_Hero Sorry I haven't tried using motion controls for this game. Apparently you can but I'm not a huge fan of motion gaming. I've used the Gamepad and Pro Controller but I haven't tested out Wii Motes. I would assume that you can use the Gamepad Gyro also like with the 3DS but I haven't tried that either. I can give it a go tomorrow.
@photofool83 I agree and honestly what 18-30 goes to bed before 11pm? Seriously it's 3:00AM here and I'm just going to bed. I really don't see an issue with this. If you want the game buy it at 11pm and let it download overnight, it's going to take a while anyway. The only problem is kids know how to use the internet better than their parents so they probably have already read this article and will just download the game at 11pm.
Also for all the adults who go to sleep before 11PM go to the local store and buy the game. How hard is that? People are having a fit and this really doesn't affect that many people. The eshop sales in Europe are abysmal anyway because you can get the retail versions of most Wii U games considerably cheaper anyway so for the people that really want to pay more for ZombiU to have it on their HDD having to purchase it after 11PM will hardly be the deal breaker.
@Ideal_Hero Get yourself a Pro Controller, or two, I prefer using it when I'm playing on the TV although if you use a Gamepad for multiplayer at least you won't have to use split screen.
This game is one of the best kart racers I've ever played. I actually think it's better than any recent Mario Kart game and is one of the best games on the Wii U right now. I'd recommend it to anyone on the fence about it because it is so much better than I ever expected. Honestly It's up there with Diddy Kong Racing for one of my favourite Kart racers of all time.
@BenAV I know I haven't bought it yet because I decided to preorder Paper Mario and had to pay off my Wii U games. That would have been a perfect Xmas present from Nintendo:'(
@MadAussieBloke Hahaha. I think for PAL owners digital downloads of full retail titles isn't really worth it because you will be able to find any retail game for less than 8% off of the RRP. However if you buy alot of eshop titles you are essentially getting something for nothing so that's nothing to scoff at.
@19Robb92 I'm interested in this because although Flash memory is more expensive I prefer the smaller form factor and I personally feel like SD cards are more reliable in the long term. Plus I wouldn't need any more space that 128GB
I want Fantasy Life so bad. Being a huge Mother fan I know that Brownie Brown will have made an awesome game. I hope that NOE strikes a deal with Level 5 for an eshop release if they don't want to risk full retail.
@Reala No matter how revolutionary the Wii was at the time 3rd party dev's barely supported it because it was lacking the power of the HD twins. So personally I'd rather have a less revolutionary console that still has all of Nintendo's awesome exclusives and is supported by 3rd party dev's too.
I read this on the comments of the original IGN article. I thought it was interesting because the original Fable is considered one of Molyneaux's greatest accomplishments.

"Actually he didn't.... he just helped fund a portion of the original Fable game. Dene and Simon Carter of Big Blue Box were actually the ones that created the series originally.
Peter Molyneux and Lionhead stepped in to help offset some of the costs in producing/finishing the game. During which Peter Molyneux who has an enormous ego set himself up as the poster boy for the game. Going around and promoting the title to gaming publications.
So many people believed that he was the original creator, and the idea man behind it. Regardless he wasn't.... he just took a lot of the fame and glory from those who originally did the majority of the work.
My only concern is they said that you can only play VC content in Wii mode which means the Pro Controller won't be compatible with any of the older VC titles.
Crimson Shroud is the Guild01 game I was most looking forward to so I'll definitely be downloading it as soon as it is available. Good Luck Mr Matsuno.
@Shiryu Except Soul Calibur V was a big disappointment. My hope is the GCN version of Soul Calibur II is released on the Wii U VC. That is my favourite fighting game of all time.
@RetroGBHippie92 I wondered why Endgame Studios, an Australian dev, didn't release Fractured Soul here. Too bad cause I really wanted to play that game.
I considered purchasing it but I preordered Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D instead and then it was pushed back and back and back. I recently picked it up and I have to say I have very little respect for n-Space as a dev now. It has to be one of the most awful games I have ever played. How can you screw up a theme park sim? Well they managed to. You can even see in the park selection screen one of the missions for Atari Land hasn't even been centred under the other one. How did they not notice that? I know this is about HoR but I read about a lot of oversights with that game that made me not want to purchase it either. I think n-Space need to improve their game (no pun intended).
@schroedus I'm planning on using a 128GB SD card for my Premium Wii U however we still don't know if it will support SDXC cards which is annoying because if you reformat a 128GB SDXC card to FAT32 it will work with the 3DS however there is a 4GB file limit so if that is the case with the Wii U I would not be able to download Tekken Tag 2.
This is my least favourite fighter behind Soul Calibur and DOA but I am getting this game because of the costumes. Being able to play dressed as Link brings back fond memories of Soul Calibur II:)
I bought this right after the 3DS Nintendo Direct. It has a real Neon Genesis Evangelion vibe to it. Very Japanese but still it's got good production values and it's fun to play.
