Nintendo should open their first European shop in Gothenburg, Sweden to honor their first (and arguably one of Europes biggest) export market outside of Japan.
Excuse me? Super Tennis no all-time hitter? I'd argue it's still one of the, if not THE best, Tennis games ever made. The controls are super complex for the platform and require a lot of knowledge from the player about positioning and aiming.
If you deep-dive into it you'll almost certainly find something more than meets the eye.
Anyway, my vote goes to the SNES because Super Mario World is just THAT good, still one of the best in the entire franchise. I did however choose between SNES and Gameboy because I remember how big of an impact Tetris was for this little machine. Just the perfect combination! And I played it to death in every store that had a demo tower with it on display.
Lego Lord of The Rings is an amazing experience. I chased it down for the PS3 (which is arguably the best way to play it) a few years back during the pandemic. The story telling and the fan service is par to none. There's so many jokes and easter eggs I can't keep track. Can't recommend enough and it's a shame it hasn't been ported for the Switch.
I'm amazed of the amount of games this seemingly tiny company manage to put out. Also in, what seems like, very high quality for each title. Just baffles me.
Absolutely fantastic game. I just wish it was more of its own entry with a brand new graphical experience. Nothing wrong with the nostalgia look but...we want more.
I think many are being a bit over dramatic. Yeah, it's not SWOS. I know, I put hundreds of hours, if not thousands into it in the 90s. But SS24 is still a pretty good game. It can become VERY good if they update it and tweak some stuff. Off the top of my head:
Add faster gameplay! Increase the game speed! It needs to be lightning quick. Maybe a setting like in Street Fighter 2 Turbo to adjust it? But the default speed should be a tick faster.
Improve the atmosphere. The crowd sound is very lacking, it does not feel like you're playing a huge arena. It's dull. Increase the crowd volume, add variation, add "chants".
The referee whistle, it's just gone. There's not even a kick off whistle (this could be filed in the improve atmosphere section).
Lack of proper team names. Just buy the license and update all teams.
Goalies are way too easy on both medium and hard settings. Where's the superman saves?
A setting to turn off automatic replays. We want speeeeed, more gameplay, less other stuff.
A proper transfer market, as the review points out. The card thing is....different, not the best.
4 player offline gameplay. 2v2 teams. That's different, that's new, would be a great addition as an offline party game.
Cross-platform online-play for those sweeeeeeet worldwide tournaments.

Re: Own Sociable Soccer 24? You'll Be Able To Upgrade To The New Game For Free
Great news. I bought SS24 and I really liked it besides some minor stuff that I'm sure can, and will, be addressed.
This is turning out to be a great little football gem, just hoping for that online support real soon!

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
Very happy to see the switch become such a STG power house!

Re: "We Were So Stumped" - Nintendo On The 'Unorthodox' Development Of Alarmo
This will end up with people having sex to the alarm and then plastered all over adult video sites. Nintendo didn't think this through....at....all.

@Magician LRG, Superdeluxe, Clear River are all owned by Embracer (Sweden). They cover all major markets now for retro game releases.
