Really enjoying this game so far.

I like the character designs in this, it is reminiscent of 3ds fire emblem games, which I really enjoyed a couple of years ago.

@mackers84 xenoblade 2 looks pretty bad on the switch 2, ashame because that is my 2nd favourite xenoblade game after x,

Also, someone spotted a new trademark for persona 4 revival, so hopefully that game will get announced in addition to metaphor.

@mackers84 persona 5 is such an amazing game, simular to Falcom's Trails jrpg series, persona is way better on a hybrid/portable console such as a switch than elsewhere.

I played p5 royal for 100 hours on ns2 and whilst playable, the game needs higher frame rates and 1080p res on handheld.

@Craigsouthern nate the hate, did another podcast this afternoon at 3 pm and he reiterated his leak on metaphor and final fantasy 7 rebirth so these games are pretty much guaranteed,

Hopefully persona 5 royal will also get a ns2 edition as well.

Also i hope this is a xenosaga remaster instead.

I would like to see this game remastered as the original was a 200 hour long game, makes me wonder how pyra and mythra will look tho.

Trails sky 2nd chapter, ys x proud nordics, final fantasy 7 rebirth and metaphor refantazio

I would recommend not getting this at launch, i had a really bad experience with tales of xilla 1 on switch and it was buggy and unplayable for a few months, they fixed it in december.

I own falcom's entire switch 1/2, libary and I will buy all future games from them, so this is great, hopefully the port is the remaining cold steel 1 and 2 games.

Looking forward to this next week, I already preordered mine from nis europe just waiting for the dispatch email.

@Largren i really enjoyed p3 reload on switch 2, as these games are very long, having them portable is a must have.

Hopefully, p4 revival will come to switch 2.

When will tales of arise come to switch 2?

@imgrowinglegs if the car cutscene plays on trails zero on switch 2 then i think the main game is playable then,
I was worried for trails to azure on switch 2 because that game had some really important cutscenes in the story.

Its weird that the in game movie viewing menu on new game plus is completely broken on switch 2.

@imgrowinglegs cool awesome, hope Nintendo fix these issues on the next update because trails zero and azure are some of my favourite video games.

Weird thing is in booted up my old switch 1 with a copy of zero earlier and the cutscenes were able to be viewed on the home menu without errors or crashing so its only a switch 2 issue.

The game is 80 hours long, have you had any issues with viewing anime cutscenes in the game,
when I played it on switch 1 the anime cutscenes played at the climax of each chapter or does it skip on switch 2.

I did report it to nis america but got no reply.
Also I tried reporting it to Nintendo via share error on switch 2 but I don't know how to contact them directly.

@imgrowinglegs on switch 2, when I played the game and few months ago the game would crash when in game cutscene was viewed, I already finished the game on switch 1 and had no issues viewing the anime cutscenes in between story chapters or on the menu after new game plus, however on switch 2 the game would crash and force my switch 2 to go to the home screen after viewing in game cutscene.

Oddly enough, Trails from zero has backwards compatibility issues but Nintendo or nis america don't seem to realise.

@Mgalens I agree, there are at least 5 trails games that desperately need switch 2 versions, the two crossbell games and trails daybreak ii, also the cold steel games really need an upgrade too.

Tales of xillia and Tales of vesperia run fine on switch 2 with vesperia running at 60fps.
I would love to see Tales of Arise ported to switch 2.

Also xenoblade x, 3 and 2 all need performance upgrades on switch 2 but I doubt xeno 2 will ever get one because I could see monolith soft making a definitive version of that game in 2027.

This game really needs a switch 2 version, i played this on wii u and switch 1 and noticed that both consoles struggled in some areas of the game but playing this on switch 2 is smoothest sor far but needs higher frame rates.

Alot of people haven't probably heard the game, The Last Story Wii
it had a really amazing firework display sometime at the first chapter or two.

Looking forward to this just hoping they will port Metaphor to switch 2 as well maybe next year.

Great for the text fixes I have to say Gungho's English translation is the worst I have ever seen in a Japanese video game so I hope they will address those errors.

@XenoMario the game is unavailable at every major retailer in the UK on switch, I pre ordered mine from amazon but they said it was supposed to despatch in October, so anybody with a copy at the moment is lucky.

@Pak-Man fire emblem is neglected by Nintendo, there should have been atleast 1 new game this year either a remake or a new entry announced because it has been over 4 years since engage was apparently finished.

Metaphor refantazio is a given but Tales of Arise deluxe edition would be neat.

@GoldenSunRM I have had to make do with watching the story either on youtube or cold steel 3 movie section, cold steel 1&2 is one of those games that desperately needs a switch port in English.

Not sure if anyone from Falcom or Nis america will read my comment but I love your games and have bought every release on switch but I need more to complete my collection, please port Cold steel 1 and 2 and Sky 2 and 3 to the Switch or Switch 2 and I will buy them.

@KociolekDoSyta its a huge shame because I played cold steel 3 in 2022 and have been waiting ever since for the first two games to come out, how did you mod your switch because I have an old switch that I could potentially mod if it works .

Really hyped for this already pre ordered from the nis europe store for switch 2.
Just need cold steel 1 and 2 to come to switch and my collection will be complete.

It would be really good if they could have a section of the eshop dedicated to games that are ranked by metacritic scores, the higher the metacritic/opencritic score the game should be recommended to more users.

For example the current rpg search filter on the switch recommends 1000s of games but barely any that are worth buying.

It seems absurd that the best purchases I have made on eshop were bought through my research and watching youtube videos rather than the eshop recommending those games, for example:
Ys 8, I discovered that game in 2024 when I was watching youtube videos about JRPGs.

It would be much better for me if Nintendo could recommend those games to me rather than trash and ai games then I would have bought that game much earlier.

Please could Bandai Namco port Tales of Arise with its dlc included for a Switch 2 version I played tales of graces on switch and enjoyed it, more jrpgs are much needed.

@Fiergala it's a shame because the rune factory games are fun but they all struggle from performance issues.

It's likely the error was a fault in Guardians of azama coding, i played that game on Ns2 and apart from good loading times, unfortunately the game wasn't very good in stable coding, I had a instance that I fell through the surface when exploring.

None of the launch titles are very good: Guardians of azama is fun for first 10 hours then gets repetitive, however Xenoblade X looks and runs better on NS2, than any console I previously played it on Wii U/Switch1.

I want to order this from the Nis Europe store, does anyone have experience pre ordering this?

@TheExile285 I agree, fortunately they seem to have early access to the hardware as YS Proud Nordics is coming to Japan version on the console next month.

This is good news that Nis America are supporting the NS2, hopefully they will do a NS2 version of Trails beyond the horizon which is supposed to come out this autumn.
