Re: Japanese Charts: Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn Debuts In Sixth, Can't Compete With Switch Titles

@Evilworm Your reply seem like your mad. Did I pull a nerve? LOL

When someone shows more emotions like anger in an arguement then he/she is on the losing end of that said arguement.

The fact that you dodged and not even tell me that you're not like what I have mentioned already makes me inclined to confirm that I am right.

Pokemon is Pokemon
Call of Duty is Call of Duty
And so on...

Keep it the same... change it... it doesn't matter as long as it provides something of value especially to their respective audience. It's just a matter of how you utilize that value to have fun when playing with these games.

The questions you raised are just your preferences that are backed by other people's opinions. So in short an opinion driven with emotions from more opinions driven by emotions.

Is it a perfect game? no such thing exist. Is it a good game? That's subjective. Is it a bad game, that's also subjective. But can it have value in it... yes. Can I use that value to have fun... yes.

Since you can't even find an ounce of value and let alone fun on the Switch anymore which is evidently a fact. I think the biggest question that should be given emphasis to is "Why Evilworm hasn't sold his Switch yet?".

So I ask you this question...

Why haven't you sold it? I can confirm that any Switch game coming out from this point on will only make you miserable.

Singapore... ey?

Last I encountered a Singaporean in the gaming world was in PS Home. I had conversations with a lot people there which no doubt most are now grown up.

But something stuck to me when I was there. Whenever I bring up a game from the PS1 and PS2 era, they quickly brush it off due to... well you guess it! GRAPHICS!!!

I get preference and you like what you like to play but a little open-mindedness wouldn't hurt to be brought out in a discussion.

The Malaysians there were nice though. Very kind and open to discussions which centers around games and their lores.

Re: Octopath Traveler Makes The Leap To Mobile, New Console Game Will Take "A Little While Longer"

Wesjedker

Since many people here are becoming rabid again by focusing on the title alone while not paying attention or reading the article (again)

Here is something straight forward just to soothe the ever wonderous appetite of the console war (I know this is the main reason why some are frustrated by this)
https://twitter.com/ninsoup/status/1103912202883358721?s=20

Also, Square is notorious to put their IPs in mobile.

Bravely Default (An exclusive) also got a mobile game:
https://toucharcade.com/2017/03/27/bravely-default-fairys-effect-is-now-available-in-the-japanese-app-store/

Here is the one for WoFF
https://gematsu.com/2017/12/world-final-fantasy-meli-melo-now-available-japan

And you know what they all have in common right now...

Both are terminated and no longer in service.

This is most likely to try and expand the Octopath brand... you know... much like Pokemon Go provided an opening to at least try to entice newcomers for the Let's Go games.

Have fun with the games you have, never think everything is against you or even the Switch for that matter.

Re: Fans Start Petition For Capcom To Release Resident Evil 4 Physically On Switch

Wesjedker

As a person who prefers physical, I think they should have opted for individual releases instead of a collection for REmake and Zero (Apparently both games can't fit in one cart and Capcom chose the cheapside again). That way both could get their own cart. Individually priced... yes but cheaper and more reasonable (no download) than what they are currently offering.

As for RE4, I think that will sell regardless. Although a physical copy would be great.

@Evilworm Considering you based your statements on your feelings towards Nintendo rather than hard evidence.

Like you said, you're disappointed at Nintendo. Some might agree, some will disagree but your words ain't gospel to everyone and like YOU said it's your opinion so saying hitting the mark makes you look pompous.

Your fear in everything is sad and it shows which is embarassing. Don't play the victim card if you know you're using your opinion as a point against factual evidence.

Just move on.

Re: Future Business Shift Could See Nintendo Move Away From Home Console Development

Wesjedker

If you took the time to read the entire thing, you'll be able to understand what he is trying to say.

Please refrain from creating opinions out of fear just by looking at the title.

I'll post what comment 92 from electrolite77 was saying and I quote:

This is really bad reporting actually. It’s quoting him completely out of context. Here’s the full discussion.

Have you ever run into an “innovation dilemma” – where the company’s past successes were too big, making innovation impossible?

Furukawa: We aren’t really fixated on our consoles. At the moment we’re offering the uniquely developed Nintendo Switch and its software – and that’s what we’re basing how we deliver the “Nintendo experience” on. That being said, technology changes. We’ll continue to think flexibly about how to deliver that experience as time goes on.

It has been over 30 years since we started developing consoles. Nintendo’s history goes back even farther than that, and through all the struggles that they faced the only thing that they thought about was what to make next. In the long-term, perhaps our focus as a business could shift away from home consoles – flexibility is just as important as ingenuity.

Do you expect fluctuations in business performance to continue from here on?

Furukawa: I’m thinking about little ways we can reduce that kind of instability. I’d like to increase the (amount of) games on smartphones that have a continuous stream of revenue. We’re also dabbling in theme parks and movies – different ways to have our characters be a part of everyday life. I’m anticipating a strong synergy like that.
