Technically, the tagline "The XL stands for "Xtra Luigi" doesn't work since this model is coming out in Japan where they call it a 3DS LL!

Just watched the trailer on my 3DS, it looks really nice and makes great use of the 3d screen.
Only one problem; I've never played Link to the Past!!! And I don't have a Wii/Wii U, I hope the release it on the 3DS eshop so I can play the original first.

The screen looks to have a lot going on which makes it hard to follow on the small screen; I watched the 3D trailer on the eshop.
I think I'll wait for a demo to make my mind up but I did enjoy the old N64 version.

However, it really makes me wana buy this game but I live in the UK! We don't even have a release date for EOIV yet.
But can't complain too much, just been notified that my Fire Emblem Awakening pre-order has been sent. And who knows, maybe we'll get a release date for EOIV in tomorrows Nintendo Direct.

@SirQuincealot The DS was called lite because it was smaller, surely a 3DS with a right analog nub would be called the 3DSrite?!

I enjoyed Crimson Shroud a lot, I just hope the Guild01 titles sold enough to make them want to bring these Guild02 titles over.

Wow, Vib Ribbon, I remember that game. I loved it, there were only a few tunes but they were crazy and great.
For me the HarmoNight demo didn't excite, I just found the music bland which is a problem in a rhythm game.

That's sad. It's not enough content to make me buy the game again, but I would have paid for DLC on 3DS.

I always felt cheated by Hell Mode on 3DS because the demo had a Hell Mode with different Item and Enemy placement, but when the full game came along this wasn't the case!

I've never played this series before but am excited for this latest entry, I think it's something to do with being starved of old school rpgs on my 3ds.

Hmm.... A little concerned there's not a single review out for this game yet. It's out in the US tomorrow right?!
I'm guessing it's under embargo until the very last minute, which is usually a bad sign.
Having said that, the demo was great. I really hope I'm wrong.

I had managed to give up hope on this game, but this twitter feed is really making it hard to not start hoping again!!!

Shame Nintendo didn't give more notice. I was actually playing my 3DS between 2-4pm but had no idea this was happening!

The review makes me want this game. If it really does come out in Europe in the spring I may well pick it up.

Would definately get this game if it did come over to Europe.

Wow, this is a sad news story. I was suprised how little Rayman Legends was talked about in the last Nintendo Direct, should have seen it coming.

Surely a futuristic FE would be better suited in the Advance Wars franchise, although the game play is a little different. But for all your current futuristic FE needs why not try Ex-com, although that would require a console without a Nintendo logo on it!!

To be able to move my MarioKart7 data onto the system would be nice but I don't think I want to spend another £40 for the same game. Maybe if there's a sale on MK7 in the future I'll do it but for now I'll just continue to carry the cart with me.

I'm pretty sure all that extra content is already on the 3DS cart, it's just locked at the moment! I'm just waiting for Capcom to release eshop DLC so I can access it!!!

Does that mean we will be able to register the game at nintendo.co.uk for star points, or would that have been an option anyway?!

You can actually watch a 3D trailer on the eshop, just search for Monster Hunter and it will come up.

A demo is great news, now I'll be able to try this and Castlevania to decide which to buy first. Very much in two minds at the moment, loved Castlevania for years and never played Monster Hunter before, but I have a feeling this could change...

I hope we get English dub in the EU. Just playing through Virtues Last Reward and wishing they'd given me the English dub like they got in the US.

Even if someone says the voice acting is better in Japanese that makes no difference to me; I'm a unilingaul neanderthal!

I waited for the review on this one, have played it for a couple of hrs and really having fun, thanks Phil for the recommendation.

@Windy Ooo, 3D pics I'll check them out later. Price of Lib Maiden was £7.19 ($7.99) and Aero Porter was £4.49 ($4.99) so I'm expecting a similar price point, maybe slightly more than Lib Maiden because I imagine there would have been more text to translate.
Looking forward to this as an early Christmas Present.

As a lefty I prefer the stylus at the top. With the lite I would have to take it out with my right hand and then switch it!

On another note, I'm glad to see they got rid of that unecessary green '3D' light next to the depth slider. I always found that off putting.

Really enjoyed the Nintendo Direct myself, feels like this should have come out at E3 but I guess they didn't want to take anything away from the Wii U.
I upgraded to a DSi XL last time around but it didn't suit me. The bigger screens were nice, I never noticed the supposed drop in quality due to having the same resolution. But for me it was just too big, I managed to carry it around but mainly it was just to big to hold; I found my hands getting tired easily because it was so top heavy.

I bought this game on release day and agree with the review. A very ambitious game, if only they'd had a bigger team with more money to work on it we might have had a triple A title.
I just hope that some DLC does come out to fix the bugs. Maybe us europeans are just BETA testing this for the Americans!

I enjoy the Direct videos and will watch this before going to work, I just hope its good news or it could ruin my day.
In particular I'm hoping they talk about patching Heroes of Ruin, I know it's only just out now but it's quite buggy and lacking end game content. At the moment it feels like we're BETA testing it for the Americans!

Yeah it all sounds great. Just make sure you have the sound turned off when you watch the trailer, the voice acting is woefully bad!
That said, if it ever comes to Europe I'll still buy it for sure.

I tried to buy Resi Revelations from a london Game store last weekend and they didn't have it in stock, they rang round other london stores but no-one had it, and it's out of stock on their online store?!
I like to buy my games on the high street but Game are making it difficult.

This news just made my Monday.

I hope there's a 'Hard Mode' play through option like there was with the Resi Revelaitons Demo. (Oops, I mean Revelations, easy mistake to make!)

Didn't realize you could increase the 3D depth, just played the demo through on the highest setting and it looks great.
Also tried out Gyro aiming for the first time and it certainly helps for head shots, made Hell mode a lot easier.
Now I just need to raise some funds for the actual game.

Good advice on keeping the software open and just using sleep mode.

Also, after you beat the demo level you can select 'Hell' mode in the difficulty settings! Making for a whole new experience; that ain't no standard zombie that pops out of the wardrobe from Hell!?!

p.s. Has anyone managed to get their zombie scan count to 100%, if so what happens?
