@Link79 My guess is that the queue of VC games ready to be released in NA/EU is drastically low and rather then release one game as soon as its ready with weeks of nothing in between, they're building up a bigger queue so they can do consistent releases.
And if that's true, I wouldn't hold it against them.
Alternatively: Blame Namco for whatever reason is holding them back on putting their Arcade games out everywhere else.
Alternatively 2: Blame D4 for whatever reason is holding them back on putting their recent NeoGeo releases out everywhere. I have some hope that they'll pull through eventually though.
@Kevin Where did you see the NES version confirmed for 3DS VC? Last thing I remember was GB version confirmed for today and NES version of Double Dragon 2 confirmed for Wii VC.
Nintendo published Final Fantasies seem unlikely to me. So far the games they're offering are being offered universally and seeing as Nintendo didn't publish the FF games in Japan, that already writes them off.
3DS DQ was already announced as another Slime game wasn't it? I mean, that E3 list from way back then just meant Dragon Quest as a general franchise is coming to 3DS I thought and not some main entry.
@Vinsanity I don't think it's Nintendo's fault for the lack of Game Gear games. It could be that getting Game Gear to work on 3DS isn't ready yet. Which is probably more Sega's problem than Nintendo.
This really just seems like one of those customer service cookie cutter e-mail responses. Like you'd get this exact same response if you asked them last week or last month.
@Froggievilleus Argh I hope you see this! Anyway, sometimes games announced in the PR don't have a page up yet on NoA's site. Or they do and it's just hidden. Typically they're all public around Tuesday.
Ok you know what James. I think you should just increase the font size on the sentence that says it's a partial list. Bold everything, underline it all, and type it in a crazy font. Way too many people are under the impression this is the final list.
@Kainard WiiWare and DSiWare announcements have moved to Thursdays too. These games listed here aren't formally announced in a Press Release, they're based off what's been dated so far on www.nintendo.com
@ocarinaoftime No, like it's been said, this is only a partial list. Nintendo almost certainly has updates for the Wii VC and the 3DS eShop, they just aren't public yet.
I'm on the fence about if I should download Nintendo 3DS Transferring Tool. The gameplay looks solid but repetitive. Is there even an ending? I need a review. I NEED A REVIEW!
Guys DSiWare is going to be there. It's right there in the second paragraph of the PR. Pokedex 3D and possibly Excitebike 3D constitutes as 3DSWare. Nintendo just isn't using 3DSWare as a branding.
Also @Link79 as far as we know, Thursday just means thats when the US and EU eShops will update but Wii/DSi will update like normal. I don't know if they confirmed Thursday in Japan yet but it seems likely.
@Chibi_Link eShop is confirmed for the evening of June 6 in Americaland while stimoultaneously confirmed for June 7 everywhere else. The big 3DS update will happen pretty much worldwide so it'll actually show up 12+ hours before the conference.
Has Nintendo decided not to give out demos anymore?
I don't think Nintendo would just stop like that. I think it's just...they might not have any they can give. If nobody's submitting, they don't have a queue!
@EdEN I think when it hits PSN it'll sell for the normal $6 actually. They've been pretty good about selling at the normal price lately. The FF5 PS1 port was released in EU at the regular price I believe, so that's why I figure CT PS1 will be low.
Seeing as most of Nintendo's releases these days don't show up on the ESRB site until after they're released, I'd say Nintendo is very careful about letting games get "announced" through ESRB.
Year 5 is the fourth entry. Deceptively, the Learning Mathematics thing didn't start with Year 1. I think they've said there's only going to be four anyway. Why do I know this.
@5 That's uh...ridiculously pessimistic. Just because we didn't get FF6 so soon after everyone else doesn't mean it's not coming, it's just coming later. Chrono Trigger and Mega Man X are coming too, there's really no reason they wouldn't come. We don't even need a rating or anything, these are pretty much implied.
@Clinker that article is based on the ESRB rating which may or may not be wrong. It's just like this NLife article reporting a VC rating. They're just reporting what they're seeing on the ratings board. Joystiq doesn't have any secret inside info confirming it's a PSN and XBLA release and not VC.
These ratings boards are either mixed up or there's a conspiracy going on.
@theblackdragon As far as I know, the only US or EU DSiWare there's no reviews for are the two english training games that came out in the non-English European countries.
@Nintenzo That's the franchise's way of titling remakes. Since this game is a REmake of CODED, thus it's Re:coded. They did the same thing when they remade Chain of Memories for PS2 calling it Re:Chain of Memories.
Given that eShop is supposed to come out in May, shouldn't this statement be taken with a grain of salt? I don't think it's good to believe everything IGN says just cause they're the biggest news site.
Wouldn't we hear something about Japan's VC launch lineup by now if this were the case?
@WolfRamHeart: I wanna point out that those Airport Mania versions are different. First Flight showed up on WiiWare and today's DSiWare is Non-Stop Flight. In addition to that, First Flight is planned for a DSiWare release.
I think this Spot the Differences existed before Spot the Difference. And one of these is getting release on the service that the other one is one so it's just gonna get more confusing from here on it.

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd November 2011 (North America)
@pntjr If you're implying that Balloon Kid is simply Balloon Fight but on GB you'd be way off.
Re: 3DS System Transfer Tool Arrives With November Update
@the_dude
Before they were saying that the GBA ones wouldn't be transferrable but they later changed this and said they will transfer after all.

Re: R-Type Being Removed from Virtual Console
Game Boy R-Type? That's not on VC.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd September 2011 (Europe)
@Link79
No, Burn the Rope for WiiWare and Cut the Rope for DSiWare are not part of the same series. Just two games dealing with rope.
Re: Talking Point: The Five Remaining GBA Ambassador Games

I'd expect it's a 2012 release.
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th August 2011 (Europe)
AND reportedly games are being REMOVED from the Wii Shop Channel
It's not like this just happened or anything. People are only just now noticing.
Re: Europe, Your Spirit Will Avenge on 3DS VC Soon
@Vinsanity I don't think it's Nintendo's fault for the lack of Game Gear games. It could be that getting Game Gear to work on 3DS isn't ready yet. Which is probably more Sega's problem than Nintendo.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - August 2011
@StarDust
Japan had more games released for these systems in the first place, therefore they have a larger pool to choose from.

It's not actually

Well if 101-in-1 games are good enough for Atlus to consider publishing...
Re: Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy Vanishes into the Crowd

Regardless, if it's a port it'll most likely be more current.
Re: Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy Vanishes into the Crowd

Wii U Assassins Creed isn't THE original title, it's AN original title.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June 2011 (North America)
@vherub La-Mulana's the only big hit right now. Unless Interplay remakes and Protocol are also on your wishlist.
@XCWarrior I'm certain FF6 was going to come out today regardless of the Rainfall business.

@Henmii, the game is no longer called BurgerTime HD and I'm sure MonkeyPaw will follow through with the WiiWare version.

Abylight is still waiting for date? NIntendo's E3 list for upcoming DS games put this for a July 14 release.

Super Hang-On also makes use of tilting the Wii Remote if I'm not mistaken. Sega's trying all sorts of things on VC.

MDK2 is next week. Does that count?
Fun (Depressing?) Fact: Bingo Party Deluxe is the only WiiWare game that Japan got this year. So far.
Re: Chrono Trigger Rated, North American Release on the Cards
@pixelman Oop, I was talking about the thing you said about Chrono Trigger iPhone. Not FF6 VC.
Re: Chrono Trigger Rated, North American Release on the Cards
@pixelman Is it? You might be confusing the iPhone release with a Japanese mobile phone release.
Re: Iwata: Wii has More to Offer, Unannounced Games on the Way
Some of the games Iwata's planning for the release-a-month thing include Goldeneye and Just Dance 2 so if Japan can get catch-up titles...

Re: Nintendo Download: 18th March 2011 (Europe)
@Mickeymac It's well-hidden. Look here. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Natsume-Inc/94338588396
Scroll down some and they'll mention it.
That said, with FF6 getting released in Japan and Europe real close, I'm starting to think it's possible it could replace or join NCW on Monday.
Re: Monster World IV Comes Westward, Finally
Calling this as a Steam release.
Re: Review: Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (DS)
