Wow, let me tell you guys something. Anytime I fill out reviews for my nintendoclub coins, I mention that Nintendolife.com had an influence in buying the product. I bet there's more of us that have. Could that have helped in his resume?
I'm glad it's not one of those Gamespot guys. How could anyone give Skyward Sword less than a perfect score? Let alone a 7.5...Jeez.
Good luck, James. Your reviews were excellent, I'm sure Nintendo of Europe will have a great online editor.
None of these prizes are as nice as the figurine (with the mario characters) from two years ago. I've kept mine mint with the cool [?] box that it came in.
Yeah, I got the pins/buttons last year. Woopdi-doo. MISB material there, lol. I didn't even take them out of the mail bag.
I already have all the games. Doc Louis's Punch-out would have been nice, I missed out on that one.
Well, I guess it's the cards for me this year. I'll throw it in the vault.
I just beat Rocket Knight (Adventures) last week. Tough as nails, that game is. Even on easy. Blast those limited continues!
edit: Rocket Knight/Sparkster/Adventures titles are a bit confusing as there are 4 individual and unique games with similar titles. Had to make sure I had the proper title. Yes, I meant the one for Genesis/Megadrive not the current XBox 360 Arcade / PSN game. But I can't wait to try that one out.
I'm addicted to Mario Tennis Open right now. I QR'ed some new stuff on it, just found a white yoshi. Also, I put a couple hours on Mutant Mudds, good old-fashioned styled gameplay with a new twist, love it.
I hope there are more months like this. I'm debating on Kirby Superstar, but I may still want to get the DS title, instead. I DO have a lot of coins, though (over 1800).
I already have Donkey Kong, and it is the best version of any game with THAT title. Incase some of you don't know, there are 97 levels on this one. Anyone who doesn't have it and has 100 coins, GET IT!!
I think 2.5D is like what they did on the Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP. It makes sense to me, considering that they had to make use of the 3DS stereoscopic screen. So, yeah, it'll be 3-dimensional, but you'll only be able to move in the 1st and 2nd dimension.
Anyways, it sounds like this will be a refreshing new Castlevania title
Farsight is getting better with the pinball physics, I've noticed. I'm a big fan of pinball, and it'll be nice to see Pinball Arcade making it on the Nintendo market. But, do you really have to tease us with the Twilight Zone? Oh man, I want that to happen, sooo bad. (I'm having doubts) It's been a long time coming if they actually do it.
Yeah, I ended up getting Gunstar Heroes. I didn't need much convincing, but your advice was the little push that I needed, lol! Whew, that boss on the second stage is TOUGH. Awesome game.
I had a 2000 point Wii card and 200 points left over from before. I ended up getting Super C (NES) and Gradius 2 (TG-16) along with Gunstar Heroes (MD). Just the kind of gaming I'm in the mood for.
I'm going to play 'Megaman X Collection' for the GC. I already beat X1 and X2, currently on X3. I'm also pondering if I should get Sega's Gunstar Heroes from the VC.
Wow, you guys are a bit late with the review on this game. I bought this game on a whim back in December, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. Awesome fun game! Beautifully textured graphics. The controls are a bit quirky, but it's not hard getting used to. This game will probably get overlooked due to it's bargain bin price at the 'under $20' range. Generally, games selling at that price aren't that good and, most of the time, they aren't even worth that price. Nano Assault is genuinely a great game for a great bargain. Nice review, btw.
I haven't played any of the Kingdom Hearts games. I guess I really need to buy a used PS2 and fire up the old tube tv...which would be inexpensive. But I am a HUGE fan of the Disney characters created when Walt Disney, himself, was at the helm (rip). So yeah, I'm a fanboy. Send that special edition over here. But I would love to see a 3DS port of the first 2 games.
This stand could be useful for different reasons. My left hand starts to go numb after a half hour or so, but that could be due to posture. But this is a minor problem and can be disregarded. Sitting up instead of in a reclining position helps that problem.
I will use the stand for a much better reason: To keep my 3D viewing angle free from mobility. I tend to re-adjust my viewing angle a lot while I'm playing certain games. KI:U may be a pretty intense game and could be hard to keep the handheld from being still while mashing away on buttons or while using your stylus (if it's required to use on a heavy basis).
@62...I wouldn't recommend transferring any DSi games to your 3DS. DS and DSiware games just look better on the proper hardware. I just don't have a DSi, and it's nice that I can finally download Pinball Pulse.
Oh yeah, I just downloaded Zen Pinball. Been waiting a long time for that one. But did anyone else notice that "Pinball Pulse - The Ancients Beckon" is also available for 3DS now. It was formerly one of those DSiware games that didn't make it on 3DS.
Play the GBA version, then tell me if GC had the worst of the bunch. It's nice that each version of Mario Kart had their own gimmicks. Two players on the same kart was fun, also. One guy cruises around, the other punches everyone out of the way. Double Dash will always be a fun one to revisit just because it's the only one that can do that.
Uh oh. I was HOOKED on Pinball Fx 2 (Zen's equivalent on XBox 360) and developed some sort of injury on my tendons (it was only temporary but it lasted for weeks). This game on the little 3DS might just hurt me even more, but I love pinball and I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
@56... I agree with you 100%. Kirby has become the jack-of-all-trades in Nintendoland. If there are Kirby purists, they should retitle themselves as 'Kirby In Dreamland' purists, and take this game as a quintessential Nintendo DS game.
Mario Kart 7 Star Fox 64 3D Kirby Mass Attack Legend Of Zelda - Spirit Tracks Legend Of Zelda - Twilight Princess (missed out on those, though Skyward Sword is still in my current playlist)
AND, I got a used, but mint condition, crimson & black DS lite to replace the one I broke a couple of years ago, so that I can have a proper screen for my DS games (as opposed to the 3DS) with a GBA port to boot...aaah, they don't make 'em like that anymore. Plus, I get to use my rumble pak again.
Ah, the Donkey Kong Game & Watch, nice. I remember when I got mine in the 1980's, too. Still have it, although it took a beating unlike the one in the picture. I never had an Atari, though. Matter of fact, I did get one Atari 5200 with a whole bunch games for X-mas '86, but it only worked for one hour. I had to return it the next day and, oddly, there were a whole bunch of people in line returning theirs with the same problem as well. Guess what I ended up getting instead? It had a robot and a light gun. *grins
This Samus timeline has left me a little mind-boggled. Back when I played this in '03, I was able to link the GC and the GBA together, with Prime 1 and Fusion respectively, so that I could unlock the Fusion suit on Prime 1 (Neat, huh?)! But that only defies the timeline, doesn't it?
Anyways, cheers to another great game on my 3DS! Now I wonder if I can unlock that fusion suit in Metroid Prime Trilogy. hmmmmm
Haha, I see a few complaints about having way too many games on our 3DS's. It IS rather overwhelming. I have also bought quite a few from the e-shop and now have about 45 games loaded on the system (including all the free downloaded games plus Face Raiders and AR Card game). My only gripe is that it can be a little troublesome to organize all the games and other features I have on a tiny little touch screen. I would love to be able to organize everything into separate folders.
For you ambassadors who are also Club Nintendo members with the twenty free games, I believe we've already earned 100 coins for doing surveys for the first ten games after 7 days. I'm still waiting to see if we get another 100 coins for the latest ten. But that's enough to for me to get a free 3D Classics: Xevious and Super Mario Kart (for Wii's VC) as a bonus right there. 200 coins earned for FREE in addition to the free VC games! What a treat!
Wow! I'm up to almost 1500 coins by now and have been a bit lackadaisical lately with the surveys, only because of the slim pickings from the reward menu. If there's going to be some cooler items in there, I have some more surveys to do. I have all the 3D Classic games so far, except Xevious, so that's a nice little bonus...I hope to see Kid Icarus on that list, that would be just too sweet, though, wouldn't it?
Miyamoto is a mastermind at heart. He can be just as great as a leader as anybody and already made living proof of that. But that only slowed him down from being the artist and the inventive person that he is. Literally, going back to the drawing board is exactly what he needs, imo. Perhaps he can spawn more ideas this way. What starts out little, turns into something big.
