Of course I just spent like 1000 coins, but this is great news nonetheless!

Nice I have Xevious and SMK already. I did not care for Fluidity but I like the idea of using coins for some games.

This is good news. Although it seems like you'll only be able to buy select games. It would be better if you could buy any game with them. Either way, these coins are now more valuable.

I'm going to say it's safe to this this offer currently is only for US? Typical it wouldn't go through to the UK/European areas for decades or even at all... :/

Well, it's about time! I haven't redeemed as many Club Nintendo rewards as I would like, because most of the stuff they got don't grab me. At least offering games is a step in the right direction.

My friend is going to be so annoyed that he bought Xevious when he could of gotten it along with games he was going to get anyways. Maybe I'll get it for "free" just to bug him.

My problem with this is, I'm afraid I'll spend all my points on games and then Club Nintendo will finally offer something really cool that I will then be unable to afford! <-- Gotta have something to complain about!

Also, I think this is the first step in Nintendo's promise that we would soon be able to buy games for our systems away from our systems.

Possibly Super Mario Kart too, still undecided, is it that much different than the GBA's remade SNES courses?

we have a similar scheme on the european club site where we can trade star points for eshop points, at a cost of 4 club points to 1 eshop points though.
they released that here ages ago, so i`m suprised that a similar scheme took so long to get to the US club site.
do be carefull not to waste your coins, this maybe an indicator that the snes classic controller may turn up on the US club site around summer time next year.
the snes classic controller came up a few months after on the european club site, at a point when i had spent most of my club points on trading them for wii downloads.
it wouldn`t suprise me if nintendo did that knowing that people would use up their points before releasing the snes classic controller. that way they wouldn`t have to make so many snes classic controllers.

@Crunchy_in_milk - no problem but be forewarned you need to be one of the best to unlock the snes courses, you much finish each cup with 100 plus coins on each difficultly to unlock all of the different snes courses that go along with that course. To use an example if I got 100 coins n the special cup n 100cc then I would unlock the snes special cup on 100cc but I would still need to go do 50cc and 150cc to get the other engine classes and then I would also have to do the same with every other cup. It's a challenge I pulled off before on my gba but also this is important you can't trade snes ghosts and snes cpus have a much harder difficulty.

Great to see that Nintendo is putting the option to purchase codes for select games for Club Nintendo.

Although, I wish you could just use real cash for this (via Nintendo online store), instead of CN coins.... quite a hassle without it.

I hope that 3DS VC can be redeemed. I also hope that I can get 3D classics Kirby's adventure, Excitebike, Kid Icarus, and Pushmo for 100-250 coins each

The EU Club Nintendo just recently had the Game & Watch replica and DS game added (which I bought). Hopefully we'll get eShop vouchers soon.

i was thinking this is a great idea but if they included all the virtual console games, as well as put more games on the V.C every month and people can buy them with coins, nintendo would make even more profit from this.

I don't understand why so many people keep complaining, and what's more, attacking Nintendo. As far as I know this was never officially announced, so even if it weren't true, Nintendo's not to blame. Personally I think it is true and will be up within a week, based on Nintendo Week specifically mentioning new rewards coming by next Thursday. You guys really need to chill. NOA is finally doing something good with Club Nintendo, and I plan on supporting the move by getting at least 2 or 3 of the games when they're available. Here's hoping we get more games, plus the SNES remote, in the future.

SIGHT. nobody in the wolrd get this things for the prices you guys get...50 dlls for a game? 170 dlls for the 3ds? if a had a nintendo club membership they were out of stock of everything! but no! i dont have the right to get all the nintendo club rewards, coz i pay doble and get nothing in return.

Wow! I'm up to almost 1500 coins by now and have been a bit lackadaisical lately with the surveys, only because of the slim pickings from the reward menu. If there's going to be some cooler items in there, I have some more surveys to do. I have all the 3D Classic games so far, except Xevious, so that's a nice little bonus...I hope to see Kid Icarus on that list, that would be just too sweet, though, wouldn't it?

Right now it costs us about 400stars/coins to get 100 Nintendo points, which will get you... nothing. :/

@123 Exactly. You have to give 800 stars for 200 points, and that will only get you the cheapest stuff.

Well it's about time. Instead of letting those coins going to waste, gamers can actually used their leftover balance to get stuff like this instead of only the rewards on their web site.

I enjoyed fluidity immensely, except the high difficulty of the ending.

I only spent coins last June because i needed to or they were gone. Now I can get things I actually want. And you know how game and watch ds games are something crazy like 1200 coins? I thought downloadable games (brand new games whereas game and watch is like twenty years old) would be like 4000 each. so this is great news.

This is a great way to advertise games in the eShop. I mean when you're there you might be shown some other games along with the one you're getting ... At least i hope they can motivate people to also download games that they can't get with Coins.
Getting eShop credit instead of games would be great for us informed people though.
