Re: Senior EA Employee Caught Out Criticising Wii U On Twitter

The fanboys can hate all they want. Nintendo isn't going anywhere, anytime soon.
Nintendo has more rupees in the bank to stay afloat than that lot can even imagine. A lot more than the price of a shell suit let me tell you.

But be it Nintendo, Sony or MS, a casualty would be a blow for everyone. It wouldn't matter what system you're a hardcore fan of. Having any one of them fail would be another nail hammered into an already knackered looking coffin of an industry.

You get what you pay for and LIVE is a great service. PSN is even better. Almost like a LIVE 2.0
Microsoft charge peanuts for their online service considering what you and I as the consumer get back but looking at how PS3 does it's business, it's about time Microsoft drop the handcuffs. The beauty of the PS3s online service is that it's free, crammed full of stuff and the prices are fair. Having the option to upgrade is always handy but it shouldn't be either online or offline. If some want free online services, great but some may like to pay to improve it or access new, extra features.

The one thing I don't like about WiiU is these eShop prices. No excuse for them.

You may have liked it, I did too but it was a fail.
It was that gen that saw me open myself up to all systems. Nintendo kinda forced my hand on that one.
Again, it's great Bayonetta 2 is on WiiU after all the original is amazing but I don't like seeing these sequels and broken up series plonked onto WiiU without their relatives present. It's not so bad if you have played these games as was intended but I don't understand how some can play say, Mass Effect 3 and through sheer Nintendo fanboyism, ignore Mass Effect 1&2 etc. It's crazy.

Play other systems. Nintendo won't cry if you do.

The distance between Nintendo especially in the online department and the others speaks for itself. Nintendo have had a lot of chances to 'catch up' and they haven't acted upon them. I love Nintendo I do but WiiU has a distinct Game Cube odour about it.

They've grown yes, but they are always behind the competition. Take off those stupid Luigi hats and focus!

PS3 borrowed from LIVE and good on them because frankly, it's an incredible service. Both are but Nintendo's offering is a joke in comparison.

Nothing wrong with looking over the wall now and then, Nintendo. It's hard work being a Nintendo fan sometimes. Just hope Bayonetta 2 is under the £50 mark on eShop when it hits. We don't need another new AC3.

Re: Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

Tsuchiya

It just wasn't designed to do such things. The HDDs are but WiiU and the way it handles all this is pathetic. This prices they charge to download are bloody stupid.
I like my WiiU and its fine coating of dust will be blown away when Chase arrives but even with a time machine, Nintendo would still be left behind. They just don't get it like the others do.

Shame.

@WhiteTrashGuy
Drop the Wii tag altogether. Well, it's too late now. Maybe next time go with The Nintendo Gankona
Rick from RTUSA recently said he had to explain to a shopper that WiiU was a new console, not the preexisting Wii and I'm sure he's not alone in doing so there. It sounds like a stupid thing to cause confusion but it's happening.

Re: Android-based Ouya Console Will Have NES and SNES Emulation At Launch

Tsuchiya

I really think OUYA will be a hit. I'm no fan of ill gotten games but for those games we must wait years for, accessing them in this way is hardly taking down empires. It's like a protest. It screams at Nintendo. We're telling them they've been stupid for not using their own software properly, it's too expensive or is badly emulated.

Like a zombie dodging Curagas.
