@Captain_Balko
I like Nintendo. I'm just not a Mario fan anymore
Someone here took the time out to post a 4 part thread on Miiverse on how I'm apparently ruining gaming. You really need to calm down.
@WaveBoy
MarioU adding a 'Luigi mode' which I would augue (shocker!) should've been there from the start is terrible. I don't care if it gives us this, this or this, it's should've been there already.
What would I do? I'd stop everything and strip it bare. Look back to the NES, Snes and N64 games and try to recapture the magic found there. Lose the stories and the gimmicks and just go back to straight up platforming.
@NinGamer85 RPG elements to freshen it up a bit? We'd be going around in circles again. Mario needs to take a breather before it all becomes insufferable.
@L-Lawliet
Do we really need a story anymore though?
It's a problem with Zelda as well which thankfully, is a problem being addressed.
Let's go back to basics. Point A to Point B. Add a timer, enemies like usual but loose the crap in between. No stupid, predictable 'story' anymore. Give Peach a spine and a purpose. Retire Bowser for a while. Do something to escape the repetitiveness.
@L-Lawliet
Of course I do but it includes neither fat plumbers or samurai.
@WaveBoy
Ok, scrap annoying. Insert pointless.
Shaking a Wiimote to initiate a spin attack isn't innovation, it's a gimmick. Wii was pretty good at that though I'll grant you.
Maybe I should stop comparing all this tat with Mario64. That was mind blowing. So what if Mario is in space or on an island or whatever, you jump, jump, and jump some more. It's all gone a bit stale.
@Angel792 A basic tutorial should've been there. This is a demo of a 'new' game and it could've done more in the way of informing newcomers. It didn't. It's crap.
@SetupDisk
I have a feeling 360 fans will say the same exact thing come 720.
I haven't owned a Sony system since PS2. I went 360 rather than PS3. I was practically begging Sony to get me interested in PS4 as I wanted their new Sony system alongside Nintendo this time around. They failed. I bought a PS3.
On one hand, we have supposed Kinect only gaming and forced installs while on the other hand, Cloud gaming and possible zero backwards compatibility. I like and (now, as of today) own all 3 systems but thank God we have Nintendo keeping gaming fairly simplistic.
Tried the MH demo again. I'm not liking it at all. The controls at least to me, just don't suit the gamepad. I guessed it would look somewhat similar to the Wii version visually. I wasn't expecting a graphical blowout but it looks exactly the same.
Am I just playing the Wii version here albeit with new Barneys thrown in? I'd prefer Wiimote controls. Less fuss. And have I noticed lag? May need to cancel the pre order.

Re: THQ To Sell Majority Of Its Remaining IPs This April
Nintendo, get that wallet out and spend. Too great an opportunity to miss!
Re: Masahiro Sakurai's Arm Injury Impacts His Work On Smash Bros.
Terrible news. Let's hope he recovers well and with haste. x
Re: Feature: A Further Investigation into LEGO City: Undercover
Really looking forward to this!

I couldn't care. I'm no fan anymore but the old games are and always will be, the best.

@gavn64
Save it for Miiverse.
I'm a guy, nothing has dropped off as of yet.
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
Lego meets anything Nintendo would be so much fun. I'd love to see Chase playable in Smash Bros U.

Which one, Lego or an open world?
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
Lego Mario?
Open world Mushroom Kingdom maybe?

Sorry, my mistake I meant @Captain_Balko. If not him, it's someone here.
Trying to juggle usernames around the gamepad..

Is it you that just harrased me on Miiverse? The times both here and there match up. Someone is a little bit too angry here.

Some of us look after our gear you know.
Not white but my absolutely hideous and vomit inducing Sea Foam Blue Lite hasn't got a single mark on it. The walls and carpet however..
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
@Nintenjoe64
Bethesda and Bioware are pretty good in that department too. Konami direct like they've eaten Kubrick after he's eaten Hitchcock.

Calm down.
No need for the am dram.
@WaveBoy 10? God no!
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series

Yarn Yoshi. Now that's innovation to its series, even if it's just Kirby re-knitted.

And strictly no more 'RPGs'

Huh, nice to see the gents of Liverpool included in screenshot 3.

Sorry, I don't agree.
*Edit - Dude.

I'll be really interested to see how it'll fair on the PS4 when released compared to PS3.

I'll time travel, purge my mind and let you know. I still believe Mario has lacked geniune innovation since N64.
@WaveBoy
The waggling about was awful. That wasn't innovation, it was just annoying.

@LuigiMan200
Sunshine and Galaxy?
What's the genuine, ground breaking innovation there? I fail to see any.
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
It stopped being innovative after Mario64. It's just CoD in dungarees nowadays. Same old, same old.

Here's hoping they flog the designer of that hideous pad and change it come E3. It looks like one of those GAME own brands.
First impressions are everything and they failed to impress me. I was really hyped for it too. I'll pass.

No.

Such a gorgeous little system.

I need a sit down.

Yes, but to those not familiar with the Wii version? You're left totally alone in the demo. It's terrible.

Re: Talking Point: Sony's PlayStation 4 Poses a Fresh Challenge for Wii U in the 2013 Holidays
Surely with Sony and the PS4, its biggest rival is the PS3 not Nintendo or Microsoft.

Good Moaning.

Pick the wrong weapon and even on easy mode it's still a chore. It does look good in HD though, if still a little Wii-esque in places.
Re: Talking Point: Sony's PlayStation 4 Poses a Fresh Challenge for Wii U in the 2013 Holidays
@Magnet_Man018
I own a WiiU, an Xbox and as of today, a PS3.
PS4 just doesn't float my boat at all. Cloud gaming is a huge turn off for me.
I'm bracing myself for the price though.
