Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Surpassed 10 Million Sales In Three Days

Trajan

@Arawn93 people are pirating the game while owning collectors editions.

Most of the reason for the piracy is as this site said, they don't want to play this game on bad hardware. People don't want to play a game that looks like xenoblade 3ds in 2023. The game looks great at higher resolutions.

Nintendo never gives bonuses for higher sales.

Not trying to justify anything, just stating that piracy didn't hurt this games sales. Nor did it hurt pokemon last year.

Re: Talking Point: Great Game, Poor Performance - When Does A Bad Frame Rate Not Really Matter?

Trajan

@valharian the frame rate is pretty consistent except immediately after quick traveling.

Unless it's an fps or racing game, 60 fps is fine for me. 30ish on switch games is OK I guess. Doesn't bother me much, but the drops in BOTW, and XC2 handheld were noticeable. As are the ones in SMTV, but it's for such a short period I don't care.

Perhaps it's the soft resolution that makes me not care. Or the short sticks.

@ChromaticDracula If you don't know how to use a computer, I guess go for it. My XP laptop from 2005 is just fine too. Put kubuntu on it because XP is too old.

However, the same person who would like a locked down environment generally wouldn't be the same person to buy something as this, as you would wait for Nintendo to resell you your old games.

The fact that you had to ask if this would work on mac is a sign of a problem.

You could always go to linux, but stick with mac.
