I have never played a Metroid game and I've never been interested in Metroid no matter how many times people recommend Super Metroid or Prime. But for some reason Other M appeals to me. It looks fun. I haven't played it yet because the mixed reviews but I'll certainly pick it up in the future and it will probably be my first Metroid game. At least then I won't have a preconception about what Samus should be like.
Great article! It makes me feel good that I grew up in the NES days. I got a NES in 1988 when I was 5 years old. I fondly recall blowing in the cartridges, never finishing a game, and somehow knowing the secrets of Mario 1 without having the internet or a Nintendo Power subscription.
I played the demo and I couldn't get into it. I liked Yoshi Touch and Go and I LOVED Kirby's Canvas Curse but there was something about Ivy that turned me off. I can't put my finger on it.
Rune Factory 2 is a big big improvement over RF1 (but it's not as good as Rune Factory Frontier) so congratulations to Europe for finally getting this game.
Harvest Moon has been the best farming game since 1996. I don't need to waste my time with My Farm and Farmville and We Farm and so on. HM got it right the first time.
I don't really care about voice actors (I always turn voices off if there is an option to do so) but this news is good because it shows that Natsume is putting more effort into their games. I would prefer fewer spelling errors and glitches to having decent voice actors though.
Dear Nintendo, Please make a Pokemon Football game with Pokemon that evolve when you trade between team. When it's done please mail it to my home and write my name in the credits. Also you should release games on the XBox360 and PS3 too because then you will sell even more games and make more money!!!!!1
I have the blue one and it nicely serves its function as a notebook. I'd never pay 500 points for it though, even with more pages and extra "features" such as... uh... removing the lines on the pages.
You can already change the lines on the blue notebook although I have yet to figure out how to unlock all the extra page styles.
This game is awesome. I'm playing it right now (mid-Fall year 1). Runeys are easily manageable if you put a few game days of effort into controling them. After their populations are stable, it takes hardly any time to keep your whole town prosperous. Every few days I spread around some grass runeys and forget about them for another few days.
The characters are fun and there are lots of little events and conversations and stuff to find. I'm always impressed by how deep the characters are. Cooking/forging etc is pretty much the same as Rune Factory 1 and 2.
I still haven't chosen who I will marry. I've narrowed it down to Cinnamon, Anette, Iris, Eunice, Melody and Mist... that's still a lot to choose from!
I don't think this is the best Mario Kart but it's still pretty fun. I loved Battle Mode back then and the feather is an awesome item for getting secrets.
Feather shortcuts are better than mushroom shortcuts.
I strongly disagree with this review. As someone who has played every Harvest Moon game (except HM DS) I actually choose Tree of Tranquility as my favourite. I really enjoyed the tutorial at the beginning. I wasn't thinking "C'MON GET TO THE ACTION ALREADY", I was enjoying staying at a neighbour's house and working for Craig.
The camera being fixed is only an issue for the first few days when you're learning the town layout. Your character has low stamina, which is true of all recent HM games, but there is a hot spring nearby.
I actually enjoyed the pacing of the main story and the characters are wonderful. I like how they gradually move in. The bachelors and bachelorettes are great. I had a difficult time choosing. Rival couples can get married and the quickly have a child. Their children grow up and have distinct personalities.
Farming gameplay is traditional and I have no complants. You can buy furniture and decorate your house however you like. There are lots of cooking recipes and it will be a challenge to complete them all.
I think any Harvest Moon fan should give this game a try. It's better than HM64, in my opinion, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I only got to the second dome in Opoona. The style and the vastness of the world was awesome but I hated the battle system. I may try to keep playing sometime but I don't know if I can get past the battle system.

Re: Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton Team Up on 3DS
This the best news ever. Day one purchase!
The Layton games take place in the 1950s or 1960s. The Ace Attorney games take place in 2015 or so.
Re: Review: Ivy the Kiwi? Mini (DSiWare)
I played the demo and I couldn't get into it. I liked Yoshi Touch and Go and I LOVED Kirby's Canvas Curse but there was something about Ivy that turned me off. I can't put my finger on it.
Re: Mew Returns to Pokemon in HeartGold and SoulSilver
I have a Mew that I received in a trade but it was probably cloned. Now I can get a Mew that I know for sure is legit.
Re: North America Cools Down with Club Nintendo Folding Fans
I ordered the Mario and Blooper fans. I'd rather something cool like this than something boring like a controller.
Re: Namco and Rising Star Team Up to Bring More Harvest Moons to Europe
Congrats Europe. Animal Parade is the best Harvest Moon.
Re: Japan Receives Red Wii in Honour of Mario's 25th
Like so many here, I wanted red when they showed the concept colours back before the Wii came out.
Re: Nintendo Release Schedule Outs Mario Party 2, Super Bonk and More
Mario Party 2 is the best one.
Re: Yes, You Can Transfer DSiWare to 3DS
This is great news, even with limitations. Having to repurchase one or two games won't be a big deal as long as most games are transferable.
Re: Netflix Now Available in Canada
FINALLY! I'm definitely signing up.
Re: Review: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS)
Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't wait.
Everyone needs to play Professor Layton.
Re: Rune Factory 2 Ripe and Ready for Europe in October
Rune Factory 2 is a big big improvement over RF1 (but it's not as good as Rune Factory Frontier) so congratulations to Europe for finally getting this game.
Re: New Ace Attorney Investigations Title Outed by Famitsu
Yay! I liked Investigations although it's not as good as the main series.
Re: Metroid Co-Creator: Next Nintendo Console Will "Leave Your Mouth Open"
Virtual Reality!
It will probably be in 3D to match the 3DS.
Re: Movemodo is Officially Open for Business!
I giggle whenever I see the Move controller because it looks just like "The Magic Wand". (google it)
Re: Review: Custom Robo Arena (DS)
I loved this game. It doesn't have the charm that the GameCube Custom Robo had but it had solid gameplay.
Re: Inchworm Animation Could Beat Flipnote at its Own Game
Flipnote is awesome and this looks good too!
I guess people will have to learn to tell stories without sound.
Re: Review: My Farm (DSiWare)
Harvest Moon has been the best farming game since 1996. I don't need to waste my time with My Farm and Farmville and We Farm and so on. HM got it right the first time.
Re: Review: And Yet It Moves (WiiWare)
This is a great game. I really encourage everyone to play it.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Developing Two Titles for uDraw GameTablet
They could release Mario Paint for the Virtual Console when the tablet comes out. I have a lot of fond memories of Mario Paint.
Re: Natsume Brings New Voice Actors to Lufia and Rune Factory Series
I don't really care about voice actors (I always turn voices off if there is an option to do so) but this news is good because it shows that Natsume is putting more effort into their games. I would prefer fewer spelling errors and glitches to having decent voice actors though.
Re: Review: Ivy the Kiwi? (Wii)
I think I'll get the Wii version and play it on the bigger screen.
Re: This Video Wants You to Know uDraw Studio is for Artists Too
I'm almost definitely going to get this.

Re: Harvest Moon 64 Will Not Sprout on Virtual Console
Damn this sucks. I have the N64 cart but I wanted to play it on the VC. I guess I could hook up the N64 though....

Re: NOA Show They Care with Pink and Blue Remotes for Valentines: Includes Early 2010 Lineup
I am itching to play Phoenix Wright again. I hope it's released on the early side of January.
Re: Review: Super Mario Kart (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
I don't think this is the best Mario Kart but it's still pretty fun. I loved Battle Mode back then and the feather is an awesome item for getting secrets.
Feather shortcuts are better than mushroom shortcuts.
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube)
I loved this game so so much. It was so much deeper than I expected.
The DS Chibi Robo game isn't half as charming.

Re: Review: Opoona (Wii)
I only got to the second dome in Opoona. The style and the vastness of the world was awesome but I hated the battle system. I may try to keep playing sometime but I don't know if I can get past the battle system.
