Re: Konami Supposedly Has Multiple Unannounced Projects In The Works

@KingMike Well today it makes more sense because games now are way more complex. Back then a team of a few people could put out a quality game. When you think about a one game per year limit back then, that is pretty extreme.

That's why Konami for example got around that hangup by releasing a game under their Konami name, and then another under their Ultragames label. Basically a shell company so they could put out more than one game. Note how Konami made all the NES Ninja Turtle games but they were all put out by Ultragames. They weren't the only ones doin it either, and quality didnt suffer.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Survive was a lot of fun, i put over 300 hours into that one. Still occasionally catch a round with randoms here and there today.

It got a lot of hate because of Kojima fanboyism and people just blindly raging at Konami because their hero got canned.

And the usual arguments people have against the game are those who never played it and just regurgitate random criticisms they heard some random say.

Re: Konami Supposedly Has Multiple Unannounced Projects In The Works

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I don't think you understand what contradictions are.

Also, "you're"

You can like someones work and understand that the artist themselves is flawed.

You can enjoy Ted Nugent's music while understanding the man himself is completely insane and wrong.

Only a person in a cult would be all or nothing on something. You call these contradictions. I call them sensible criticisms. I don't see why that's so hard to understand.

Metal Gear without Kojima will be just fine. As you mentioned, Revengence was done with very little involvement from him. It was an amazing game with a great OST. Most of the talent there came from his team, who to varying degrees, was able to reign in some of Kojima's batsh*t insanity. They were the talent that made it work. Kojima was the idea man.

Furthermore, people who resort to the same old cut and paste meme nonsense in replies such as your initial comment, and this "rent free" nonsense every other child spews endlessly, is silly. You are angry that I responded to a post in a comment section. That's your argument.

I think you need to actually figure out what the word contradiction means, and also understand, as I mentioned above, that you can appreciate the work of someone but you don't need to be full in cult mode and support absolutely everything about them, ignoring the flaws. That seems to be your main issue with me, that I'm not part of a cult.

Also, your copy/paste whatever you did didn't work either.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika

Nonsense. I played all the metal gear games. I even have the fancy Revengence lamp from the special edition

But for someone who claims they don't care about Kojima much, you sure distort the story on "how he was treated"

The guy wasted money and resources endlessly. He took funding from MGS 5 to fund his nonsense PT demo. Work at any company that allocates funds to you for one thing and then you use them for something else, and guess what will happen to you.

The guy was too busy wishing he was a Hollywood level director that he surrounds himself with D-list trash. Replaced Hayter with Sutherland for what? So he could barely speak? Oh, but the STAR POWER of Keifer Sutherland.

Kojima's excuses on that changed many times. He claimed he wanted someone older, he claimed he wanted someone with mo-cap experience. No, he wanted a famous face. Which is why the japanese voice for Snake went unchanged. Hayter called out his BS showing that he had done mo-cap before. Kojima went silent.

Then we have him paying god knows how much to have Stephanie Joostin to follow him around and blow him.

So Kojima absolutely deserved to be "treated the way he was" Wasting money, endless delays so he could model his own dumb face into the game, licensing a bunch of music for no real reason other than just to have something to find in game, etc. The guy is a money pit. His ego got too big.

This is reality. Welcome to it.

@CammyUnofficial I dunno what platform you intend to get it on, but on PC one version comes with the original NES game like i mentioned but again, it is sadly not translated as it was never localized for the states (blame nintendo for it never coming here due to their limits on how many games a company could release in a year)

But again, emulation exists and there are fan patches to play it with an english translation.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika

I mean you could continue to fellate the deranged Westaboo that wishes he was a Hollywood level director while he isn't. A lot of misguided people still do. He can continue to steal ideas from other media and just make them worse and certainly there are many people who will sing his praises, you included.

Re: Konami Supposedly Has Multiple Unannounced Projects In The Works

@CammyUnofficial

Maybe to you. But Yu-Gi-Oh is extremely popular with its fans (i am not one of them), their soccer (or Football, if you would) titles are loved by many as an alternative to EA's Fifa games. GetsuFumaDen was an incredible game which revived the franchise from the NES era. Maybe you should give that one a go.

The issue is, people whined and cried "kOnAmI dOeSn'T mAkE gAmEs!" often ignore when they put out games, or just say "NOT THE ONES I WANTED SO THEY DONT COUNT!"

I enjoyed Rogue Corps for what it was as well. Though it certainly could have been better but most of the complains I saw were people who clearly have a vague memory of the Contra series in general.

@Stocksy How is buying an NFT somehow different from going to the store and buying a Yoshi stuffed animal? Neither helps you in the game or gives you more content.

This really just sounds like people looking for a reason to be outraged.

You want to actually talk real outrage? What really hurts the gaming hobby?

How about the fact that we were always taught the myth of passing on savings to the customer should a product be made cheaper. Digital sales require no shipping, no packaging, etc. Yet ever since they have become a staple, the price was always full. No savings passed to the consumer.

Now that, is something worth being outraged over. And greedy companies taking it out on you.

Re: How DOOM On The SNES Pushed The Hardware To Its Technical Limits

SupremeAllah

I seem to recall back in the day, a huge comparison in EGM about all the different versions. Jaguar had the most accurate, I believe. While the 3DO version had to be shrunk down to the size of a postage stamp in order to get a decent framerate.

I do recall the SNES music being somewhat better than the PC version. But I recently went back to check it out and I might have just been a dumb kid Cause the framerate on the SNES was really bad. The music though was still good.

Ah, the victim complex. You are a shining example of an SJW. Keep fighting the good fight.

But hey, keep responding in tears because you are in no way upset about me calling you out on your nonsense. At least your utter failure to counter anything I've said just proves you had nothing but false outrage to go on from the start.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Browser-Based '3D' Legend of Zelda Demo

@PanurgeJr Saying that a japanese company are acting like japanese children isn't racist. You are a fool.

I love you play this game of " I could post the definition of racism, but i would be wasting my time blah blah"

Yea, you would be wasting your time, because it would prove me right. Keep grasping at straws, slick. This username was based on a character from HBO's OZ. Which, according to your flawed logic, is stealing.

Everytime you repond, desperately holding back your tears because as a raging SJW (you call it a pointless label, yet you fit the bill perfectly) seeing racism in everything and anything. It's sad. I'll say it a third time, go read the definition of the word. Put on those thick rimmed weezer glasses and stroke your unkempt beard as you read the definition, sipping your latte and avoiding gluten.

Seriously, you are crying about race in everything from a non racist comment, to my username. You are pathetic. Give it a rest and discuss the actual topic at hand.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Browser-Based '3D' Legend of Zelda Demo

SupremeAllah

@PanurgeJr No need to have a meltdown, buddy. Put down that vegan meal and sip your starbucks. Just take a breath. You are putting words in my mouth to fit your nonsense definition of "racism"

Seriously, look it up because you clearly don't know what it means. Labeling others a racist based on moronic reasoning sounds very much like a SJW to me. You fit the bill perfectly.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Browser-Based '3D' Legend of Zelda Demo

@Kalmaro So Black Mesa, the source engine remake of Half life, was stealing?

The team remaking Resident Evil 2 on the Unreal engine is stealing?

The Mugen fighting engine that uses characters from all fighting games is stealing?

Valve and Capcom certainly weren't concerned with theft or these projects cutting into their sales when they said they had no intention of stopping these projects.
