One thing to note is that Microsoft and Sony won't be making a new console anytime soon. If Nintendo comes up with something in the next year or two, they could easily suppass the power of the current offerings of Sony and Microsoft while having a cheaper price tag than either system currently has.
Personally, I miss the days when Nintendo was the hardware leader as far as power and technology goes.
When I saw the specs for the Xbox One and PS4, I laughed because each was basically the equivalent of a midrange PC from six years ago. Then I cried, because once again most PC games would be limited in scope due to the crap specs of the new consoles as they were for the previous generation.
Ultimately, I am happy with my WiiU right now, however if Nintendo can push out some new hardware that is more powerful than either offering from Sony or Microsoft, they are going to gain a lot of marketshare, as Sony and Microsoft aren't going to be replacing their current consoles before making back the losses they took in selling them. Nintendo could see years ahead of these two companies and enjoy stealing marketshare from them with a more powerful system by getting their hardware out years before Sony and Microsoft can.
One of my favorite MP game modes was in the Wii version, where you could buy those hotels. It gave it a sort of Monopoly feel. That was the one I played the most.
I don't get why everyone pounds off to FF7 so much. Is it because it was the first game to go "3d" ? Is it because it was the first game to have localized swearing? Because a main character died?
FF IV basically slaughtered its whole cast. FF6 had Kefka, who actually succeeded at his goal. Sephiroth didn't do anything, his clones did.
Each FF game prior to FF V has been remade at some point, a few of them multiple times. We are overdue for a FF6 remake, as it was literally the best FF game to date.
I'm still not sure if I'm going to get this. The visuals seem to have been sacrificed a lot in order to make the port. And I put over 100 something hours into the Wii version.
I do like the fact I can take it anywhere, but I might just pass on it. Now if they have a Xenoblade special edition 3DS, I will get that for sure.
I'd like a sequel to MGS: Revengence, but I'm a huge MG fan. That game was really fun though. I have it on PS3 and on PC.
Bayonetta 2 was good, though they did make it a lot easier to activate witch time in this than the original, which required more precision and had a shorter window of time to activate it. The only downside is the story of the second, which basically being a prequel without being a prequel, made the payoff not as good as the one in the first game.
I'd like to see another Wonderful 101 game as well, since it was highly underrated and got passed over by a lot of people due to it coming out near the Wii-U release when few people owned the system.
They should be putting a lot more effort into porting the Wii VC over to the WiiU VC. I'd rather play games like Secret of Mana on the tablet while I watch TV, than have to go into the Wii Console mode and use the Wii Controllers to play on the TV.
I understand, but when you get into buying Wii U games from the Eshop, you could by two or three games and max out your 32gb. It just isn't very efficient. My brother has the 8gb Wii U and got an external 1TB hard drive hook up. Obviously, he'll never run out of space.
I still have about 17 gigs free out of my 32, and the only Wii U games I have digital copies of are Wind Waker HD and New Mario Bros U.
As a PC enthusiast, that does not compute. I get what you're saying, but anyone who builds their own PC more than likely isn't buying 5400rpm HDs, and even the store bought models don't ship with them.
Well you can't blame Sony or Microsoft for HD issues and say Nintendo's won't have an issue, as they are all basically the same thing. Hard Drives. Nintendo adding extra storage space isn't going to make it less reliable. There is absolutely no reason to believe that.
That would be akin to saying X-Boxes fry themselves into red rings because of the AMD hardware, even though Nintendo and Sony both also use AMD technology.
Ultimately, there is no real reason for Nintendo to have skimped out on HD space. 8 gigs isn't enough, and honestly, I don't think my 30 gig is enough, either. I don't want to delete old stuff. I want it to always be playable. That's why I have 4TB on my PC. As I mentioned before, the cost of 8 gigs (you can't even buy an 8gig HD these days) is virtually nothing, and 30gigs is likely less than the 10 bucks I mentioned in the initial post. Hell, you could get a 32gig flash drive for less than 20 bucks these days, and they are faster than the standard HDs being used in any of the current consoles.
Though you had some terrible luck with your PS3. I have one of the first gen models, which has never given me any issues, and from what I've read, they are the best ones to own as far as reliability.
I suppose it depends on the level of completion you're going for. I beat it already, but there are still "Ultimate" level bosses I haven't defeated, and a few side quests I have yet to complete. I think my game has 130 hours logged into it.
Considering how cheap HDs are these days, I am still surprised that Nintendo didn't go with larger storage options.
Even the PS4 came with the ancient 5400rpm style HD, when the standard has been 7200rpms for well over a decade. Solid state is ideal but cost is a factor.
I have the 30gig Wind Waker Deluxe edition, but still, 30 gigs is like, 10 dollars worth of HD these days.
The fact this game mentions Earth sort of hammers home the point that the games aren't connected at all. This is without spoiling it for those who haven't finished the first game yet.
I own the three Wii games they are releasing. However I am tempted to download them just so I don't have to go through the extra step of going to the Wii menu on the Wii U console.
It is unlikely. You may have missed it, but in the first Xeno game when you find out the origins of the Bionis, Mechonis, and that other guy, you see they were conducting an experiment in space near Earth. The result of that experiment was...well, the universe was basically reset. Earth was no-more.
I don't see how these games can be tied together when there would have been no Earth for these people to come from in the Xenoblade Chronicles Universe.

I agree. That game needs to be re-done more than anything else.

Re: Fresh Bravely Second Details Highlight StreetPass and Base Features
She is in the new game, as the new leader of the place she's from. Agnes is as well.
And from the video teaser in Bravely Default, we would assume Tiz is as well.
That just leaves out poor Ringabel, who was basically a walking plot hole in the first game. Which is sad, because I really liked him.
Re: Fresh Bravely Second Details Highlight StreetPass and Base Features
I still don't get the love for FF7 when FF6 was the superior game that is more deserving of a remake.
On that note, I loved Bravely Default and look forward to the next title. I just hope I don't have to wait till the end of this year to play it.

I'd like to see Jet Force Gemini and Blast Corps, myself.
Re: Yusuke Hashimoto Outlines His Desire to Continue the Bayonetta Franchise
Play on harder difficulties. And there's an accessory you can buy to get more Halos, I believe.
Basically, higher/longer combos and higher difficulty = more Halos.
Re: Yusuke Hashimoto Outlines His Desire to Continue the Bayonetta Franchise
Bayonetta 3 with Rodin as a playable character! (for the campaign, not just a separate mode)

Re: Meet Playtonic, A Studio Of Ex-Rare Staff That Wants To Work With Nintendo
I want to play Perfect Dark again. And I don't feel like dusting off the N64 to do it either!
The Wii U could use a decent original shooter like that, though a 3D platformer with lots of secrets like BanjoKazooie was would be welcome.

There really is no excuse for it.
Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Sales Meet Capcom Expectations, Despite Overall Company Sales Being Down
They should just pitch the idea to Nintendo, that Nintendo should buy the company.
Capcom improves drastically, Nintendo reaps the benefits.

Join the Master Race, my friend. Nintendo consoles are the perfect compliment to a God PC.
Re: Video: Hyrule Warriors Majora's Mask Pack DLC - Now With 100% More Tingle!
@midnafanboy You must admit that the world would be a better place with Tingle not in it.
Especially when Skull Kid himself would have been the better character to add

They are both classy people. But then again, Melia was about to have her way with an unconscious Shulk. I can't see Dunban doing that
Re: More Details Emerge on Xenoblade Chronicles X and Its Non-Linear World
I look forward to this, as should any Wii U owner.
Though I am still saddened by the fact Melia will be alone forever

Or getting up to put the disk in. I'm lazy.
Re: Talking Point: Club Nintendo's Closure Is An Exciting Opportunity To Modernise Fan Rewards
Hopefully they put some good stuff up there for the remaining 1000+ coins I have. I already have half the stuff they put up every month.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Localisation Work is "Well Underway"
Agreed. As much as I would love a true sequel, I'd rather this game be it's own thing. Like Red Steel vs Red Steel 2.
The only sad part is that means poor Melia will be alone forever, AND IT ISN'T FAIR!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Localisation Work is "Well Underway"
I don't see why this wouldn't make a 2015 release. But if it doesn't, at least we'll have Bravely Second.

It was.

If you play it on Dolphin, it looks incredible. Getting the settings just right though is kind of a pain.
