I recently went on vacation with my girlfriend and brought my copy of the Mother 3 handbook, sadly my wet bathing suit was put in the same bag as my Mother 3 handbook, thus... severe water damage, i got real teary eyed when i got home ;n;
7/10 is right on the money. The game is fun and has plenty of collectibles, but the lasting appeal is awful I seriously see no reason for going back to an episode to play it again, but I guess thats the purpose of episodic games (witch im not too fond of)
so far its really fun! The dialogue is what makes the game though, there are plenty of hidden clickables and collectables its deffinetly a point and click adventure.
Of all the mario rpgs my favorite was Paper Mario: The Thousand year door! Paper mario n64 was quite fun but awfully simple, and super paper mario strayed away from alot of role playing elements. with the vc and gamecube backwards compatibility you can own the entire paper mario series! And if you want (and if it ever comes out) you can get the game that started it all smrpg
Ugh, i used the esrb site a few time myself! Although it isn't truly devastating that there sealing the game leaks, it's the fact that you have no idea whats coming next Thats gonna drive me crazy! Though it may make the element of surprise a bit better.
SMRPG has a very simple battle system, a non-epic storyline, and can be beaten in a day, But, It's a "fun" (ever consider that word anymore) and solid role playing game with the classic, "evil king takes princess and hero springs into action" Idea, staring Mario and other residents of the mushroom kingdom, and with some memorable music tracks and quirky characters, this game is a welcome addition to the vc and should even out the good and bad rpgs on the vc service.
This is an above average but not perfect rpg, but thanks to some ungrateful people people this has become a poor excuse for a good-news thread.
After this is released, it would be pointless for SNK to release the rest of the games on vc, sadly. Oh well, I think the highlights of this collection are already on vc
Thats it! I'm threw giving my hard money to Nintendo! Naw, who am I kidding, as long as they keep making fantastic games, systems, and other products, they can poke fun at this fanboy all they want!
@Bensei Yea! I was just thinking the same thing, we used to be informed about u.s. releases 1 to 2 days before monday arrived, though I can live without being informed earlier, it sure was convenient.
Ouch... get ready for a bunch of people from the states laughing their heads off... personally I feel too bad for you guys to even chuckle at this situation but you did get SOMETHING, a wiiware puzzle game similar to zuma. Super Smash Bros Brawl Narrator: "FAILURE!" enough said
@ Will Thinking about Nintendo's next console makes my head hurt, I cant even imagine anything more innovative than the wii! (of coarse i did said that about the N64) Perhaps a Virtual Boy 2?
Hey everyone needs to try to buy this the day it comes out nintendo will notice the success from this vc title that they will have to realease the original mother as an import game! And perhaps one day we will see mother 3!
IVE NEVER PLAYED THIS BUT HAVE HEARD SO MUCH OVER THE YEARS ABOUT HOW BIG OF A CULT CLASSIC IT IS AND I FINALLY GET TO PLAY A PORTION OF THE ONLY NINTENDO FRANCHISE IVE NEVER PLAYED!
Just checked out the tracks from the game and I must say its simply amazing, if thats the atmosphere i'll feel during gameplay... then its a must-download, and the illustrations for the game are very cool and original. All this for 500 points is a no-brainer!
If you prefer better visuals and sound then the N64 version is your choice, though I actually prefer the snes version because everything just has more charm that seems to overshadow the fact that its only a 16 bit system, go for the snes version.
Ah Harvest Moon, A game like this really keeps you on your toes, constantly aware of what time it is, witch animals need to be fed, preparing next seasons vegetables, phew! but I must say its very rewarding if you play your cards right. Basically, a great addictive game to add to your wii menu.
Awesome! Ive never been much into simulation games, but this is definitely worth a go! (It actually reminds me of the choa minigame from sonic mixed with environments from pikmin)
I doubt physical packaged video games will be a thing of the past, because we are limited to storage when it comes to downloaded games. But with real games it all depends on shelf room. And personally, I like to show of my collection of games. And p.s. I am 13 of those 10,000 downloads XD
Who doesn't like some good ole kirby! And is it just me, or is kirby becoming a handheld game series? (ex: gbc gba nintendods) His last console game was kirby's air ride and that was a remake. Will we ever see kirby on a console again?
This is all a new little history lesson for me! Being born in 1991 and growing up loving all things Nintendo, I gotta say this Master system is like a new console to me.
