What a ball of sunshine these people are! Lol! Any addiction has various causes. Humans are complex beings and you can't paint a black and white picture. Gaming addiction is not physical for sure, lol. Let's take a lonely and depressed person. Very prone to get addicted to anything that can fill the void.
@Daniel36
Nintendo presented the game during a direct. People were already afraid the next pokemon game will suffer, lol.
Whats there to experiment? It's not like this is a whole new genre they were working on. Seems to me they thought it will sell because its cute and from nintendo. And chances are it will, lol.
haha, what a garbage game. THB I had a feeling this one would be bottom tier when they announced it was eshop only. Why wouldn't they bring it out on a physical card? I mean its the pokemon creators, so there is some name to it.
A separate rating for ports in regard to performance in direct comparison to more powerful consoles wouldn't be a bad thing. I mean this solely from a technical point.
Witcher 3 has an overall rating of 9/10 or 90% on ps4/xbox. Are we getting the very same experience? No! Are we getting the very same game? Yes?
I think in regard to ports (and maybe generally) we should have a separate rating system. A rating for the game itself and a rating for performance only.
There are so many things in life that aren't mandatory. Doesn't make them good. Like child endangerment for example.
Look, I don't know about people complaining about having to pay for smr but I don't believe nintendo changed its monetization because of it. It was clearly planned this way. I
I say it again, it's a form of monetization that preys on the weak and vulnerable and somewhat tarnishes nintendo's image imo.
And as you said it's not mandatory, I didn't even try this game, what for?
Tbh you seem to be a little bit naive. Mario run had nothing to do with the monetization of games like feh or mario kart, despite it being mentioned somewhere.
Nintendo didn't invent the predatory gacha system but they have fully embraced it. They didn't have to follow suit but they did.
You have to know, gacha games prey on the weak and vulnerable. People who for whatever reason feel spending tons if money on a single game (which they actually never own) makes them happy.
Thats all there is to it. It's a topic as old as gacha games themselves.
The thing is, in regard to feh, a lot of people would buy orbs if they were reasonably priced, like 10% of the actual price. I would. But nintendo and other game companies arent out for occasional spenders, they are out for those who are willing to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a waifu or husbando.
I only buy digital if I absolutely have to, and then only when the price has dropped significantly. Should there ever be digital only I will stop buying new stuff. I dont even have time to play all the physical game I have already stockpiled.
Yo Kai definitely has its appeal - but Pokemon is just more popular and has a greater tradition with many adult fans. I played 1, got 2, and will buy 3 when its cheap. Yo kai 4 looks great
BS - workers in Russia are afraid to speak out against their superiors. You never know what kind of contacts this ass has and what kind of repercussions they may have to face. They should have fired him. shame on nintendo
agreed, it endangers real gaming. Companies realize they can make easier profit with a simple and repetitive game that is f2p on the outside and p2w on the inside. You can literally spend hundreds of not thousands of dollars and still not get the pixel character of your choice. and people will till praise cygames for its generosity. Furthermore it definitely facilitates gambling. These games are labelled as 13+. Of course, parents are responsible for their kids, but lets be real here. Gacha games are predatory and it saddens me that Nintendo has become part of it.
Let's be brutally honest here, if somebody is dumb enough to preorder a digital product they deserve to be punished. I understand pre-ordering a limited physical item but digital? Come on, its gonna be available 'forever'. Nintendo has always been somewhat on the thrifty/greedy side, though.
Nintendo has always been thrifty and greedy (just look at mynintendo rewards system and stuff). Its not like they couldnt have done better - they didnt want to. There is a difference between being a fan of nintendo games and nintendo as a business company - the latter is one of the worst companies out there in regard to consumer friendliness imo.
seems nowadays anyone can come up and claim something bad happened like 25 years ago. anyone ever thought these people could have been paid by someone who wants to ruin somebodys life? they should come forth immediately and not years later when there is no evidence to back it up. True or not, it will always put a stain on a persons reputation.
I you want the game and can afford it then buy it. If its only the former than do what you want. Games are expensive and what about those kids whose parents cant afford to buy them a new game every month? Nintendo is rich, they will not make any losses on games they would have never sold in the first place, does that make sense?

Or punish a game for (almost) no story at all/s.
