@EarthboundBenjy The multiplayer included different game modes like death matches etc., but the most substantial aspect was the free roam mode. It included an rpg style progression system with different player levels, unlockables, and quests/tasks. It was great to play with friends, as you could control different territories and defend them against rival players. Although, the multiplayer aspect of the free roam was actually optional; it could be enjoyed solo online or offline via system link. It made up the majority of the game's post campaign content, including dlc which is now absent without it. I've no clue why such a crucial feature was omitted.
Surprised to see GTA at number 4. I guess I'm not the only one having fun with it. It's been less than a month and it's already become one of my most played titles.
@rawzeku As far as I've seen, most of those people "defending" it just happen to enjoy it despite the issues. I'm fully on board with the criticism that Rockstar and this release deserve, but I'm still having fun playing it all the same. It's kind of a headache the amount of times people have told me to try and refund this when I'm just having a good time.
Not surprised by the review. There's no doubt many flaws that need to be patched ASAP. With that said, I've still been enjoying these games. Fortunately, I haven't encountered glitches during the many hours I've played so far but the framerate is atrocious. Only buy this if you know you'll like it. I'm loving it so far all things considered.
@Damo would be interested to hear your thoughts on this collection coming to Switch? Based on articles you've published previously, it'd be good to have your opinion.
@Collette Considering it's described as a "chilling thriller", hopefully it'll be more than a SIMP sim. Although I wouldn't be opposed to a SIMP sim if it took a satirical angle
Either way, let's hope this won't be more shovelware.
@JR150
As someone who mods occasionally, I can't think see the appeal myself. I think this is probably directed at folks with a more romanticized view of streaming/modding. View that said, it may be a entertaining Her Story esque game instead of a tedious recreation of what mods do.
@Thorthegreat12 Am I missing something here? Youngblood turned out great, even graphical blemishes weren't too bad. Released same day as other platforms as well, and Digital Foundry said it was solid overall. I'd be perfectly happy for Doom Eternal to run as well as that.
@Damo Really appreciate that. This has been a difficult time for everyone, the last thing we need is the comment section turning bad here on Nintendo Life.
@popey1980 Yeah, I don't see how they can justify that additional price tag considering they've kept the micro transactions.
@SouthpawGrammar You're aware that the article asked for your thoughts on the game, right? My thoughts on him are rather lukewarm, to put it nicely. However I don't see the need for comments like that.
Never really got this hate for digital media. Physical copies are nice and all, but how exactly does that warrant a demonisation of those who prioritize digital support? At least digital is cheaper, can be accessed almost anywhere via download, and not to mention is better for the environment.
Each their own, I guess.
Picked up Metro 2033 in the sale. Being a novice I decided to go in the deep end with 'ranger' mode and it's absolutely punishing, but I love it though.

@RobynAlecksys
Could you elaborate on what's bad about the game and R* titles? I'm not sure if I follow.
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th August (North America)
Going to cave and pick up Read Dead Redemption at an extortionate price. Giddy up, everybody!
Re: Poll: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2021? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
Picked GTA the trilogy cause truth be told it's the only 2021 Switch release I played XD
Re: Nintendo's Monthly Rewind Reminds Us Of November's Big Games And Updates
No mention of the GTA trilogy lol

Re: Review: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition - Three Classics In One Shocking Package
@PushMyGran1986 It's definitely a contrast to the 9/10 they gave GTA Chinatown Wars lol
Re: Review: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition - Three Classics In One Shocking Package
Just to add, for anyone put off by these remasters, it's best to avoid all platforms right now as they seem to be suffering from the same issues.

Strange, the Euro eshop has it listed as 13gb.

Re: Has Nintendo's eShop Quality Control Hit A New Low With "Inappropriate" Stealth Game?
This is disappointing. I thought we'd finally reached a new low with this game that could perhaps put the Wii U classic Meme Run to shame.

Didn't play his previous game on Switch, but heard it was good. Might look at reviews on this one. Not really my thing though.
Let's keep the comments nice folks!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 2nd)
Tempted to start Metro Last Light after having completed 2033 on Ranger Mode. Don't know if I can take that type of stress again though 😅
