Only game I've played on my Switch 2 is Echoes of Wisdom, which is in the first video that's embedded. I haven't noticed any issues and what is shown in the tweet seems pretty wild. My game has been buttery smooth and I haven't noticed any blurring.
So, this guy posts that he might not be able to continue because of bad reviews, then he comes out and blames the media for his awful communication? This sounds like an annoyingly familiar formula.
I have to admit, I am pretty interested in No Rest for the Wicked, but this guy is making me not want to play the game. I don't want to give my money to developers who are manipulative jerks who don't take any responsibility for their own actions.
@Dazman your whole comment reads like you don’t read anything. Rather you develop preconceived notions and then post comments like this.
There is an issue in games journalism and the only thing it is is suits buying up properties and then trying to come up with quarterly earnings increases infinitely and learning that such a thing is impossible.
If Jason says it then I believe it. He doesn't just throw information around. He actually has sources.
I have been patiently waiting for a long time. Tactics Ogre Reborn was amazing and I spent 210 hours in it. Final Fantasy Tactics was my first ever Tactical RPG way back on PS1 and I would buy a remaster/remake in an instant. I hope they do the same art style as TO:R because I really liked the aesthetic of it. Took me back to playing on PS1.
Edit: Maybe an announcement during Nintendo Direct? Just a thought, but maybe?
Well said. The funny thing is I bought more Square Enix games in the last 2 years than I have in the last 20. All those HD-2D games felt like they were made for me. The FF7 remake games, the new FF16, and my most favorite: Tactics Ogre Reborn. I bought all of these games and every HD-2D release. Naturally when they got the most of my cash, they decide they aren’t making enough. I don’t know what people want, but old style turn based RPGs are what square used to do best. I missed that and was thrilled to have it back. Hope we don’t lose it.
Also I have no idea what Xbox is doing, but it isn’t good.
It's bums me out knowing the Konami I grew up with and what they are now. I will grab these when they hit a sale, but not before. I want these, but I am in no rush.
I just started playing this briefly last night, but I am picking this game over other big titles right now. Just feels like the game I want to play and I've had my eye on this game since it was announced. Glad to see the developers are being recognized for their efforts.
My curiosity got the better of me and I found this place way early (after one dungeon). Beat the game a short while ago. Had no clue you could clear the clouds away.
Looks good. Really hope it turns out to be good. I remember stumbling upon flashback as a kid and playing through it with a friend and it was so much fun. Quality memories with it on SNES back in the day.
Great read. Can't remember the name of the shrine I did last night, but you had to get a large ball across some rails. I was completely confused and finally just said to myself: "well, I have an idea. Not sure if it's right, but it's my idea." It worked and I had the thought that this is a great flexibility of the game. A sort of "there are no wrong answers" experience I had. It made me feel clever.

Investors are a plague.
Re: Opinion: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's Best Gameplay Feature Is Straight Out Of Mario's Playbook
A lot of people compared Sea of Stars to Chrono Trigger. I told everyone it was more like Mario RPG than anything for the same reasons.
Re: '90s Anime 'Samurai Pizza Cats' Is Getting The Action RPG Treatment Next Year
Well I'm sold. I remember watching this in the mornings before school.

Awful take, IMO.

I love everything about this.
Re: Thunderful Announces Its Second Restructuring Program In One Year
Reduction of internally developed projects is terrible news. Some of their internally developed games are the most fun I've had.
Re: Feature: "We Tested 60fps In Pre-Production, But The Smoothness Felt Unnatural"
This is the same as the "60fps isn't cinematic" argument. It just sounds silly.

I love the Steamworld franchise.
Re: Does Astro Bot's Super Mario 'Inspiration' Cross A Line? Fans Seem Divided
This seems like a silly thing to even have on your radar. No one cares.

This looks awesome to me!

Re: Nintendo Indie World & Partner Direct Announced For Tomorrow, August 27th 2024
I will give my boilerplate: Final Fantasy Tactics please!
Even if that isn't there, I am excited to see what they announce.

I don’t get how people still act this way. Good on this developer for not being afraid.

Re: Hands On: Strategy Fan? You Need To Keep An Eye On Vanillaware's Stunning 'Unicorn Overlord'
Really excited for this one. It reminds me of Ogre Battle 64 in a lot of ways.
Incidentally, I'd like for them to bring an updated Ogre Battle 64 to current systems.
And where is Final Fantasy Tactics? I know it was just a rumor, but man I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

I’ve gotten every HD2D game so far. Octopath 1 just blew me away with the visuals and I’ve never played DQ3, so count me in.

Last time I checked they hadn't yet implemented this policy. Why not just can it altogether instead of making some empty promise?
Oh, right. Greedy and selfish CEOs.
