Nintendo might never put a second circle pad on the 3DS. Nintendo doesn't want people to have an "obsolete" 3DS, at least not yet. I'm pretty sure they have never added any buttons/pads to any handheld revision.

Love him, but he's bluffing. Companies are always "developing or researching the next gen" or whatever you want to call it. Of course he wouldn't say that they're making a revision. People would just wait on that, while the current 3DS' collect dust on shelves. They want to build momentum with the current 3DS, not stunt it. I expect some kind of revision by the end of 2013/spring of 2014.

why? seriously why? If Nintendo wants to win the "core" gamers back, I don't see how this will help at all. Friend codes are very annoying. But whatever, we'll see how this ends up.

Just wait until we get the 3D Mario! EAD Tokyo (the Super Mario Galaxy team) and Retro Studios are known for their graphical prowess. Just look at Super Mario Galaxy on Wii or Metroid Prime on Gamecube. Their games are going to look gorgeous on Wii U. But so far Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, and NSMBU for me, graphically.

The 3DS is such a beast in Japan.
