Haven't bought anything for Switch since Mario and there isn't much on the horizon that appeals, maybe octopath. 3rd party stuff is more expensive and often lacking features and needing extra storage. I'm just hanging on for Metroid at this point.
If a few of the indie titles were £9.99 for Switch I'd buy without a second thought, but putting them at £12.46 or whatever is just enough to rein in on the impulse buys.
There's certainly a few titles here that I missed for the PS4 and will keep an eye out for when they release for Switch. Unfortunately they'll probably be priced at double what they were for the PS4 so I'll still not bother.
"Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Team regarding My Nintendo.

@rjejr In a similar situation to yourself with points expiring before there are any Switch relevant offers available. I did email Nintendo to ask when we might get some offers to spend our coins on and whether they might freeze expiration until then. The response was not very helpful...
@admwllms same here. Only knew of one friend with a megadrive, rest of us had SNES'. There were plenty of Nintendo magazines, not just an official one, so there must've been a few of us with good taste.
@YANDMAN suppose it depends on how much you use it, but next day delivery, access to film, TV and music and a twitch prime sub isn't bad value for £7. P&P is the new stealth tax on most websites.
I like the 'neo retro' phrase, makes a lot of sense and if this plays anything like uridium did (hopefully easier) I'll be taking a look. Any chance of a neo retro update to Turrican? Loved that game!
@Hordak I've got a Philips TV and that plays nice with the Switch but not the PS4 Pro. I think the problem is all manufacturers have their own version which don't always work well with each other, presumably to encourage you to stick with only one brand. I love the "one power button to rule them all" idea, just never got it to work how I'd like. If TV settings allowed you to apply it to selected inputs rather than all or none, that'd be good!
@Zach777 HDMI CEC would be really good if it worked as it should. Have disabled it for both my PS4 & Switch, only have my Amp set to turn on when I turn on TV.
@ThomasBW84 So not entirely pointless then! 😁 I do find it irritating that all my ps4 games are installed but I still have to change disc to play them (lazy I know) and have moved more to digital purchases when the price is right. I can't remember getting so touchy about swapping out carts when I played on SNES, but then I was sat right in front of TV and installed games weren't a thing. That 2m walk takes time and effort.
Axiom Verge was a bit of a disappointment for me personally and wouldn't justify a second purchase, it's taken them an age to get it on vita, so perhaps not just a problem with Nintendo?
Looking forward to more of The Fall, enjoyed first episode a great deal.
A slow drip feed of content is going to harm the Switch's momentum, a steady flow of good, reasonably priced ports and Indies keeps me Switching on, otherwise I'm never going to try and find new games to buy and stick with Zelda and (hopefully) MK8.
Plus, announcing a free trial of their subscription ahead of its launch and then not offering content in the trial seems an odd choice. And just get Secret of Mana on the UK store this instant! Only game my sister holds bragging rights for completing whilst I chucked off at the end.
@Danpal65 I'd buy Demon Souls and Dark Souls remastered, my laptop can't run the latter and I think it was an awful port anyway? Personally, Nintendo have become all about the 1st party titles, I didn't own a Wii U so not bothered about titles coming from there.
That's a couple of games now that I've been willing to buy then seen price on the eShop and had a change of heart. High prices and lack of content are souring an otherwise positive first couple of months with a Switch.

Is the update for Pro controllers as well as the joy cons?

Re: Editorial: The Switch eShop Library is Starting to Look Like the Real Deal
@Ralek85 Totally agree on the pricing. Cave Story+ for £20 or £25?
Whomever comes up with pricing needs to be spoken to firmly.

For once I'm glad to having no friends, all these extra controllers aren't cheap.

Re: Feature: Hyper Sentinel, the Nintendo Switch and Why 'Neo Retro' Matters
@HueyGames No, just a pleb with the same name! Always loved starting Starquake (I think it was called) and seeing my name though...
Re: Feature: Hyper Sentinel, the Nintendo Switch and Why 'Neo Retro' Matters
@HueyGames I think I had a lot more patience as a youth! Thanks for the reply and good luck with the games release.

Sorry, didn't see the name on stickers. Always preferred the UK/Jap design over the USA brick, but did like the purple.
@NEStalgia That is the SNES?
