@ejamer: it means on the off chance that you point to either side of the sensor bar that it doesn't stop dead or spin wildly. It's a nice option but far from necessary.
Here's a Gametrailers video I stumbled upon where they say they can't use Rare's designs and also talk a tiny bit about the benefits of the Wiimote scheme.
@JamieO: I think Rare does indeed own the games design which is why they can't perfectly replicate the levels and I really wouldn't count on it following the original too closely.
One of the producers did mention that they would feature altered versions of the original maps though which is good and whilst it does seem to add its own set pieces it looks like it's trying to maintain that James Bond feel and something of a modernised Goldeneye feel(which may upset some people).
@labrat7: Dragon Quest was on the list of franchises slated for the 3DS and after the massive success on the DS they're definitely going to make 3DS DQs.
This year the Dragon Quest brand has sold over 2.5 million copies on the DS in Japan.
@Corbie: I don't know what happened with that game, apparently it was supposed to be at E3 this year but one of the Wiis bricked it so they had to use the Animales de la Muerte for TCon 2 or ToL.
@ejamer: Some people overhype The Conduit and it ended up an okay game but not great. I don't think ToL was that hyped after changing from Gladiator AD which is why it went budget priced(I think).
@brandonbwii: Looks like it but if it's true that Nintendo dictates price like they say then Nintendo is fine with them doing so... which is pretty cool.
@Adam: I haven't had any issues with the camera but I suppose when it gets hectic it can be troublesome. So far though when you need to move the camera you can just stop to do it.
I also haven't experienced any bugs with the EU version. I might just be lucky though.
@skywake: It's the same guy that said that that's saying they should work together now.(EDIT: It appears I was wrong actually, it was Hirai who said that).
Oh btw, I was being sarcastic above. My point is that Sony would benefit from Nintendo promoting 3D in general but Nintendo wouldn't. Sony's just trying to get Nintendo to sell their stuff for them.
Yer Corbie I don't get the complaints about the DLC either, apart from the fact that they don't dare try to pull it on PSN and XBL, as most of it is purely optional, cosmetic changes and even without DLC their games have been some of the most content packed, and longest, games on Wiiware.
I think one FC per account(based on Miis) and Nintendo Channel and shop merged and part of the main OS, instantly accessible and just general improvement in usability but nothing extreme.
@SoulSilver That doesn't mean they go with the lowest thing though, look at the Gamecube for example and if they can afford the higher ones then they'll go with that. The 2008 chip should be mass production and relatively cheap and Nintendo using it would help greatly as well and considering the potential userbase for the 3DS and how valuable that would be to DMP Nintendo are likely getting really good deals on whatever GPU they go for.
Actually it seems what I was saying was wrong, we're not wuite sure what level the GPU is at and these details are for the initial 2006 model, in 2008 they were advertising 40 million polygons per second so it's entirely possible the 3DS is more powerful than initially thought.

Guys they seemed to use the Wiimote control scheme for the Single player footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_yhlHOzp78
They don't show off customisation but it seems like it works pretty well.
Re: Review: Arc Rise Fantasia (Wii)
Will have to do until The Last Story and Xenoblade(it's coming over damnit!) I suppose.
Re: Trademarks Suggest Dragon Quest VI is Europe-bound
All three were confirmed at the same time really but I guess they could have cancelled it.
Hope we get Monsters: Joker and Battle Road Victory.
Re: EA Tagging DSiWare with Need For Speed: Nitro-X
@Roopa132: Doesn't Uno have online multiplayer? If Gameloft can do it, so can EA... not that they will.
Re: EA Tagging DSiWare with Need For Speed: Nitro-X
Did anyone buy the DS version?
I got the Wii version when it hit bargain bins...
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd July (Europe)
New Pop Island1 Woohoo!
Re: Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light World Map Trailer
Game has an awesome style.
Re: First Impressions: Heavy Fire: Special Operations
Can you dual wield like HoTD: Overkill?

Re: Review: Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS)
Nice, can't wait for this game and Corbie is usually right on the mark with these things.
Can't wait to see DQX and the 3DS Dragon Quest!
Re: 3DS Anti-Piracy Measures are Too Sophisticated for Human Brain
More like they don't want THQ blabbing about how it works to give pirates and hackers a heads up.
Re: The Last Story Gets Incredible First Trailer
Love the wowza tag and yes the game looks bloody amazing.
Re: Bplus Blowing Up 3DS with Vector Tank 3D+
Just noticed that on the press release it specifically says 3DS retail. Interesting.
Re: Bplus Blowing Up 3DS with Vector Tank 3D+
Looks funky, might give it a go. Wonder if it is for the 3DSware.
Re: Hey Square Enix, Let Obsidian Develop a Chrono Trigger Sequel
Why you're at it Square Enix get Kawazu to direct FFXV!...that'll never happen.
Re: Download Versions of Ivy the Kiwi? Rated by ESRB
I'll get one of the mini versions.

Re: Review: Tournament of Legends (Wii)
Ahh, how much damage do they do?
Which is your favourite character?
Re: Review: Tournament of Legends (Wii)
Well I'll be getting it for £17(or around that) and I'm just expecting a time waster.
How well do the specials work, are they spammable or well balanced?
Re: Review: Tournament of Legends (Wii)
Nice! Thanks for the review Corbinator!
Still got this ordered because I want to try it out! Eurogamer said the graphics were bad so it's very interesting that you thought they were good.

Re: Enter the Steamy World of Tower Defence
Wow, this looks pretty damn cool. I like the visual style, even if there isn't much variety by the looks of it.
Wonder why there's so many tower defense games but no traditional SRPGs on the download services(apart from DQ Wars which is a bit more like chess)
Re: Get More Cutesy DSiWare Racing with Pop Island: Paperfield
NICE! Will get!
I love Pop Island!

Re: Sony: Please Be Nice to 3D Glasses, Nintendo
Yes, they should work together for the good of the people. Now lets see how that benefits each company:
Sony: More people buy their cameras, TVs, console, movies and eventually their 3D handheld. Oh not to mention those 3D glasses that cost $150 a pop.
Nintendo: Umm.... the 3DS might be considered a little bit cooler?
Re: Kid Icarus: Uprising to Show Other Control Schemes How it's Done
Sakurai's referring to specific inputs instead of having to constantly swipe to move the camera a more direct, controlled swipe will move the camera.
It's talking about how the game actually controls, not what controls it uses.

Re: Review: The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts (WiiWare)
You don't NEED the DLC you know...?

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st June 2010 (North America)
Dragon Quest Wars is only 500 points.
They do like those premium prices though and I'm sure both of those games have DLC too.

Re: 3DS Powered by Pica200 GPU
Polygons and stuff is low than Gamecube but it has powerful shader technology that are closer to the PS3 and 360.
Re: E3 2010: First Impressions: Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light
and the soundtrack is fantastic from what I've heard of it!
Re: E3 2010: First Impressions: Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light
I'm sure I saw somewhere that October 8th was the EU release date but I might be wrong.
Can't wait anyway.
Re: E3 2010: 3DS Could be Region-Locked
I don't import but I say no to region locking!
Re: Rumour: Retro Bringing Back Donkey Kong
Tuesday will be interesting indeed.

Re: DSiWare Gets a Little More Shoot 'em Up with Cosmos X2
Wow, this is their second game by the looks of it. Cool.
Re: Jett Rocket Comes into Land Soon for 1000 Points
@Prosody:Oh I know but it's a shame that big publishers get all the attention when they put in the least effort.
Re: Jett Rocket Comes into Land Soon for 1000 Points
Wow.... can't wait now.
Nintendo should show this at E3, it's got more effort put into than the crap the big publishers are trying to con us with.
Re: Review: Dementium II (DS)
I deffo want to pick this up if I have the monies.
Re: Rumour: 3DS Could Rival PS3 and 360 in Power Stakes
I'd say unlikely unless they want it to have Gamecube level graphics and that means with 3D it needs to be more powerful.
Re: Review: Hero of Sparta (DSiWare)
So it seems the only worthwhile Gameloft games are the Racers?
Although Castle of Magic was okay... for a fiver.
I was tempted to get Ferrari GT today but I'm holding out for Drift Street International and enjoying AiRace instead.
Re: Rare Confirms It is Not Working on Activision's Rumoured GoldenEye Game
According to Eurogamer Eurocom(Dead Space: Extraction) is making a Wii version and N-space(Geist, COD DS) is making a DS version.
Goldeneye for Wii was spotted on a Eurocom dev's CV and they have made a 007 game and they also house quite a few ex-Rare employees.
