Re: Review: Cubic Ninja (3DS)

I got the game today(a day early woo) and I'm actually really enjoying it. I've only done the first two world(or whatever you wanna call them) and the only annoying part was the first boss.

I got it for £25 and I think it's definitely worth that much but I wouldn't pay the £40 some shops are asking for(I've not paid that much for any 3DS games yet!)

Re: Talking Point: Where Nintendo Went Wrong with the DSi Shop

Oregano

@3 Have they talked to you about any promotional materials for your DSiware games? They mentioned trailers for DSiware being on the eShop.

Also the shop should be quicker simply due to the fact it doesn't have to connect to the internet every time you click on it, the 3DS will already be connected.

Re: Review: Calculator (DSiWare)

Oregano

In my experience calculators like this one are called scientific calculators and you called them graphics calculators if they did graphs and stuff. I own one of each but it's probably just semantics.

Also for 200 points I might get this.... could come in handy(I still have the mario calculator on my DSi)... I wouldn't mind a graphics version for the eShop either!

Re: Interviews: High Voltage Software - Conduit 2

Tournament of Legends should have been a 3DS game. The way the game works would really work in 3D but they could still keep the arcs in 2D mode. Plus in a more cynical approach they could have got away with the lack of content early in the 3DS' life.

Re: Crush 3D to Flatten Your 3DS

@9: Was it confirmed as retail? I hadn't seen any PR which I thought was suspicious. It's going to be a hard sell if it's the exact same game and for a higher price.

Re: Crush 3D to Flatten Your 3DS

The game has been rated, talked about but not properly announced for release right? What are the odds it's an eShop game and how big(filesize) was the original.

Maybe I'm crazy though.

Re: Review: Samurai Warriors: Chronicles (3DS)

Oregano

My first Musou game but I enjoy it. I like that there's a low barrier of entry(simple combos) but that you can go more in depth if you want. I also really like that the missions are not compulsory because I tend to just enjoy them and not feel too much pressure.

The best moments are just rushing at someone on horseback taking out soldiers on the way, jumping off and whacking them with a musou attacks and being all like 'Whatchu gonna do?'

I'd also like the point that the battles are actually years apart and switching allegiances wasn't unusual. Of course you'd be unlikely to have directly pwned your soon to be allies in real life.

Re: Nintendo Clarifies Stance on Garage Developers

Oregano

I think people are completely missing the obvious reason for their stance. Accountability.

Making development kits readily available to the public increases the threat of the system being hacked which is why generally they require you to be a registered business with a registered office. There are some rare exceptions such as 2D Boy(who Nintendo were involved with) and Team Meat(who Nintendo originally approached for Aether).

Their line about concern over software quality is nothing but PR fluff.

Re: Review: Asphalt 3D (3DS)

@Corbs I would have loved a content packed, online, highly polished retail Asphalt as well.

You know I wonder if they'll release Asphalt games on the eShop.

Re: Talking Point: 3DS Launch Line-Up Lacks Fresh Ideas

Oregano

I just want to point out that you have Ghost Recon pictured and a caption mentioning it getting tactical... surely that's a new idea even if it's an old franchise?

In the same way Samurai Warriors Chronicles adds the dual screen, character changing and the create a character stuff. It adds new stuff to an existing formula and that's not always a bad thing.
