I will never buy this thing at 300$... No matter what features it has, especially with that 3-8 hour battery life...

To be honest this doesn't make much sense... A lot of people consider the DSi XL a DOWNGRADE from the DSi because it's way too big and bulky.

Your all forgetting that Nintendo may not make any remodels (God forbid). But it is true, Nintendo honestly should remodel the 3DS every 1 or 2 years to keep with the times, especially with that battery life.

I also realized that I could just buy a better battery...

syd- PSP's average battery life is at most 6 hours... Oh wait a second.. Okay okay I am still buying. But still this might severely affect my decision though.

No really the ABSOLUTE BIGGEST thing to worry about in a handheld is battery life and Nintendo went the way and ruined their own handheld by putting in a crappy battery.

Hyper- The DSi's battery life is 14 hours on a single charge.

Okay I am DEFINITELY not buying this crap until it jumps up to atleast 12 hours. Seriously Nintendo WTH were you thinking? Pricing this at 250$ and only putting in 5 hours of battery life? HP3- Dude that had 20 mb to work with. Do you know how much that is? Did you know that Super Mario 64 is only 7 mb?

Stop saying the 3D will take up space. 3D doesn't take up space, it takes up PROCESSING POWER.

The single player is somewhat similar but the multiplayer is COMPLETELY revamped. It actually feels like a true FPS online shooter. Such amazing online play justifies the buy itself. The single player is different too... Really, it just has a different feel in comparison to all the others... The maps are bigger and sniper rifles are actually really fun to use. But I have only played it for ONE DAY. Mostly because my suckish DSi had some kind of stroke.

I play PC and DS FPS. The DS's controls are far better. Wii's controls are undoubtedly the best of all time though.

Wth? Why didn't this get ATLEAST a 9?

Wrong. Europeans do not pay more than the US, they pay MUCH less. If the USA gets it at 250$ then Europeans will get it at a much cheaper price because their money is worth more.

Looks like the japenese consumer is getting smarter in terms of money making decisions... Nintendo better lower it to 250$... But if it's 250$ in Japan then it would be 200$ here... Wouldn't that be a bit too low?

If it comes with the game then I will be happy, if not, i won't. Most will be too lazy to go out and buy it.

The ipod isn't taking any chunk of the DS's market.Only an idiot buys an ipod for games. Especially with it's 2 hour battery life while playing the little 2D flash games.

Or they could take as much time as they want with the Wii 2 and release a system to hold it down for a while, kind of like what they did with the DSi to hold the DS down for the 3DS's release.

Everyone has a Wii now. Their platform buisness will be in trouble if they don't enhance the online play, and encourage more mature developers to start making games for the system, so the Wii can FINALLY get an audience that is actually really serious about gaming. I really regret getting my Wii. What they should do is not rush the next Wii but definitely don't take too long, or else their platform industry will go down in tatters for a while.

Redbox is overrated. It offers too little of a selection to actually have a chance against BlockBluster, PSN, the upcoming 3DS movie thing, and DEFINITELY not Netflix.

theblackdragon- The DS in Japan was over 200$ in american money. The DSi in Japa was also over 200$. They ALWAYS get slashed because they know that people in the UK and America are not stupid.

I think it's a great idea. Just put spot pass for free users and 3G for subscription users.

@theblackdragon You don't understand. I am talking about how people want the 3DS to have small games that you are able to play on the go, kind of like the DS did in some of it's games.

Driver isn't a GTA clone... It's a driving game, yeah the other GOOD Driver games like Driver 2, Driver 3, and Driver 76, and etc were all gta clones, but of course this will suck just like the console versions because it's just another generic straight-forward driving-only game

Okay guys- Stop saying how much you hope the 3DS doesn't have a console feel to it, this is next gen handheld, NOT a GBA... It's impossible to have that "handheld feel" to it anymore, that was last gen with the DS.

THis thing should have one price drop- in maybe 2 or 3 years into it's lifetime to maybe 250$.

Online play is essential for a decent fps game. No one likes crappy boring and lonely fps anymore, they almost all suck in today's standards, online makes everything more fun and challenging.
