If any of you actually had a Wii AND PS3 then you would actually see the difference between last and current gen. My Wii has been completely dusty ever since I got my PS3.

I'm sorry guys but aren't you tired of being a gen behind in EACH console release? Doesn't that bug you JUST A LITTLE? I mean seriously the Wii couldn't even run the most simplistic physics engines... Do you know how pathetic that is? If Nintendo flops this gen with the Wii U and makes it barely a step up from last gen then they have completely lost me as a fan...

Don't understand the reason why they didn't just add it as a firmware update instead of a separate app...

And please do not try to argue that i'm wrong, why? I have both a PS3 and Wii. Got my Wii in 2007 and PS3 this year. I have the best of both, and the PS3's experience is much better. Don't get me wrong I am still a Nintendo fan but even I admit that the Wii is a complete failure in terms of delivering decent titles

Oh and btw hardcore means the game is built for someone who enjoys a challenge or it may take a lot of skill to master. Guys, i'm sorry to say but cooking mama does not take skill to master _.

THere is no "Well gameplay matters more than all of that" BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT SEPERATES CURRENT GEN GAMEPLAY FROM LAST GEN. I enjoy playing my PS2 as much as I enjoy playing my Wii, and that's just pathetic

PS3 games have destructable environments, physics. great graphics, great controls, no overused gimmicks, and A LOT less shovelware. Notice that most great games like GTA and Dante's Inferno are put on the PS3 and 360 and not the Wii... THIS IS A PROBLEM. It's the GAMES not controls.

Wrong. Hardcore gamers didn't accept the Wii because IT HAS NO GREAT GAMES. Yeah sure it has plenty of good games but just one of the PS3/360's greatest games could easily wipe out more than 5 of the Wii's "good" games. I have a Wii and PS3 and as soon as I got my PS3 I put my Wii in the closet to collect dust. PS3 games have ragdoll physics, decent graphics, realism, and overall are just great. Wii games don't have any of that because of lack of CPU power.

I mean sure people want Kid Icarus, but wth would rather have it over SMB? When they finish Kid Icarus their top priority should be Super Smash Bros, because thats what fans want.

Funny that barely anyone cares about Kid Icarus compared to Super Smash Bros.

Swiket- Actually Nintendo DOES care, because if i'm not a fan they lose my money for both their handhelds AND consoles. And sales has nothing to do with success. The Wii alone has been contributed for almost half of Nintendo fans feeling the need to buy a PS3/360. Mario and Zelda is NOT the only thing Nintendo fans need, they need decent hardware to play it on and good games other than first party titles. Wii didn't offer at all.

Okay so next gen we can already see microsoft and sony getting games that are free to play similar to how the PC has free to play games... While Nintendo will be sitting there with their 300$ system with 60$ games not delivering as good of an experience.. Wth.. If the Wii U is as much of a FAILURE as the Wii is then I may quit being a fan of Nintendo.

Guys no one is talking about graphics here. let's compare the PS2 to the PS3. The only difference is definitely not graphics, but gameplay! Physics in PS3 games are all beautiful and very realistic, not possible on the PS2. Okay just imagine this: The Wii U will be running great games like GTA 5 and COD, while the 720 and PS4 will be running the same thing except in GTA 5 and etc ALL objects and the environment is fully destructible with the most advanced physics engines to date a long with graphics as a small add on to that.

Really really disappointed in terms of hardware. Comparable to the 360? Does Nintendo NOT understand that this is next gen?

And 250$ IS NOT a lot guys. You spend that much on your smartphones wth not a 3DS?

The Japanese have no taste in games. For goodness sakes one of their favorites is Final Fantasy, stop relying on them in game sales.

For those who for some reason don't know wth Saints Row is- It's the main competitor for GTA, and in my opinion much much better because it's not was realistic and there is so much more to do.

HECK YES I AM DISAPPOINTED. Those weren't even working on it? How pathetic! I've played Saints Row 2 and unlike you guys, I know how terrific it is... Too bad it was made by a unorganized developer.

Blockbuster has a much wider variety. But to be honest I would rather just download a demo, although I fully support blockbuster.

Umm guys aren't the majority of FPS games generic? Does a game REALLY have to be doing something completely new just to be good? NO. Halo proved it. Call Of Duty Proved it. Saints Row proved it. And SO much more.

If Nintendo produces another crappy underpowered console like this gen then I am going to have to look to sony for my home consoles... I don't know about you guys but power DOES count. That is what makes it able to process the great gameplay mechanics like ragdoll... While next gen Sony and Micrsoft are pulling something even better off like metal bending physics while Nintendo is just catching up to this gen then I am leaving Nintendo.

JesusSaves- Wrong- The 3DS has increased processing power, and IS NOT A DS. It's a 3DS! AS IN IT IS THE NEXT GENERATION. For goodness sakes the 3DS is out and the information is all there wth do people still not know this!? The 3DS is able to download demos, download add-ons, has better graphics, more memory stored on the game carts, is able to play video, has EShop, and SO SO MUCH MORE.

Most are used to 2D screens and I am pretty sure when decent LED lit screens came out, the same complaint was said. Idiots just take time and get used to it.

The 3DS should have had a larger internal memory. I would suggest 15 gb would be nice.

The DS versions REALLY wasn't that bad at all..

HOW IS THIS IN QUESTION? Seriously wth is wrong with Nintendo right now? WHO PICKS A DEMO OVER THE REAL GAME? I mean if it's a online multi player demo then MAYBE but no one picks it over the true game!

THe Wii is VERY underpowered and it's even hard to tell a Gamecube game from a Wii game... Nintendo 3rd biggest thing beside Innovation and fun factor is HORSEPOWER! Seriously make a DECENT powered system please. I have yet to see a Wii game with fully destructible environments and ragdoll physics. That ADDS ON TO THE FUN people, in case you haven't played a real next gen system. The 3DS looks great though.

This isn't a good thing at all. With at most being 5-8 hours of battery life Nintendo BETTER remake this thing... Seriously Nintendo... And no 3G?

NGP will be great, so will the 3DS... But which will be cheaper is the question...

250$ is cheap for the tech. And Nintendo will probably do a few price drops.
