Re: Mario Wii U "Based On" New Super Mario Bros. Mii

NintendoMaster

I feel disappointed for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I love playing 2D mario games but considering it feels like I just played New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii not too many years ago, I was anticipating a completely new game for Wii U. Who knows, Nintendo may show off multiple mario games at E3.

Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - September 2011

NintendoMaster

The 3DS virtual console service needs better games, now! I'm getting frustrated with very few games that are good every couple weeks, with games I never even have heard of before. Nintendo just puts its hand into a bag of old, unwanted, no-name games and pulls out a title. Nintendo needs to bring GBA titles to the virtual console and not the no-name ones. As a 3DS ambassador I am satisfied with the games announced thus far, but I would like them to release more games for this service that you can buy much like now with GB and GBC titles.

Re: Check Your 3DS Ambassador Status Now, North America

NintendoMaster

@SuperLink Nintendo states the following on their ambassador FAQ. "More details will be available closer to when the titles are ready for release." That gives them a little over a week to announce the remaining NES titles at least if we are to find out before September 1st.

Re: Talking Point: The GBA Games You Want on 3DS Virtual Console

NintendoMaster

Nintendo of America accidently told me two more titles in an email.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.

Here's the email for anyone who wants to see it.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. First off, I want you to know that I documented your comments and reported them to the relevant departments here at Nintendo. We appreciate hearing what is important to our consumers.

When Nintendo announced the price drop we also announced an offer to the loyal consumer who purchased the system at the original price. Let me share the details with you:

  • All current Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to download 20 free games from the Nintendo eShop, half of which are available exclusively to you as an early adopter and will not otherwise be made available for purchase or download on Nintendo 3DS.
  • In order to get these games, you will need to use a broadband Internet connection and go into the eShop by 11:59pm Eastern time Aug 11, 2011. If you have already done this, you are set. Once this is complete, you are automatically registered for the "Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program."
  • Then, on September 1, 2011, you’ll be able to download 10 NES Virtual Console games at no charge, before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. All the game titles are not known as of yet, but here are the games I know are included so far:
    o Super Mario Bros.
    o Donkey Kong Jr.
    o Balloon Fight
    o Ice Climber
    o Legend of Zelda
  • Next, at a later date, you’ll be able to download 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. Unlike the NES games, these will be available exclusively to Ambassadors—we currently have no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future. Again, not all the games are known, but here is the list so far:
o Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
    o Mario Kart: Super Circuit
    o Metroid Fusion
    o WarioWare
    o Inc: Mega Microgame$
o Kirby & The Amazing Mirror

More details will be made available at a later date, so keep an eye on our website (www.nintendo.com).

At this time, we have no plans for alternative offers similar to what you've described, but I hope you feel like we’re treating you fairly with this program and that you’ll continue to be a loyal Nintendo customer.

Sincerely,

Dervin Camden

Re: North America Nintendo Video Service Due "Later This Summer"

NintendoMaster

I contacted Nintendo and received this response. "Thanks for contacting us. We had hoped to have the short-form video service application available at the launch of the Nintendo eShop. However, we are still in the process of developing this service as we want to be sure that it is polished and ready to go. While a specific date has not yet been determined, I can tell you that in the near future, users will be able to download this free application that will enable them to view specially selected video content, including 3D movie trailers, comedy clips and music videos automatically received using the SpotPass feature. (Please note that this service will be different than the Netflix download, which is scheduled to be available sometime this summer.)"
