A smorgasbord of trademarks that Nintendo of Japan reserved approaching the unveiling of the Wii U at E3 has just been revealed. Most of these are likely to end up as unused protective placeholders, a usual practice for the Big N, but it's still neat to see what the company might have up its sleeves.
It's also worth noting that Virtual Console U, or some equivalent, is nowhere in sight. Recently a Nintendo executive claimed that GameCube titles would be downloadable through WiiWare; perhaps she meant to use that term after all?

Wii-U speak.... theres a mic on the controler. So is it just an application you can use with it? If they make another thing you have to buy for it, then they're stupid. If they make it requiring friend codes of compatible games, they're MORE stupid.

Xbox Avatars look good in my opinion. And please Nintendo, I'm already getting sick of the letter "U" in everything. And haha, the uShop Channel. This is going to be so annoying, but It's turning out to be a beautiful system in my eyes.

They had a video of the balance board working with the WiiUPAd didn't they? I'm not opposed to them coming out with another WiiFitPlusU GAME but a board? An updated board with a digital - a la scale - readout isn't even necessary as the WiiUPad is held in front of your face.
Man, hope my U key doens't break anytime soon.
Seems more like a safety thing rather than actual ideas. I mean why would they make a WiiU Balance Board when the WiiU is B/C with the Wii one?
Looks like a 'in case of' deal to me just so they won't get sued if someone trademarked it before them. I could see WiiU Music/Play/Sports/Fit/Ware /Party come to life at some point though.

They all are probably code names and they don't want people coping of them. Nothing says they are real products but they might be real accessories.
