@TeeJay I believe it's been around for a little while, but it got very popular when a former college athlete accepted the challenge because it spread to many pro sports. I know that just about every big name in hockey's already done it.

@SuperMikey it's really fun, online is great, and it's mario kart the simplicity and the fun of playing with friends at your home is part of the charm.

Wii U needs it more but it will make more money on 3DS so it'll be for the 3DS

Maybe they'll send a Fi in a box and every time you pick up a chocolate bar she will analyze it for you. Or a Navi to say, Hey listen, go to the gym.

Where is the hardware if it's not a console and it's not wearable? It has to be somewhere.

This is interesting I'm not quite sure what they mean by non wearable (other than it's not worn) at this point they didn't give us much to go on other than their expanding their business to more than gaming and it will improve your fitness in an entertaining way. The concept makes sense

I'm glad they said May if it just stayed at spring after the next nintendo direct I would be worried about them having to delay it.

Nintendo is a very smart company financially, they made a few mistakes getting in to this position but I've no doubt they'll find a way out. And I applaud Iwata for putting the company first.

@Spoony your saying that we are definitively wrong but we are speaking of future events. I'm not saying this is a smart business plan moving to mobile, it makes a lot of sense short term but it would lead to nintendo ending up like sega. if nintendo did move to mobile there would be a large group of stock holders that would sell but for every one that sold two or three would buy some are already anticipating this and buying now. so if nintendo announces on Friday they are not moving to mobile games stocks will most likely fall.

@Spoony I'm afraid she's right, wether or not the app works as nintendo wants is up for debate but stock holders want nintendo to move in to mobile gaming and make money from it. Every single time nintendo has addressed the fact that Mario's not moving to mobile stocks have dropped, and yesterday they went up in the middle of the day after the article was published.

@gatorboi352 there trying to advertise throughout smart phones for the consoles not make profit. "the intention will apparently be for these to be free services."

They should switch the name in japan around as well to confuse people

@gatorboi352 Not buying a game does not make you part of the problem other wise over 6 billion people are part of the problem because they dint get a third party game on wii u. It just means that you aren't part of the solution. I am not obligated to buy every game that makes it on to a nintendo platform not even first party ones. But every wii u that's out there means another potential customer for third party developers and a better possibility we will see the games we want on the wii u.

I'm sure that nintendo is a great partner for EA there always willing to put out their games on the wii u. EA is not however a good one for nintendo as they just get the scraps EA decides to through under the table.

Mario kart 8 is their last chance. O but if that fails there is smash bros, and if that doesn't work Zelda, of course if none of those work a new metroid game could do it, or starfox, Maybe one of its other IPs, or a new one those are nintendos only chances, unless people figure out how good the games already on the wii u are.

If a game is fun to play as a kid it's if anything more fun to play as an adult. However Teens think they are very grown up and kids games are below them

I think the big N has handheld in the bag, Mario should win family and zelda should win at least one of its catagories probably the previously stated handheld.

Smash bros was probably the second most anticipated game this year. Everyone's following the screenshots and the new challengers. People are getting excited when an assist trophy is added

The fact that a wii u game came out as the winner in a 3DS era proves that Mario is still the king of video games and that it is one hell of a game

Seems like they took their advirtisment budget from last year and started to use it in the last few weeks. I've seen 3 advertisements for the wii u this week and I don't watch a lot of TV

@IceClimbers I mean more of a midd evil game like stronghold crusaders except with a story and a more hands on approach (which is kinda like pikmin) a strategy game that takes in to account factors like terrain and morel. Instead of one unit always has an advantage against another.

Nintendo needs an RTS it would work brilliantly with the game pad serving as a map of troops movements and being able to easily assign specific units to different regiments. And I'm sure a whole host of things I haven't thought of.

Nintendo has a very good chance of wining 3 categories and has a chance at all 5. Goes to show the quality of nintendos products

@pureval you have it easy if anything actually comes to Canada they only hit Toronto and Vancouver if you live between those its a 30 hour drive

Infinity cost them so much to make and I haven't really heard anything about it till now. I love Disney but I don't think they've made a good game in a while

I hope this shows an increase in popularity and not just those companies under stocking a product that wasn't selling
