@HugoGED had a mixed experience with Knockout Tour Triple Stars. There would be cups that I breeze thru easily, and then one would come up that I'm stuck on for an hour lol Looking at you, Heart Cup
A solid 9 because I was definitely feeling a bit of fatigue towards the end. Thank god IT happens towards that point to get me reinvigorated lol. Now to do the post game. . .
It's incredibly funny seeing people say DF hates Nintendo when throughout the Switch 1 generation they praised game after game for running as well as they do on the handheld, particularly the "impossible ports". Even in this video, they do say they're largely happy with the Switch 2, they just have issues with the HDR and the apparently worse screens, the latter of which I don't even notice even after knowing about it
@Bullspit760 finally, someone with a practical reason for wanting games on a cart. As much as I do enjoy collecting games physically, a big reason is because I wanna save space for those games I know I'm gonna need to download And to give a downside to physical: if, hypothetically, my whole collection was physical, I'd have to change out cards each and every time I wanna play a different game, and even tho I grew up with that stuff, I'll admit having a digital collection where I can just click on a game and play it is mighty convenient
@Yosher Wii servers are still available to redownload any purchases you may have made, so it's a fairly safe assumption to say it'll work the same way with the Game Key Cards. Plus I'd imagine fans would put up a reasonable stink if Nintendo never announced they were shutting down the servers and so they'd back off from doing it It worked with Sony
@YunoboCo You are DYING on this hill, aren't you? I will say this: as someone whose first game was the first DKC and was initially horrified at the new design, it's starting to grow on me. It's still DK, just. . . chonkier and more expressive
@Misima that's gonna be an inherent risk to having digital anyways, sadly. I would imagine they have back ups somewhere, but there's no real way to know
@Anti-Matter Not all games, especially in this modern age, are going to be able to fit on a 64GB card. At the very least, you can resell your game key cards or, more importantly, lend them to your family and friends
@Moistnado at least with game key cards you can resell them and their expiration date is until the servers go under. Which hopefully won't be for a long while.
I feel like people tend to forget that, as much as we love video games these days, they're still a luxury at the end of the day. Wages aren't really following the cost of living and we need to be more stingy on what we buy as adults in general because we no longer can just focus on buying video games Not trying to defend Nintendo here, not fully at least, but I feel like you're getting mad at the wrong people
Not that this excuses the prices going up, at least not completely, but Yoshi's Island sold on the SNES for $70 That's $140ish dollars in 2024 money. The fact that games have remained at $60 for the past decade and a half is kind of an anomaly. If anything, we should be more upset that living wages haven't really followed inflation
@roy130390 I do get that, but they are supposed to be professionals at the end of the day. I'm leaving a critique so that they can be more aware of it and try to be more consistent. That said, you are right, it could just be different reviewers who look out for certain things that others don't
Noticing an inconsistent standard. Prime Remastered didn't show the original developers, and you commented on it, and that makes sense TTYD HD didn't show the original devs, and you guys said nothing about it Now DKCR HD doesn't mention it, and you are docking points again. Are you just adding those observations arbitrarily, or do you forget to make that observation sometimes?

Re: Mario Kart World Has Been Updated To Version 1.2.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@wutadam likely to let players get used to a track but with items? Kinda feels like time trial already does that, but there's no harm in options

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"
Hitstop/stun or whatever it's called is acceptable to me cuz that helps emphasize the crunch of the attack imo
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week
This just makes me want them to do a port of Charged. Was the best in the series imo

It worked with Sony
Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"
Despite the fact that game key cards seem to be VERY prevalent, I'd still prefer these over download codes cuz I can at least share and resell these
Re: The House Of The Dead 2: Remake Reloads For August Release On Switch
Jaaaaaaaamees
Go and prevent the confusion
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Hasn't Forgotten About Diddy & Dixie Kong After All
My god, I think Diddy is using his tail as a seatbelt for Dixie on Rambi
Very nice detail
Re: Nintendo Reminds Mario Kart Players They Can Toggle Auto And Smart Controls
Getting the feeling people are losing the ability to just look for this stuff

@glennthefrog common misconception: Miyamoto actually supplied that design to Illumination for the movie
Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Comments On Switch 2's "Hefty" Price Hikes
@kedireturns A simple "I disagree" would've been enough
Re: Mario Kart World Is Reportedly The Smoothest Entry Yet
@Rykdrew I think it's more saying no one has tested it yet, so can't say one way or the other
Re: Digital Foundry Digs Deep Into Mario Kart World's Tech And Specs
@N00BiSH it's likely they prefer the more "grounded" approach 8/D had. Me personally, I enjoy the cartoony bounciness

@N8tiveT3ch gonna imagine that you also lived with your parents/guardians so you could focus that money solely on video games
Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Donkey Kong Bananza Are In
@Anti-Matter Nintendo games rarely require that much space, so you don't have much to worry about from 1st-party games

They did so with BotW
