Re: Collect These Sonic Generations Screenshots for a Continue

KrazyBean

That's more I like it SEGA, It's lookin' good! I might actually by the 3DS version along with the HD version now. I need my Sonic fix on the go.

I just hope that they fix the Sonic 4 physics for Classic Sonic, but if it makes it into the final version I wouldn't waste my time raging...like others, sigh

@mariofanatic128
Wouldn't a Wii version be a watered down version too? ...Oh SNAP!

The thing is, Sonic Generations HD is built with the Hedgehog Engine (The Hedgehog Engine is a GRAPHICS engine which was made for the HD consoles ONLY), downscaling the graphics and putting it on a console which cannot handle the Hedgehog Engine is impossible. That's fact.

The only way Sonic Generations can come on the Wii is if they built a version of it with a graphics engine compatible with the Wii...they did that with Sonic Unleashed (Wii) and look how that turned out compared to the HD versions. Not to mention that Sonic Team have to split up their team and resources even further if there was a Wii version in the works.

Luckily Nintendo have finally made a powerful HD console and SEGA do not have to worry about that sort of issue anymore in the future.

Re: First Impressions: Sonic Generations

KrazyBean

Looks like SEGA has got a lot of work on their hands if they want Sonic Generations 3DS to be even remotely better than Sonic Rush.

The HD versions are amazing though...and the new Chemical Plant screenshots enforce this.

Re: Surprise, SEGA Bringing High Definition Sonic to Wii U

KrazyBean

@23
...Sorry but I have to disagree on that. Sonic 4 physics for Classic Sonic, super linear level design for both Sonic's and mediocre graphics are NOT in the HD version. The 3DS version is nowhere near on par with the HD versions.

There are still 5 months left until Generations is out so SEGA might prove me wrong.

Re: Surprise, SEGA Bringing High Definition Sonic to Wii U

KrazyBean

@18
Because it IS a Sonic Generations screenshot...

To topic: Well, this was a no brainier...obviously a Sonic game will come out for the Wii U, at least some Nintendo fans can finally stop arguing about Sonic Generations coming to Wii U.

I personally can't wait to see a Sonic game on the PS4/Xbox 720 which will use the full power of the Hedgehog Engine...here's a fact, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations are actually using only half the power of the Hedgehog Engine, can you imagine how good a Sonic game can look if it uses all it's power?! The graphics could be like Crysis level!

But a Wii U Sonic is pretty cool too and I can't wait to see what it'll be. =)

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 Due "In the Near Future"

KrazyBean

After seeing Classic Sonic's physics in Sonic Generations (HD), this better NOT have the same crappy Sonic 4 physics!!

Otherwise I'll march in SEGA's offices and do stuff to them...and not in a sexual way >=)

@6
Not really...Sonic 4: Ep 2 can actually have never before seen stages, so it can still be a fresh experience. Also Metal Sonic is in it! =)

Re: Rumour: Wii U is 50% More Powerful Than PlayStation 3

KrazyBean

Let's see how powerful the PS4 will be...then we can ring the bell to start the match.

Nintendo hasn't sold me on the Wii U yet...seriously, if its that powerful it'll explode! The PS3 has enough trouble outputting those graphics without overheating and the Wii U is supposed to be 50% stronger??

Well, Nintendo, put a good fan in it then.

Re: Pachter: Wii U is Too Late, 'Dumbest Name Ever'

KrazyBean

If the Wii U did come out 2-3 years ago...I would have got it in a heartbeat! But now, apart from Nintendo's HD exclusives....there's no reason for me to buy another HD console, I already have an Xbox 360 and lots of games are still coming for it (Sonic Generations and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, are my highlights).

A bit too late Ninty...HD isn't that impressive anymore. Also, Wii U?? Why didn't they call it the Nintendo REVOLUTION??! Way more badass than the Wii U...it sounds like a bloody police siren when you say it repeatedly!

Also price is a BIG issue with the Wii U, I mean, why should I buy a Wii U for £300-400 whilst I can get PS3/Xbox 360 bundles for less than £250? Nintendo have got a lot of work cut out for them.

sigh Oh Nintendo...you're quite the one. At least you upcoming 3DS titles make up for everything...Ocarina of Time this FRIDAY!! =D

Re: Sony President Thinks 3DS is Just an Updated DS

KrazyBean

I agree with him on this. I don't know why everyone is so angry about this...if someone says something bad about Nintendo, all hell breaks loose =|

Anyway...

NGP's launch looks AMAZING compared to the 3DS...they have WipEout and Uncharted on Day 1! Great games those. But the time the NGP is out the 3DS will have Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 3DS, Super Mario 3DS, Paper Mario 3DS, BIT. TRIP SAGA, Metal Gear Solid 3D, Sonic Generations 3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising, the e-Shop games and SO MUCH MORE!!

Sony has to step it up to win against that...

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS to Spin Dash Stores in November

KrazyBean

@10
You're dreaming if you think that the 3DS could handle a HD port...besides, the 3DS gets exclusive levels and SPECIAL STAGES! If any handheld is getting a port of the HD version...it's the NGP.

I'm still going to get this anyway, but I'll be on the 360 version way more...but Sonic on-the-go is always nice =)

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS & New Shinobi Title Confirmed

KrazyBean

Sonic Generations 3DS ain't gonna be a port of the HD version. It's probably going to be like Sonic Rush but with a few 3D segments for Modern Sonic and Genesis style gameplay for Classic Sonic.

The 3DS can't handle the Hedgehog Engine, so it's gonna be a brand new version of Sonic Generations altogether...and I'll still get it (even though I have a 360)

Re: First DOA Dimensions SpotPass Content Now Available in UK and Europe

KrazyBean

@ daznsaz
Oh, so it was you I fought online...that was a great match. I need to polish up my skills a bit more (Do you mind if I can have your 3DS friend code?) =D

Also, yes, I got my SpotPass content...it always feels so good seeing that blue light! Now I want the notification to say that it's time to update your Nintendo 3DS. =)

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Rumours Gain Speed

KrazyBean

@81: shinobi88
Alright we get it, you don't like Modern Sonic...you're just going on and on now!! For crying out loud, go play some CoD or something or travel back in time to 1991, buy a Genesis and Sonic 1 and stay there.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Rumours Gain Speed

KrazyBean

@78: shinobi88
I think that Sonic Unleashed (The HD version of course) is a better game to examine when talking about Modern Sonic. Sonic Unleashed's early stages are pretty linear, but the game encourages you to speed-run through them...and believe me when I say that it's not easy.

I don't see how you can say that Sonic Colours is only on-rails whilst you haven't even played it yourself...you should see gameplay footage of Planet Wisp, Aquarium Park and Asteroid Coaster...there's so much platforming in those levels that you can see that this game was more on the classic side than the modern side. It's not on-rails if you have to control Sonic to platform.

P.S - Sonic was always about getting from A to B. And SEGA said that Sonic Colours was aimed at Kids and Mario fans, they didn't say that Modern Sonic as a character was aimed at kids completely. If you want a challenge, play Sonic Unleashed HD.

OK, I'm done, if you still think that ALL Modern Sonic games are 'on-rails' and aimed at kids after reading then that's your opinion and I can't change that...and that's a huge shame cause you're obviously going to buy Sonic Generations for just half the game. sigh

@80: JDesensitized
Exactly! There's so much to Sonic Colours stages than meets the eye.

Re: Review: Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3DS)

KrazyBean

@24: Boss_X0
DoA: Dimensions is supposed to be aimed at the hardcore fans and the casual person looking for a good fighting game. That's why Tecmo Koei made it simpler.

If they made the difficulty ridiculous, the casual person will probably sell it the next day...casual players are not bothered to spend 100's of hours honing their skills in Training Mode.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Rumours Gain Speed

KrazyBean

@63: shinobi88
LOLOLOLOLOLOL! I don't know what to say about this...Modern Sonic isn't a platformer. It's an on-rails shooter?? Last time I checked Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colours DIDN'T play like Kid Icarus: Uprising!

If a game has got guns and the game plays everything for you apart from the shooting, then yes, that's an on-rails shooter (Sin and Punishment for example) you've got your genres mixed up mate. Also 2D Sonic isn't Mario with more speed, Mario doesn't have momentum and pinball physics does he?

Sonic's Homing Attack is as iconic as his Spin Dash IMO, playing a 3D Sonic game without the Homing Attack is like playing a 2D Sonic game with no Spin Dash, also you have to control Sonic by Quick-Stepping, Drifting and Running through the levels don't you? If you tell me all you do is Homing Attack in ALL 3D Sonic games then no offence but you're severely WRONG!

Obviously you haven't played Unleashed HD's Eggmanland level have you?

Anywho...

@69: Kirk
That's kinda good...it gives the level a load of depth, which will be great for 3D viewing. I just hope the 3DS version isn't severely watered down compared to the HD versions.

@72: Rapadash6
Yes, quite a chunk of 3D Sonic games do suck, I'll admit, but instantly saying that a new 3D Sonic game will suck because previous entries sucked is just silly...unless you're psychic, no one will know the outcome of this 3D Sonic game. That's why I have a little something called 'Faith'.

Re: Review: Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3DS)

KrazyBean

Nice! I'm gonna sell Rayman 3D for this...but then I'll have 2 3DS fighting games (I wouldn't have that much variety)...Oh well, Ocarina of Time 3D is only a month away anyway

Can anyone recommend any launch title games for the 3DS apart from SSF4: 3D and PilotWings Resort? I don't like the idea of having 2 3DS fighting games...I want more variety.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Rumours Gain Speed

KrazyBean

@Highwinter
Well...it's a shame that you're buying this for only half the game, if you're buying it at all.

I love being an All-Around Sonic fan...why play as only one Sonic whilst you can play as both? And that's why I'll be playing both sides of the game like crazy until the next HD Sonic game comes out!

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Rumours Gain Speed

KrazyBean

@18:
Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic blah blah blah. Sonic IS Sonic, no matter the design. As long as he's blue, runs at the speed of sound and he's a hedgehog...he's Sonic. Classic Sonic is infact Modern Sonic in his childhood days, so that makes them the same doesn't it?

I swear, since Generations was announced....there's been so much diversity and controversy with Sonic. Jeez.

Back to topic:
That's pretty cool! I'll nab a 3DS version for on-the-go purposes and a 360 version for HD gaming purposes =)

Re: Angry Birds Dev Calls Nintendo Games "$49 Pieces of Plastic"

KrazyBean

Oh yeah, I would LOVE to see a game as long as ANY Zelda game on the App Store. I would obviously pay £40 for a piece of plastic which gives me HOURS of entertainment rather than download Angry Birds for 90p and play it for only 5 minutes and get bored of it.

Also, you can't return DLC if it has a problem with it...so SHHHUT UP and get on with your work!

Re: 3DS Launch Title Sales Chart (UK)

KrazyBean

LMAO! I only bought the top 3 titles . Here's what I have to say abaout those titles:

Super Street Fighter IV 3D: Best port of a game EVER! It just works on a 3DS...SSFIV on the go? Yes please (I'm playing it at College right now xD)

Pilotwings Resort: AMAZING 3D usage! You really feel like you're in there!

Rayman 3D: One of the best 3D platformers you can buy for the 3DS (before Super Mario 3DS comes out ). The framerate can get a tad annoying though, but the 3D makes up for it (cause it has wonderful 3D, for me at least).

Now Nintendo, please give me Mario Kart 3DS already!!
