@Ernest_The_Crab It's not about "looking stupid" either, I'm talking strictly about good design characteristics: shape, color, simmetry, harmony, simplicity and specially patterns; suddenly almost every pokemon had stripes, stains, spikes, moldings, all of them or generally too exagerated designs. They started looking like piñatas rather than "animals" and by animals I mean pokemon, not real animals.
As I said in other news post on the same topic. In the case of a new game with new gameplay but already existing IP: God, I'm tired of these same "IP" game, give us something new nintendo! In the case of new game with new IP: I dont get it, if they have a lot of awesome IPs why would they make new characters for this? It would have been much more fun and succesful with an already existing IP.
You can never have everybody happy, people will always complain about something.
It's not about the fact that it's based on real life objects or inanimate objects or a magent or an ice cream, it's the design quality what's been going down since the 4th generation, and it's obvious since Satoshi Tajiri stopped desiging them personally after ruby and sapphire. The man was a genius.
New gameplay mechanic in a knwon IP: I don't understand, why not using this gameplay in a new IP? I'm tired of all these same games. In the case of using New Gameplay mechanic in a new IP: Why they didnt use this on a mario game or another already existing IP? It could have been so much succesful instead of using new faces nobody knows.
You can never have everybody happy, people will always complain.
And perfectly good games like the original TLoZ, Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker get remakes? This is the only zelda game that deserves a remake. I imagine a remake with a mix of Link's abbilities in SSB like the down and up thrust, the spin attack, and smash attacks; the inclusion of the old and new items which Zelda II didnt even use; sprinting and jumping like in SS, and more develped story which neither Zelda I or II explained a lot.
Retro's big project was actually Star Fox X Metroid but when the rumours started and everyone hated the idea Retro said "Ok, well, that's not going happen then, back to DK!" And that's why no Retro games were shown at E3 2012.
When he first mentioned it like 3 years ago, relations between Nintendo and Platinum were differente, it was just a comment like "SF is my favorite game, Id love to make a SF game". Now that PG and Nin have been supporting each other with TW101 and B2 it really feels like a possibility. They have been in contact a lot so there has to be more confindence on each other.
The Star Fox franchise has been kind of "rebooted" in every game. Star Fox 64 is a direct reboot of the original SNES Star Fox. Star Fox Adventures is total different genre, you could say Nintendo tried another direction for the series. Star Fox Assault is kind of like Jet Force Gemini mixed with some Star Fox 64, maybe trying to please fans of both 64 and adventures. Finally Command is more about strategy and taking decisions.
The sales of the ps3 and 360 versions are gonna be bigger than wii u's alone so, the producers of the game would not even care if no one buys the wii u version.
If you die in a dungeon and select continue, you start from the begining of the dungeon! Only if you die on the overworld or if you select to save you start from the begining of the game. Seriously is not that hard.
All the time they wasted on ubisoft games (that we already saw on the ubisoft conference), on the unneccesary long nintendo land presentation and on wii u aspects we already knew from the nintendo direct, they could have used it on showing the 3ds games.
I would like more variety on the missions like on assault. If its an on rails mission it would be cool that at some point you have to stop, land de arwing and do a little mission on foot and then return to the arwing or the tank, or like if you could control exactly when and where you want to star the all-range mode. It would be cool also to see the fox from the smash bros series, using the reflector and kicking and punching, and running like hell!

I'm not sure if they have a point, or It's just me not seeing too much difference.

Nah I didn't mean it in a bad way, it's just the way it is and people are spinnin the issue too much when it's just that simple.

The pro controller looks like an xbox controller because nintendo wants to bring "hardcore" gamers from other consoles to wii u.
