I dislike almost all of gen 5 as well. But I don't know why he picked exeggutor over a literal pile of eggs. I feel there were a much better picks though. Like living swords, ice cream, and a ring of floating keys....Dont even get me started on that washing machine...I feel like Im the only one who even remembers that theres a pokemon...that turns into a washing machine....
I thought the Double Barrel Samus sold for a cheap price as far as collectors and fanatics go. This is more of what I expected. Ridiculous all the same in my opinion, but I'd never judge anyone for paying so much money for a small factory defect on a $12 dollar toy. If that's your thing, hey lol
Pokemon are starting to look less and less like "Pokemon". Washing Machines, Ice Cream Cones, Swords, KEYS!!??? and now whatever that thing was. Though to be fair, there was the occasional oddity from time to time back in the day. Like a pokemon that's a pile of eggs...
I remember when I had an advantage back in the day when this wasn't common knowledge :/ lol In all seriousness I'm glad more fans know about them, and that it's much more user friendly and no longer requires complex algorithms like it did in the past.
As someone pointed out, the Wii U has a year head start on it's competition. Do you guys remember what the Wii U was like a year ago? No Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, etc? The reason it sold so badly and no one was running to get a Wii U was because there was no reason too; there were no worthwhile games. If the PS4 and Xbox One released around the same time as the Wii U like it normally does, and it being one year into the cycle like it's competitors, with the Wii U having none of the games that came out this year, this wouldn't even be much of an argument.
Because of his, the same argument applied to Sony and Microsoft, can be applied to Nintendo in it's first year as well. And don't kid yourself, Nintendo's sales a year ago are considerably worse compared to the PS4's and Xbox One's after just one year. We had the same thing happen for the 3ds as well. If I've ever been a fanboy, it was for Nintendo when I was young. However, I really dislike how arrogant Nintendo has become. It's not uncommon for a CEO or COO to say "our product is better", but it's up to the consumer to decide a system's value. Their run to argument is always "we have kart, and we have smash" as well, which are just a handful of games compared to a vast library that is in the works for other consoles, as it's only been a year. They shouldn't talk down to people for liking other things other than Nintendo franchises, or assume that's all consumers want. Sales clearly say differently,
I'm rooting for all consoles to be successful (Though I'm still not quite over what Microsoft did, and still don't see a reason to buy one with a PS4)
I do actually wonder. Do you think Smash Bros. can sell as much as Smash Brothers Melee before this generation ends? If you owned a gamecube, you almost definitely owned Smash Brothers as well.
Call me ignorant, but I will never allow a device in my home that actively watches me sleep while monitoring my heartbeat, my breathing, and even my movements. Not to mention all that information is sent to a cloud server. If you are very ill and need these things to help keep you alive, it could be very useful and more comfortable if you need to use some sort of device anyway. But for anyone else, this feels no better than the Xbox One's original Kinnect, which would track the movement of your eyes, your heart, and was an open door to third party hackers (Like the NSA did awhile back.)
Why...not even a month away, and gaming companies just cant contain their new info. This E3 was shaping up to be colossal, but a lot of it may be spoiled before it even begins this time..
This, the new poekmon reveals, etc. would have had much more impact if they were revealed at E3 in the next 3 weeks. Even if they have a serious trove of things to show, I would much rather receive all at once in one amazing week.
The same goes for other gaming companies. With it only being about 3 weeks away, I wish they'd be patient and stop revealing things. Smash Bros I understand. This way you have more time to talk about other things. But these little tidbits (remember that 30 sec Pokemone "trailer") would be much better if they would just hold off for a little longer.
@Royalblues I hope that wasn't a shot at me lol I specifically said that their comments about it being "racist" is totally ridiculous. I'm ashamed to say that my people are usually the first ones to call racism when there is none though. I was just saying as someone who isn't caucasian, I've never been offended with Nintendo's character selection, and honestly can't even imagine what other races would look like in Mario games. Maybe the next pokemon game or the next animal crossing, but Mario? Their vision is more than good enough for me.
Not bashing Zelda, but if Majoras Mask gets remade, it will still more or less be the same game. I'm sure Nintendo would not hold an hour and thirty minute long event for a game that most people have seen before. If it's a true remake, there's really nothing new to show that fans don't already know.
As a black guy, or rather someone of a race that isn't white, I find this whole racism thing to be just silly. The characters Nintendo have provided over the years do nothing to take away form the experience. Mario and Luigi are Italians anyway lol
Man Nintendo is dropping the surprises like crazy! I mean, I just learned about this on a totally unrelated site! I came here to verify, even though I was literally here 25 minutes ago, and BAM, new remake lol
Doing away with physical copies? Nintendo would lose way too much money doing something potentially foolish like that; at least for a while. It will take many more years for gaming to be 100% virtual downloads. I must be misunderstanding something as well.
Initially, you're paying the same amount of money for both forms of a game. One comes with it's own separate memory card/saves, while the other takes up a chunk of hardware space because well, it's a full digital game lol In the end, this will potentially cost you much more money; If you buy 2 games a year, maybe not, but if you average 5+, you're going to have to pay for more space, while the people who buy physical cartridges have their own save space independent of system memory. The option to download a game is great, but physical copies have a much bigger time span than a lot of you are thinking. It's easier for a lot of people (Especially parents/Grandparents) to buy a physical copy of something, as opposed to trying to understand the digital scene when they do their Christmas shopping, which is a vital time of the year for any gaming company.
Just my opinion though. I prefer to have physical copies(In the video game world). I don't really like digital too much, because digital can be lost and corrupted much easier than someone who takes basic care of their physical games.
Not dissing Virtual Reality, but it always felt like a 90's fad to me. For it to truly be impressive, like say something like Sword Art Online, it would also be incredibly dangerous; Not to mention technologically impossible.
I applaud those who develop in this field for those who really do enjoy this type of virtual reality, because it is quite an undertaking. For me personally though, it just looks and feels silly lol
As someone who has been hacking brawl for years, know that there have been 2 huge advancements recently. Number 1, you can now use any GB SDHC card with a file patch code.
For those asking why you would need so many customizable slots, if you didn't know already, there are many custom textures, and best of all, model swaps, which you can now play as standalone characters without replacing existing ones.
Want to play as a legitimate Cloud Strife? You can do so. Want to play as Shadow the Hedgehog with his own moveset, model, custom voice clips, and animations like skating as opposed to running? All very possible with brawl.
Here's an example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQCmLkHjkWI
Even if you have no interest in attempting this as it is a hack after all, I'd check out what people have done with the game over the years just for kicks. There are many characters from Nintendo franchises, and many others available to use in brawl with a little modification. Another short preview (Not the best stuff lol do a little digging by popularity) http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?MainType=Character&Target=Snake
It's finally time for me to get a Wii U. Looking at all the Mario Kart 8 tracks available on GameXplain, paired with this $300, dual game, 50 dollars back combo, It's finally time I got my Wii U!
Mario Kart 7 was the only Mario Kart I've skipped out on since 64. Thank You for telling me that, I had no idea. I even thought Metal Mario was a new character lol
E3 is pretty close (almost exactly 2 months away) It wouldn't make much sense for them to have a normal direct and reveal some new games, only for there to be 5 or 6 new ones for E3. If they save it for now, they will have a lot to show for the biggest gaming event of the year.
I think Nintendo is simply being strategic when it comes to information right now. We don't have any real gameplay videos when it comes to Smash Bros, and we know even less about how the game will play (Story Mode--No interconnecting story lines this time/ other game modes). So in the interest of time management, when E3 comes, they can focus on other things.
I'm glad they try, but it would mean a lot to a lot of people if there was an option to turn items off in certain modes to really prove who has the best skills.
But again, we appreciate all the effort they put into balancing their work.
Because there is such a thing as Sonic 06, fans will never get the game we truly want...Sonic Adventure 3. I so miss playing as other characters, and following an interconnecting story (That doesn't involve kissing humans and other uh..yea...)
oh man, it could've been so much worse...I actually had to look up a picture of knuckles, because I was slowly forgetting what knuckles is supposed to look like! I won't judge the game until it's released though.
The man just says he likes the work of a fellow gaming company, and people treat it as though he has committed a capital offense...
If you're really not a fanboy, it truly should make no difference in anything. All three 1st part companies have their strengths and their weaknesses. Nothing wrong with having a favorite, but wanting to put other companies and people down because they don't favor your personal pick is well......if you don't know how to finish that sentence, you may be a "fanboy" and not realize it lol
