This list must be wrong: I only count three games with the word "party" in the title. Why aren't publishers trying harder to get on board with this lucrative and booming market? Crazy.
@zane Thank goodness I said "I bet everything I own this will hit retail" rather than "I bet everything I own this won't hit the eShop"! That was nearly a very expensive trip to the post office!
Everyone who asked if we'll be covering it — yes, of course! We love doing E3. Corbie's down to attend the press conference and Ant, Tom, Mike and I will all be contributing news, features, live content and media throughout the show. It's going to be awesome
@XyVoX This is something we'll have to wait and find out I'm afraid. My gut instinct is we'll see a similar split between 1080p and 720p — I'd imagine most Nintendo games will be 1080, most third-parties 720p, particularly multi-format games.
@CyberNature Don't get me wrong, if this came out on the same day as a new Panzer/Skies I'd buy them over this, but I'll take what I can get. JSR is coming to PSN and XBLA and there's Crimson Dragon for Kinect that's basically a new Panzer Dragoon. Both will get my money, and the second one's not even published by SEGA. (I already have Skies and every Panzer game, so no need for rereleases for me.)
Wii Remote will be the same as on Wii, so will use AA batteries. Really though every semi-serious Wii owner should have a rechargeable battery kit for Wiimotes by now!
And the Wii U controller has a rechargeable internal battery, of course
@Byuu Cool, maybe it's only the smaller teams working with wired kits or they're being rolled out slowly? Makes sense you guys would get them first
@3dbrains Because Ubisoft develops games on development controllers — it's a Ubisoft-created trailer, not a Nintendo one, so it's using what the company has on hand. And trust me — developers use their controllers wired. Not saying that won't be the finished cable, just saying this is a development controller and not finalised retail hardware.
@Kirk For Dolphin to upscale Wii games takes a lot of hardware, probably costing more than Wii U. But they'll totally do GameCube games for download, that's a no brainer.
@3dbrains Not "new stuff" — these are development Wii U controllers and do not reflect what the finished product will look like. Dev Wii U controllers are wired; the real things are wireless
@stealth Taken from Nintendo's own statistics — checked them myself, they are correct. And you're right, DS had a slow start and didn't really take off until DS Lite, but crucially Nintendo made money on every DS sold.
@grumblebuzzz Mr Iwata cites the example of Animal Crossing, where it'd be great to have it on your Home Menu all the time instead of switching carts. Anyway, they'll likely be cheaper to buy online — I envision online retailers like Amazon and Play getting on this bandwagon, as they're just generating 16-digit codes. I know that GAME and Gamestation in the UK have been doing something similar with PSN and XBLA for a long time with considerable success.

Re: Review: Prince of Persia (Wii Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
@revanlynn Ahh I see — I've only ever played the Mega CD version so I'm not too up on his sartorial options!

Re: Rumour: This is Wii U's Controller Charging Dock
@tat2 Did not see those lines there! Excellent spot
@NintyFan I can guarantee you pre-E3 rumours are just getting started
Re: LEGO Zelda Concept Nets 10,000 Supporters
@Mandoble It's not a game, they're actual LEGO figures
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (North America)
@TheDreamingHawk Paul's Shooting Adventure 2 is listed on Nintendo.com. Not sure about Block Ball — try the Nintendo Channel or 3DS eShop
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (North America)
@Pastry4prez Mentioned them Tuesday morning my good man May's Club Nintendo Rewards
Re: Enclave Finally Steps Out of the Shadows on 22nd May
@MattEriks I meant "coming to Wii in the future", should have made that clearer
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (North America)
@ueI Sometimes I forget where I am.
Re: Enclave Finally Steps Out of the Shadows on 22nd May
@XCWarrior EU only for now as far as I know.

Re: Nintendo Games Back in Force at Game Stores
The official branding is no longer GAME — it's now Game, which makes headlines like this massively underwhelming at first glance.
Re: Download Your Wii U Games Overnight
@rjejr to answer your questions in order: 1) yes 2) no 3) they haven't said yet 4) no But Wii U will support external USB hard drives!
Re: More Mario Tennis Open Details Served Up
@yoshisfood2go You use the 3DS to look around the court and aim your shots, from what I can tell. It's in one of the earlier videos.
Re: La-Mulana Canned for North America, Europe
@Adam I've never heard of this "Cave Story". Is it new? I hope it comes out on every single Nintendo console ever.
Re: Oster Lays Out WiiWare Criticisms
@Polaris Not so — Icon Games: "Nintendo's Policies Put Jobs at Risk", for instance.
Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS
@TheNintendOtaku I can help you with that.

Thanks for calling me gullible, though!
Re: UK Charts Bring More of the Same for Nintendo
@ThumperUK How has Nintendo UK been "practically abolished and moved to Nintendo Europe"? Please explain.
Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed screenshots showing Panzer Dragoon stage and dragon! Awesome.
Re: Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS
Vyse + Panzer Dragoon = day one buy for me.
Re: Rumour: Midnight Purple 3DS Spotted on Retail Site
@Some_Chords No harm done! I should be used to it by now Anyway, we were one of the first sites to get the confirmation up, so it all evens out
Re: Rumour: Midnight Purple 3DS Spotted on Retail Site
Midnight Purple 3DS Hits North America on 20th May.
Re: Rumour: Midnight Purple 3DS Spotted on Retail Site
@Some_Chords I have other things to do with my weekends!
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (Europe)
@Gavin_Rozee I'm just double-checking that with Nintendo, there's been some confusion apparently. Will update ASAP.
Re: Really, That's Just a Sticker on the Wii U Controller
@Byuu Well as long as the wireless tech actually works, that's OK! Just hope the range on them is decent
Re: Review: Chuck E. Cheese's Arcade Room (DSiWare)
@XCWarrior A collection of five minigames takes less time to review than a game that lets you create your own puzzlers.

Re: Really, That's Just a Sticker on the Wii U Controller
@3DS Yep, devs are using wired controllers but the ones with the machine will be wireless
Re: Really, That's Just a Sticker on the Wii U Controller
The truth often is.
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@Gavin_Rozee Pick one Nintendo doesn't share that kind of information with my sources I'm afraid.
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@Gavin_Rozee Nope
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@3dbrains I have friends in the development community, that's all I can say
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@3dbrains @kirk Ah I see it now. I'm told it's a sticker and won't be on the final retail version.
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@3dbrains Because Ubisoft develops games on development controllers — it's a Ubisoft-created trailer, not a Nintendo one, so it's using what the company has on hand. @bezerker99 Where the heck did you get that from?!
Re: Talking Point: A Big Year for Nintendo
@stealth Taken from Nintendo's own statistics — checked them myself, they are correct. And you're right, DS had a slow start and didn't really take off until DS Lite, but crucially Nintendo made money on every DS sold.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 to Kick Off Retail Downloads
All hail @ChosenOne25, the prophet of truth and sensible analysis!
Re: Rayman Legends is Coming to Wii U, Supports NFC
@Kirk We haven't seen NSMB Wii U yet, though
Re: Nintendo Posts First Annual Loss in 30 Years
@K0M1C Nintendo does good = cake photo. Nintendo does bad = crying Pikachu. Standard journalistic practice!
Re: Nintendo Sets 10.5 Million Wii U Sales Target
@Henmii I'd say giving investors a bold statement on the same day you tell them your company lost $529 million is probably a good idea!
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 to Kick Off Retail Downloads
@Chariblaze Same prompt in Europe and Australia where connection rate is around 50%.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 to Kick Off Retail Downloads
I think Nintendo will release digital versions of retail games bit by bit in a similar situation to what we have now.
Re: Wii U Release Date and Price Announcements May Come After E3
@C-Olimar 3DS prices and dates were revealed in January 2011 in events at New York and Amsterdam, two months before the machine launched
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 to Kick Off Retail Downloads

Re: Wii U Will Launch With Digital Store
@grumblebuzzz There's no built-in hard drive (or at least, there wasn't one announced at E3) but it supports external USB HDDs or SD card expansions
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th April 2012 (Europe)
@DeMoN-13ruce No, they're not.
