Sick of feeling a little aggravated week after week due to lack of any Game Boy games....like where the heck is our Kid Icaurs Myths and Monsters and Wario Land??

I am loving the variety we are seeing in the form of 3D content.......... 6 months ago, I never thought something like this could happen

Just as well I've got Kid Icarus, RE:Revelations, Ace Combat, Shinobi and RE:Mercenaries, Pullblox, Mighty Switch Force and Dillon's Rolling Western to finish!

I don't know which will come first, a 3DS VC release or a Nintendo Download article without people crying about the lack of 3DS VC games. I'm willing to bet on the former. And that's saying something.

I'm considering buying both Bird Mania 3D and Amoebatle. I can't remember the last time I was interested in 2 games in the same week. Maybe never? Looking forward to the reviews.

"Intrinsic Games' long-awaited DSiWare strategy finally reaches Europe." I think this should say North America.

I'll have to wait for the reviews before deciding on any of these.

@Hyperstar96 Kirby's Block Ball is totally coming next week if I read the eshop right. When there was a Coming Soon section awhile ago, even though the eshop itself didn't display the dates, we knew what most of them were cause of nintendo.com and it basically organized the games coming soon by release date.

Kirby's Block Ball was sandwiched between games confirmed coming today and next week so I'm now 100% sure it's coming next week.

I know! There may not be a game that interests some this week, but it is really fantastic that the Eshop has some wind under its sails. They have churned out quite a bit of diverse games in the 3D arena. Keep em coming. Sure, more VC would be highly appreciated, but it will happen. We just got 3 game gear games. Nintendo is pacing itself. No 3Dware that week, I bet money you'll get a VC title. There's a lot there right now however to play through. I just beat avenging spirit. It was a rather cool little game. Now I'm working my way through bionic commando and metroid.

Here's hoping amoebattle is good.

What baffles me is why put Kirby's Block Ball as coming soon on the eShop and then take weeks to release it?

Why is everyone saying this is a bad week? Bird Mania looks pretty good. We should be all happy we're getting our first $2 3DS game. Not sure about Amoebattle but it does say long awaited, so in theory that should be decent. And we are also getting a Wii VC game which everyone used to complain about not getting. I do think Nintendo should give us more Game Boy games but I'd rather have new content.

Nothing for me this week, again, but I'm not too worried about it. Still pretty engaged in KIU and MK7, not to mention I've only scratched the surface of Rolling Western. I don't have enough time to play all my games.

Super Hang On is pretty decent, right? Never played it myself or paid attention to it. Plus a Wii VC game is rarer than a 3DS VC game, especially a VC Arcade game.

Will be picking up Bird Mania later today. The price is honestly the deciding factor. Definitely seems worth 2 bucks. And I need some endless runner on this system, I'd much prefer this over I Must Run.

Bird Mania 3D seems pretty cool, for $2 I'll take a risk on it. I've given up on the 3DS Virtual Console, the imbeciles at NoA need to just kill the service already it's embarrassing at this point.

Honestly, NoA is not obliged to compensate for anyone. Fanboys think that they are entitled to whatever they want, but the harsh reality here says otherwise.

This is unusual, the eShop actually had 2 mediocre weeks back to back (Block Factory, Bird Mania 3D). At least we had 3 awesome weeks beforehand (Colors! 3D, Ketzal's Corridors, 3D Classics: Kid Icarus). Also, with Kirby's Block Ball hitting next week, it looks like we will be returning to the usual high level of quality we've come to expect, after these two weeks.

that's one more step towards Retro City Rampage being canceled...

Yes, of course some fanboys are going to take it too far - but stop making sweeping generalisations about the people that would like to get these games. There's a difference between whining and making a complaint, whether or not you agree with it. You really need to learn that.

Meh week. Now, if they would've done Super Hang On on the 3DS with 3D, that would've been worth a purchase.

Sega should make a Hang-On sequel. The last one was on the Saturn in 1996.

So Europe got Game & Watch Gallery 2... But we didn't... And still no Wario Land 1... Makes me sad... :' (
Oh well. I hate to complain, but this is just getting silly.

My first experience with Super Hang-On was on the Sega Genesis 6-Pak and it was the game I played least on that compilation cartridge. I have a Wii, but no DSi or 3DS so I'll pass on this week's offerings.

I was really looking forward to Amoebattle after hearing about it. I love the graphics style and game type. I feel like I should wait for a review, but I really don't want to.
Bird Mania looks like it has good production values. Watching the video, it seems a little fast and crazy for me (I hated those things about Sonic) but it still seems like a safe game to try out for only $2. It can't be worse than Come On! Heroes.
I was even thinking of buying Art Style Pictobits because I didn't want to spend the club nintendo coins on it but it still looked like a good game. Now I may have to wait.

Either way, people will whine every week about the Nintendo Download. I've begun to find it best to either just ignore or laugh at the whiners. But engaging in verbal spats about it doesn't do anyone any good.

So we're getting Kirby Block Ball next week instead of Wario Land? That's a pretty stupid move on Nintendo's part.

Well this week is good in my book. We got a VC game on Wii (although I'm personally not interested) plus a decent little (and not to mention, cheap) 3DS download, and a seemingly good RTS game for DSiWare. Not really a bad game in the bunch! Be upset that there may not be anything for you personally but at least recognize that this week isn't half bad. And next week won't be bad either. I can't wait to download Kirby's Block Ball! I have a theory. It seems that lately US has gotten non-stop 3DSWare and Europe non-stop 3DS VC. perhaps next week is the switching point where both regions will catch up in each area. Here's hoping for Wario Land the week after Kirby!

this COULD be a sign that we may see more arcade for the vc, maybe.
but it dont matter if they gave us TMNT arcade, someone will complain, but i realize everyone wants the games of their choice.

It's true, as everyone wants particular games it doesn't matter what is released, people will still be complaining.

I do think that they should release one 3DSWare game, one VC game and one DSiWare game on the eShop each week though, as that would keep more people happy.

An OK week. Thanks Teyon for making the cheapest Eshop game ever! And it's actually very good indeed. I worried those achievements would be a little too easy to get, but I can't seem to get any. This game will give you a good challenge. I would rate that a 8/10 in my book.

Amoebattle seems interesting, but I don't know that much about it... I will wait for a review on that one.

As for Super-hang on, I will just thank SEGA for saving the Wii VC again, seeing how we got SSFII last week. (I could have sworn Kirby's block ball would make it this week, being a quiet week and all.)

Oh, and next week's game is Sudoku by Nikoli on the 3DSWare. I have no clue how to play sudoku that well, so I will pass on that one. I just hope Kirby's block ball or some other game comes out on that day... Otherwise that may actually be the first bad week of the quarter, in my opinion.

The Virtual Console's continued absence on the 3DS is as irritating as ever, but I am intrigued by this week's eShop offerings. Amoebattle, in particular, looks really good (it's just too bad I'm not in the mood for a RTS right now) and Bird Mania 3D looks like it could be good, cheap fun.

It's too bad that the most recent DSiWare/eShop "original" games are both iOS knockoffs: I Must Run = Canabalt, and Bird Mania sounds an awful lot like Tiny Wings. I get that game companies will copy what is popular elsewhere, but I wish the actual games would be released on Nintendo platforms. Must be the high dev kit cost? Or...? Not sure.

Well, there's a difference between whining and just giving a general criticism. Saying that Nintendo's handling of the 3DS VC has been poor is simply just pointing out an absolute fact. You should get a clue about the person you decide to throw out personal attacks against as well, as I've also given Nintendo credit where it's due as I feel they've handled the 3D Classics and 3D game sections of the E-Shop very well, probably even better than the early days of Wii VC which was supported nicely through about 2009. Further more, I never said Nintendo should change it's release schedule. However, if you have a service like the 3DS VC it should be supported well, and it has not been. If you ask me the whole thing is really a waste since the 3D Classics section exists but Nintendo is sitting on a gold mine with all the GB games they have and it wouldn't take much to release one a week. One person saying that on their own will not change anything but if there is enough demand any company will take note of it. There's no guarantee they'll act but there is a chance. If people feel something should be supported, say something because if nothing is said you can be positive that nothing will change. That's all I was saying, but trying to have a reasonable discussion with Nintendo fanboys without being attacked is like trying to talk to a brick wall. Unfortunately this place is full of fanboys but there are some here who are just gamers who rightly feel Nintendo should make better use of the 3DS VC and I hope those people don't shut up about how poorly NoA has handled it. I won't say Nintendo as a whole has done a bad job because it seems like the European and Japanese branches actually do care about their consumers.

@dark-insanity Another thing, seeing how on Nintendo's Website Sudoku by Nikoli is coming out as a 3DSWare next week, Kirby's block ball may not even be on the shop because of that. Though I certainly hope it is, or at least Zelda (Hence my Avatar). I'm just curious on why so many people are saying it's going to come out next week. Is there a site it was posted on so I can see for myself? Just having it organized in the coming soon section isn't a 100% guaranteed confirmation, as I recall the sudoku game being the last entry in the coming soon section before the system update. Though then again, I don't recall any of the other games coming out on DSIware later like Cat frenzy even being on the section, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Kirby comes next week.

We will just wait and see.
