My personal favorite will always be gen 2 but I am the first to admit that it's probably my nostalgia speaking. Still, the games have a lot of epic moments like the final battle, fighting side by side with Siegfried...beating milktank after 200 tries. Objectively (as much as that is possible) B&W (2) probably is the correct choice. Sword and Shield was horrible.
Not my type of game. The combat look pretty convoluted and I just can't get behind the writing style. But very happy for everyone who loves it! Seems to be a great game.
@Kevember I mean..there is a reason why Nintendo basically had to rescue the brand after the first game. It's a niche game...even if that niche is relatively big.
Looks good. Not sure how I feel about all the characters. I really hope they don't pull a DMC4 / MGS2 with Viola. She doesn't look nearly as cool as Bayonetta.
Sorry but that comment just screams "Not made by Nintendo therefore I have to find ways to justify why it shouldn't have won"...pretty well illustrated by the fact that you only chose Nintendo games as positive examples.
It Takes Two is an awesome family game. My sister and wife loved it even though they pretty much play nothing else.
@sanderev Games aren't announced when the first line of code is written though. Ad the fact that we haven't even seen gameplay yet doesn't inspire much confidence. I think it's fair to say that B3 probably had a troubled development so far.
Is this just a laziness thing?
When I decided to get a Series X I had to wait 3 weeks before I found a regular offer in a big online shop for the regular price.
And I barely put any effort into the search....so definitely not worth a 100% markup.
At this point I feel they just buy anything that might be in high demand and hope for the best. I somehow can't see the OLED-Model being sold out months after launch.
I am not a COD fan...but Activision has 3 studios working on the IP rotating through the different titles.
So development time per title is more 3 years than 1 year which is a relatively healthy development timeline in todays industry.
I'll wait for the reviews.
I dont really mind the 2(.5)D (Rayman Origins/Legends have taught me that lesson)...but I am not having much faith in Sakamoto.
If it's great I might buy it later...not like the new Prime game is just around the corner.
Meh....I am typically not hung up on technical details but when a game can't hit at least 30fps mostly consistent I am out. I got little problems with glitches or even occasional stutters but after watching some gameplay videos I don't feel like paying money to get a headache.
I also really, really don't get the 'part of the charm' thing. I can understand retro graphics, low-poly models, weird voice-acting and so on as part of a games appeal...but saying that single-digit framerate is part of the charm to me sounds like saying watching a movie with the projector shutting off every other minute would be a pleasant experience.
Thanks for the video....now I know I definetly wont pick up the game. Not only does the interface looks clunky...it also looks really boring. Like...really, really boring.
@the8thark
Hm, well..I dont know. As I said, I am not super into JRPGs anyway and after all the positive hype I heard it kinda sounds like the most typical (probably in the best way) JRPG now. Cool world, friendship speeches, long playtime, animal sidekicks and clunky combat interfaces with too many numbers and systems. I think Ill wait until it gets cheaper. Not to talk poo though...I am sure its great for those who love it!
I dont know....I was tempted to try it, but when I heard about the unintuitive and overdesigned combat and interface and the trope-rich story and characters I didnt really feel like playing it anymore. Maybe when it gets cheaper. To be honest though: I thought the same about most JRPGs.
@WebHead The lesson I would take from that statement, if I would be a developer/publisher is not "make better games" but "dont make games for Nintendo". Nintendo is in no position to "not tolerate" anything from third-parties...they can be lucky if they get them on board at all.
@MarvinTheMartian That really has nothing to do with my point. If Nintendo wants to produce a mainstream gaming plattform on par (saleswise) with the XBone or PS they need games like COD, FIFA or AC. No matter how many awesome Zelda or Mario titles, for a lot of gamers having no access to their favorite 3d party franchise means that they consider a console a second buy at best. This has nothing to do with being a "Nintendo-System". The game-market is far less brand-driven (hardwarewise) than people think. People switched from Nintendo to Sony (PS1-2) to Microsoft (XBox 360) to Sony (PS4). But to convince people to switch having 3party franchises is extremely important. Good news though: Its nothing too complicated. If Nintendo can build an easy to use architecture and competeitive hardware-sets, 3parties will port their games cause it takes little effort. The problem is that for the WiiU the effort is just too big (because of the 2nd screen, the non-x86-architecture and the low specs).
Sorry, but I completely disagree with the 3rd party section. FIFA is one of the best selling games every year and I know a ton of people who buy every iteration and who definetely wont buy a plattform that does not provide them with a yearly update. Same goes for games like COD or AC... I dont play those games, but many, many, many people do regularly and if Nintendo wants to have a competeitive plattform (not a secondary console) to Sony and MS, they need to have those titles in their library every year (and not a late, gimped port). Those games do make or break a plattform... and no matter how many awesome 1st party games N provides, without them they will never be a true competitor to te XBox or PS.

It's so good...I haven't been able to put it down the entire weekend.
It's kicking my ass though...still fighting my way through Stormveil Castle.

Re: Dying Light Platinum Edition Dated, Dying Light 2: Stay Human - Cloud Version Confirmed
@Picola-Wicola
Means that the game is streamed (kinda like watching a YouTube video) instead of being rendered on the Switch hardware.

Is that a joke? The English audio is the original one...

Re: Bayonetta's Voice Actor Isn't So Sure About Her Future In The Role
Miyamoto probably said they should focus less on the story so now 3 is being rebooted with no VA and only toads as characters. Sexy toads though....

Re: Poll: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
Nope.
I am happy for everyone who loves it but I disliked the original and I don't expect the remake to change anything about that.

Nope.
Not interested in a puzzle/adventure game dressed up as an rpg.
Looks fun though for those who like the style.
