I refuse to believe that you become the other sex. All you've done is removed the reproductive organs and replaced them with other reproductive organs. Human beings are more than just reproductive organs. In fact, if you really want to change your sex, you would need to remove several bones (the pelvic bone, for example) and have that replaced because male and female pelvic bones are actually shaped so differently, that you can tell when someone is a male or a female just by looking at the bones. In general, you'd have to completely change the body (blood, DNA, chromosomes) to become the opposite sex. So, I'd say its possible to become the other sex... I don't think that's what's happening with current sex change operations.
Having hair, for one. Not being white, for another. What would separate someone the most, however, is that the person's ideology doesn't match up with that of a Nazis ideology. The great thing about being humans is that humans aren't monolithic. We are individuals. That's why we don't call Ilhan Omar a memeber of the KKK after she got praised by David Duke.
Actually no. I'm saying you should be allowed to say things consequence free, because if you're punished for it than it wasn't free.
If you're saying that I'm agreeing with you, then you're saying that being punished for following a religion is acceptable, and I don't think it is. You shouldn't be punished for things you are free to do.
@nessisonett Huh? So, gay pride is okay, but straight pride is not? Well, that's just great. And what the hell do you mean, "appeal to ridicule." I was watching CNN a while ago, and Don Lemon straight up said that straight, white, Conservative men are the greatest terror threat in this country... I don't know about you, but that sounds like he's trying to ridicule a group of people to me. Calling all heterosexuals rapists, sounds like ridicule to me. Calling all whites racist sounds like ridicule to me.
Did you read it? I said that telling a group of people that they are allowed to follow any religion they want but aren't free from consequences of following that religion, sounds very hateful.
I'm telling you to apply this same set of logic (you have freedom but not from the consequences of that freedom) to other things. Take gay rights. Are you free to be gay, but not free from the consequences of being gay? Are you free to be trans, but not free from the consequences of being trans. Are you free to be Christian (or Easter-Worshippers as they're being called now.... I didn't know they've been worshipping easter this whole time). I'd like you to go to Sri-Lanka, and tell those who were recently attacked that that's the consequences they face for believing in Christianity (or Easter-Worshippness).
@SBandy Can you explain what that means to me? I notice a lot of people saying it. "You have freedom of speech, but not freedom from the consequences of your speech."
There should't be consequences... that's why its called free speech. If you're getting punished for it, then it wasn't free.
Let's also apply this same set of logic to another right. Let's say a series of Muslims are killed in an attack, and you say, "you're free to believe whatever religion you want, but you're not free from the consequences of following that religion." Doesn't sound so good anymore, does it? In fact, it now seems like a bigoted and hateful thing to say.
I tried playing for fun with casuals before. I blocked their attacks, and they told me that I was cheating. They said that blocking isn't allowed.
Then, one of them would always pick Kirby. The guy would do the same thing every time. Jump as high into the sky as he could go, then do the rock move.... To which, I would just move out of the way, and get a free grab. He kept complaining that I was moving away from it. Apparently, he wanted me to stand there and get hit by it. He actually believes that I was supposed to be stupid, and do absolutely nothing about the blatant rock attack that he was going for.
Then, they all kept doing the same thing. They would all stand still and wait for me. So, I would simply walk over to them, and they all responded by rolling at me.... rolling right in front of me... where I could easily grab them. So, I would grab them. I would attack. I would wait for them to roll, and that get free attacks on them. Once again, they called it cheating. For some reason, they believe that rolling was supposed to make them invincible well after the roll is complete. Don't know why they thought that.
So, I was done playing with casuals after that. They expected me to stand there and way to get hit. They thought they were going to spam a move that leaves them open to get hit, and not get hit. I was done with casual play after that.
What? No way! A Smash Brothers game that's successful? I was expecting this to bomb completely. How the hell did they manage to sell this game? It was practically guaranteed to be a massive failure.
@BenAV Yeah. They promoted the living out of this game. Remember how they showed up at E3 and talked about nothing but this game all day? Or how about when Nintendo's surprise announcement at the recent game awards was about this game? Yeah. Promoted the living out of it.
I think I know more, because here's the thing. The people who are offended are not Native Americans. They are rich, entitled college kids who know little to nothing about Native Americans. They think Elizabeth Warren is a Native American.
I've never seen one casual player that said, "This is too technical. I'm quitting this game." I'm pretty sure the casual players left once Brawl came out... and then left Brawl when Smash 4 came out... and will leave Smash 4 when Ultimate comes out. The casual crowd will play whatever the latest Smash game is.
"Before the announcement of the switch move, everybody agreed that Yooka-Laylee looked fabulous."
Everybody??? Like... everybody? I mean, there're seven billion people out there. I'm pretty sure someone, at least one of them, didn't think it looked "fabulous." I remember not thinking it looked fabulous. I thought it looked okay, and so far nothing about it looks fabulous. It looks like exactly what it is. The people who made Banjo Kazooie going and making another game like it.
I guess if over 60 million Americans are all racists because they voted for a white person instead of......... another... white person.... then yeah, EVERYBODY could have thought this game looked fabulous. Especially if a lot of those racist 60 million Americans put a brotha' into the highest position possible in this country. Or is it that racist has become a gender, and it's something people can transition between? Is transracist now a thing?
@PipeGuy64Bit I grew up in mostly black areas, and I got targeted by blacks a lot growing up. When I mentioned this to a black lives matter supporter, he told me that I should be angry at white people, not black people, because if the white people weren't horrible to black people, black people would be caring and loving to everybody.
@Tupin Apparently it is okay. I don't see an apology video or anybody demanding consequences.
I grew up in mostly black communities, and those black folk would constantly tell me that I was supposed to think and feel a certain way (a negative way) because of my race. Does that make them racists?
@brandonbwii "but so many of their arguments boil down to "it's just their way." What is someone supposed to say to that"
What the hell does that even mean? I have never heard a conservative say, "it's just their way," and this is the first time I've ever heard anybody say that their argument boils down to, "it's just their way."
"It's not like the right is trying to find a solution to these problems"
Propose a solution then. I've heard a lot of complaining about wanting a solution to historic problems but how do you do that.
Take my people for example. My people's country was invaded by the Spaniards, and the males were murdered, females forced to be sex slaves, and the children were indoctrinated into following Spanish cultures and customs. Now, hundreds of years later, my people's country is a third-well mess that faces, and immigrants to the US from that country face racism from all angles - mostly the African American community. So, what's the solution to this problem?
@Haru17 Yeah, that makes sense. Because it's the Conservatives that are trying to tell nobody else they can talk. The democrats and liberals certainly aren't the ones that are trying to tell people they're not allowed to speak.
@Tupin No. I said that if he said it about whites, it would he would be regarded as a hero for it. The real question is, why isn't he being called a hero for saying it about blacks?
@Ralizah I like that you say you're just going to let people battle it out, but openly say that one side is racist. Good job at not jumping into the fray.
@faint Well, if you work at BioWare, it seems you get to be a lead developer on a AAA title from a beloved franchise for saying that kind of stuff. And you get to say that stuff for four years.
@faint Well, we'll take a look at the violent crime statistics to see how that holds up. Or let's take a look at a black lives matters protest video. Certainly won't find any videos of them chanting about wanting people dead.
That being said, if he said that white people were genetically predisposed to violence, nobody would have even mentioned. He probably would have been honored as a true American hero for the statement.
@Lizuka I got labelled as a racist recently by a Liberal. He told me I was a racist for saying that I wanted to keep all Muslims out of the country. But guess what. I never said that.
So no. I don't think he was called a racist because he's a racist. I think he was called a racist because that's what democrats and liberals do these days.
@Fooligan It is bad. That's why I find it weird that a company like BioWare was so comfortable (and still is) with being associated with a guy like Manveer Heir.

It is "magic" indeed, because "magic" isn't actually real.

Okay... let's change it. You believe that people should face consequences for following a religion. I don't agree with that.

@SBandy Out of context... yes.
In context however, I'm pointing out that your logic (punishing people for doing things they have the freedom to do) is wrong and hateful.
