Any more of this inane trash and my horoscope will become very predictable indeed: it will feature me walking into Game to trade-in Wii against a new PS3 slim.
Great feature/interview, for a superb game. I'm so grateful that talented coders/artists are still making stuff like this. The beat series and space giraffe pc have been highlights of my gaming year. All power to the 'bedroom' codeshop!
The only possible downer is that the original development team, Clover, were paid off by Capcom and are now doing other stuff as Platinum Games. But hopefully the Capcom in-house team can do this wonderful game justice on DS.
@KDR_11k: What?! Good value for people who want to export stuff from the UK, then, but makes not a lick of difference to those stuck with earning/spending this lousy currency in its country of origin.
I think that the undecided consumer may see the Wii at £200 and the fancy new PS3 at £250 and think, hey, I'll stump the extra (I think I would)...and it would serve NoE right.
@Roopa: I suggest that the £/euro exchange rate has changed since the first days when the Wii was on sale, but anyway I agree Europe as a whole gets bummed.
Couldn't Nintendo take the hit from their more than somewhat impressive profits rather than screwing UK customers - who always get the poor end of the stick price-wise?
The 'reason' presumably is to make a simple graphical comparison based on raw processing power and not the success of the consoles or indeed gaming merits. In which case, the Wii deserves to be represented by a lawnmower.
I just finished the PC version, which was excellent. And more than somewhat frightening. (Don't remember any of the 'young ladies' being terrorized that the writer mentions, though?!) Lousy 'giveaway'. Code for an in-game feature that's unlocked in-game?!
Superb game. Just beaten it on DS. So wonderfully inventive and innovative in terms of plot and characterization, and without the dreary grind and random battles that plague many other J-rpgs. Terrific music, too.
@ Corbie: it may be supereasy to get through, but getting through with a full complement of coins, red coins and sunflowers for a perfect score in each level is a different matter.
There's some interesting stuff in Sean Aaron's Japanese list. Really hope, in a pervy kind of way, that Pole's Big Adventure and Muscle March get released outside Japan. Can't see it happening though.

Re: Muramasa: The Demon Blade Armory Trailer
I'm guessing from all these trailers there must be a lingerie store somewhere in the game as well?
Re: Data East Arcade Classics Coming to Wii
Mmmm...Burger Time. AKA Mr Wimpy, at least as it was ripped off on my old C64. Classic.
Re: Bomberman Blast: Battlefest Coming to WiiWare
Hope they fix the online and make it possible to rein in the power-ups a bit.
(You can use Miis in Bomberman Blast, by the way.)
Re: Gaijin Games Announces BIT.TRIP VOID
@Supermarioman: cheer up, they're still available you know...

I hope the winter theme points to a winter release.

Re: Square Enix Drops Some Darklord DLC On Its PALs
On first reading headline could've sworn it said 'Squeenix drops some dark LOAD'. I'm sure this was only an accidental allusion by the author...?!
Re: Nintendo Download: Bonsai Barber, The Revenge of Shinobi and City Transport Maps (EU)
Can't wait for the transport map reviews, hope they're as perversely rivetting as the clock reviews were.
Re: Dragon Quest IX: 3.5 Million Served
No random battles, or so I heard! Hooray!!!

Re: Brand New Wacky World of Sports Screens
Anything that has to call itself 'wacky' is trying too hard.

Re: Nintendo Sales Drop as Global Economy Goes Down the Crapper
I think Nintendo should charge us more for stuff to see them through the bad times, especially us in the UK.
Re: First Video of myNotebook
"Congratulations, you have unlocked a new paper type!"
The awesomeness...it might just break the internet, this!!!
Re: Tales of Monkey Island Coming to WiiWare on Monday
@james st3
that's correct. bear in mind 1000 points buys you 1/5th of a game and £7 buys u a stone-cold genre-defining classic.
Re: Tales of Monkey Island Coming to WiiWare on Monday
too expensive. will get Secret HD for 7 quid instead.
Re: Nicalis and Nigoro Join Forces
Hope this new venture means Cave Story release in imminent.
(When they originally said April, I note they didn't specify the year...)
Re: Nintendo Download: Kirby's Dream Land 3, Twinbee, ColorZ, Heracles and Sudoku (EU)

Re: Review: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (WiiWare)
nice review. what with swords and soldiers, v satisfying to see some solid strategy gaming on wiiware.
and to all the plants v zombies fans, this game is the same...but different. more complex. pvz remains the ultimate tower defence game tho, i think.
Re: First Impressions: Japanese Nintendo Channel Update
Does it still take up some 500 blocks (including save file?)

Re: Gaijin Games Releases BIT.TRIP Teaser
Bit.Trip.Bug?
Re: Review: Incoming! (WiiWare)

Re: Fan-made Mother 3 Handbook Freely Available To Read

Re: Review: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (WiiWare)
Square-Enix sure know how to milk a fanbase. 3700 points for game + sidequests is nothing short of a pisstake, I think.
Re: Miyamoto Keeps Check On The Opposition
@Muzer. Indeed! What calibre of company would stoop so low as to release fractionally-improved iterations of their hardware?!
Re: Miyamoto Keeps Check On The Opposition
If it wasn't so expensive I'd snap one up in a flash.
