I hope the winter theme points to a winter release.

The only possible downer is that the original development team, Clover, were paid off by Capcom and are now doing other stuff as Platinum Games. But hopefully the Capcom in-house team can do this wonderful game justice on DS.

@KDR_11k: What?! Good value for people who want to export stuff from the UK, then, but makes not a lick of difference to those stuck with earning/spending this lousy currency in its country of origin.

I think that the undecided consumer may see the Wii at £200 and the fancy new PS3 at £250 and think, hey, I'll stump the extra (I think I would)...and it would serve NoE right.

@Roopa: I suggest that the £/euro exchange rate has changed since the first days when the Wii was on sale, but anyway I agree Europe as a whole gets bummed.

Couldn't Nintendo take the hit from their more than somewhat impressive profits rather than screwing UK customers - who always get the poor end of the stick price-wise?

The 'reason' presumably is to make a simple graphical comparison based on raw processing power and not the success of the consoles or indeed gaming merits. In which case, the Wii deserves to be represented by a lawnmower.

I just finished the PC version, which was excellent. And more than somewhat frightening. (Don't remember any of the 'young ladies' being terrorized that the writer mentions, though?!) Lousy 'giveaway'. Code for an in-game feature that's unlocked in-game?!

On first reading headline could've sworn it said 'Squeenix drops some dark LOAD'. I'm sure this was only an accidental allusion by the author...?!

Superb game. Just beaten it on DS. So wonderfully inventive and innovative in terms of plot and characterization, and without the dreary grind and random battles that plague many other J-rpgs. Terrific music, too.

I think Nintendo should charge us more for stuff to see them through the bad times, especially us in the UK.

that's correct. bear in mind 1000 points buys you 1/5th of a game and £7 buys u a stone-cold genre-defining classic.

too expensive. will get Secret HD for 7 quid instead.

There's some interesting stuff in Sean Aaron's Japanese list. Really hope, in a pervy kind of way, that Pole's Big Adventure and Muscle March get released outside Japan. Can't see it happening though.
