Re: Feature: The Growing Pains of Curation on the Nintendo Switch eShop

Mario Kart 8 is forever locked on my WiiU. It can't be transferred to the Switch.
Xenoblade and X are also locked on the system.

So many 1st party games downloaded and unable to be transferred to the new system is what I mean by being burned. Especially now that the new Mario Kart is just the same as the previous game with new DLC included.

We know that the new things in it, which isn't all that much was going to be WiiU MK8 dlc. However they just decided to port over everything on to the Switch.

What an idiot!
Lets go back to the WiiU...
Any and every not broken or gimped 3rd party game that was multi-platform and on the WiiU sold the best on the WiiU

Also, we know he is lying because EVERY other studio has said that the Switch is very, very similar to the HD Twins when having to port a game. So him saying that it is vastly different is just a bold-faced lie.

Just say that you don't want to work with Nintendo and you'd earn more respect than you are by spouting off lies!

This guy is just a joke!

There was no set finishing order in SMK.
I know DS, Wii,WiiU has them.
And it really sucks.
I can use a blue shell on a character and pass by them, hit them with normal shells and other crap and no matter what, they are still right there in the same place.

Another thing that sucks with 8...
Red shells fly...
You go through a section where you fly/glide for a good distance and if the shell was let off on the actual track, it follows you through the cannon or anything else.
And, of couse it hits you in mid-air.

They need to go old school with MK9
Thinner tracks, more laps, no flying shells, no bikes, no ble shell, random AI, not programmed. Skill, not luck based. Better/random item distrobution. I don't want coins when I'm in First, I want a shell so I can cover my ass! Literally!

@Eric258 Iwata had some good ideas but they were vastly outweighed by his bad ones.
He regressed Nintendo, not pushed them forward.
I've been with Nintendo since the NES days.
They've always been about advancement. Until the Wii. The Wii could have had the morion controls as well as being a powerful console. But he decided to go cheap. And again, they pushed revolutionary tech but with an outdated system with the WiiU.

Don't get me wrong, I love my WiiU but it could have been so much more.

The Wii should NEVER have been a 7 year system! Hell, 4 years would have been good!

Nintendo is now in catch-up mode.

Here's hoping that the Switch can put them back on track.

The follow-up to the switch needs to take the concept and expand on it.

Backwards compatible, full 4k though actually at the time when the Switch follow up comes along, we'll be at 8k standard TV, so it needs to be an 8k ssytem.

It needs a bigger, stronger screen.
It needs both mobile and stationary development houses working on it. Nintendo can not have another split house. No more portable line and separate home line. Everyone needs to develop for the system.

@VENOMVSCARNAGE
Resident Evil 4 did not sell many systems.
You seem to have forgotten that it wasn't supposed to be a timed exclusive.
CapCom made a deal with Ninty to make 6 games fornthe Cube that wouldn't be available anywhere else, ever.
Well, that failed. Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil became multi-platform because ALL THE PS2 female dogged and moaned about them being on a nintendo system. They complained so much that capcom didn't even fulfill the 6 game contract on the Cube.

The PS3 was not the most powerful system that Gen, it was the 360. That's why the games all ran better on that system vs the PS3.
Look at GTA5, Skyrim and a few others, way less issues on the 360 than the ps3.
