@AceSpadeS If you think Sony has done a great deal for the gaming industry, you're not a gamer. You're a pretender. Sony could die tomorrow and it would be no big loss. In fact it could even be a good thing. It would send the industry a message: no more clone games, no more DRM, and no to high prices.
@SanderEvers I don't want everyone to speak English dude. I just find it funny that people are so quick to suggest switching over to metric whereas someone suggesting switching to English is usually considered going too far when it's really the same concept.
@MagicEmperor lol Language has little to do with race. Living in America, we should know that better than anyone.
@Magi Not many console gamers are conscious about DRM. I'm talking about things like SecuROM, PSN, and Sony's latest endeavor. It's seems like anything that keeps you from playing your games--Sony has a hand in it. And $199 certainly wasn't PS3's starting price. A console should be affordable right from the start, not years later. Overpricing consoles is something Sony is still doing with the PS Vita (it costs more than you paid for your discounted PS3 and that's before you add a proprietary memory card into the mix). Maybe in a few more years when they cut the price it will start selling. That is, if anyone wants one at all.
@Bankai Well there you go. Only people with deep pockets should be allowed to play.
There's really no need for anyone to get too worked up about it. If people want the game enough it will sell at a high price. If not that's when it's time to drop the price in an attempt to persuade uninterested gamers to buy it. And if some developers can't profit from their game that's just the way it goes. No one is entitled to success.
@sweetiepiejonus Yeah, it's really no inconvenience to stop off at Wal*Mart on they way home from work. I don't see how gas prices would justify a higher cost for digital games either, it's not like I have free internet service.
It's a bad idea for consumers to buy digital games at full retail prices. You lose a lot more than it's worth in the trade off. The low prices are the only reason why people buy digital at all--it's not some silly trend. We're saving money.
@Peppy_Hare What I'm saying is a lot of us bought many of these games the first time around when they were in retail stores. They've already made their profits. By charging us for retro digital downloads companies like Sony and Nintendo are double dipping into our wallets. It's become commonplace. A lot of you guys are potentially getting upset over something that has been going on for awhile now.
@Peppy_Hare Repurchasing titles for the luxury of playing them on the VC or 3DS VC is already a crime in progress. (I'm onto you Nintendo.) Repurchasing games to play on Wii U really wouldn't be any different. Although it would certainly make the Nintendo Network less attractive to loyal Wii owners.
I just hope it's better than the disappointing Dark Cloud. I'm sure not everyone is familiar with that game because there were so many other disappointing games to choose from on the PS2.
I'm already sold on the Wii U. It's easily the next console I'm going to own unless Microsoft or Valve does something unexpected to blow me away. But for now I already have a lot of games on 3DS and PC that I want to finish before I buy any new hardware. Game overload, man.
@Usagi-san Well maybe fans will get lucky and WayForward will make the next 3DS Castlevania. Then Simon can hug it out with Dracula at the end. It seems a little out of place to me, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.
@DarkCoolEdge People upset with boobs going public at the Superbowl doesn't baffle me. America considers it wrong to mix sex with children. It might be different where you're from. Those crazy cultural divides.
@Usagi-san Depends on the game. But I'd say fighting to put an end to Dracula (the personification of evil) constitutes fighting for a cause.
I think most of us were afraid it wouldn't have enough content to justify the price tag. Too bad. I think Nintendo Life's eShop suggestion (try saying that 3 times fast) was the way to go.
The princess is a full head taller than everyone. I guess they could have shortened her if they wanted to shoehorn her into the game without compromising gameplay.
I see Analysts are still lumping Sony and Microsoft together like they're the same thing. It's Sony that needs to find an identity and stop copying their competitors.
People still play GTA? It's similar to Mortal Combat in the fact that once you get over the shock value you realize there are WAY better games out there and move on.

Re: Capcom Comments On Monster Hunter 4 Vita Rumours
@CanisWolfred It's not trolling, it's the truth, and it takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him. I'm impressed.

Re: Capcom Comments On Monster Hunter 4 Vita Rumours
@Rei7 65+ games, but not 65+ good games. It's fun to make believe though.
Re: Capcom Comments On Monster Hunter 4 Vita Rumours
Poor delusional Vita owners. The truth hurts doesn't it? Although anyone still buying Sony products has probably gotten numb to it by now.
Re: Sony and Kevin Butler Actor Settle Lawsuit Over Wii Appearance
Don't worry about consumer confusion, Sony. Any consumers in the market for Playstations are already confused.
Re: Talking Point: The Future Role of High Street Games Retailers
It would be a shame to see all retail gaming stores close down. Buying used games online has become too unreliable.

@Bass_X0 I've always felt that way about the world and the English language.
Re: Amazon Instant Video App Hits The Wii Today In North America
@Svengoolie Clone games are never the best.
@Splat I don't hate Sony. I hate mediocre games, DRM, and $600 consoles. I guess that's kind of the same thing as hating Sony though.
Re: Amazon Instant Video App Hits The Wii Today In North America
@bezerker99 Of course. Sony needs to do everything they can to distract people from the games they make.
Re: Satoru Iwata: Customers Understanding The Wii U "Will Take a Little Time"
@ThatTrueEvil I'm diabetic.
Re: Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 Will Be Download-Only In Europe
@Bankai I wasn't arguing. Now if you'll excuse me this PS Vita ain't gonna play itself, although I wish it would so I wouldn't have to.

Re: Feature: Pokémon X & Y - What We Know So Far
I know if the critics don't give this game a 9 or a 10 they better prepare for trouble... and make it double.
Re: Platinum Games' Hideki Kamiya: Bayonetta eShop Release Down To SEGA Or Nintendo
Better that SEGA be the one to do something about it. If it's up to Ninty we're looking at a $59.99 digital price tag.

Re: Data Analyst Firm Expects Discs to Remain as Console Mainstays
So the Wii U won't sell as well as the Wii but it will sell better than the SNES, N64, and GameCube did. Sounds about right.

Re: Professor Layton And The Azran Legacies Release Date Solved For Japan
@Hokori I was only joking dude. Things like PS Vita don't end, they die.
Re: The Gold Nunchuk Shines Again on Club Nintendo
You only need to buy and register six Wii U consoles and it's all yours FREE.
Re: Professor Layton And The Azran Legacies Release Date Solved For Japan
Wow. Professor Layton and the PS Vita are ending in 2013. This is going to be a big year.

Re: Nvidia Unveils the Daunting Project Shield
It's an ugly console, but having a pure Android device and being able to play your existing STEAM games on the go are both good things.
@SheldonRandoms Leave it at home next to your 3DS XL.

@DarkCoolEdge Violence is as necessary a part of life as anything. You don't think there are things in this world worth fighting for?

@WaveBoy It's not completely different. Symphony of the Night had topless action.
Re: Castlevania: Mirror Of Fate Contains Eye-Stabbing, Werewolf Appendages And Topless Action
Eye-stabbing werewolf appendages? Did I read that right? I better turn the 3-D off.
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (3DS eShop / NES)
This is the first Mario game I've played where I'd rather be the Goomba.
Re: Best of 2012: Staff Awards
I'm glad the Wii U comes with an HDMI cable as standard. The latest reiteration of the PS3 still doesn't have one.

Mega Man Legends was one of the worst things to ever happen to Mega Man. Capcom did you all a favor last year.
Re: UK Press Pins Blame For Sandy Hook Massacre On Video Games
@Shworange History is boring, leave him alone.
@DestinyMan Guns don't kill people, people who play Dynasty Warriors kill people.
Re: UK Press Pins Blame For Sandy Hook Massacre On Video Games
Maybe if he owned better video games he wouldn't have been so angry. Anyone stuck with Dynasty Warriors is a ticking time bomb if you ask me.
Re: Review: James Bond: 007 Legends (Wii U)
Eurocom's latest 007 is a by-the-numbers Call of Duty clone? Well at least they're keeping with tradition.
Re: Unchained Blades Coming To North American 3DS eShop In The New Year
Hmm... I paid $7.50 to download Deus Ex Human Revolution, about $10 for Witcher 2, and I think less than $5 for Fallout 3.
$30 for Unchained Blades? Something is rotten on the 3DS, and I'm not just talking about Theatrhythm.
Re: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Now Available For Free On iOS
Square Enix tends to overprice all their downloadable content. It's something they have in common with Nintendo.
Re: New Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Teaser Site Opens
I'm sure Theatrhythm was made with a tablet in mind. At least that would explain why it wasn't fun to play.

Re: If Nintendo Ever Made A Mature Zelda, This Is What It Would Look Like

@sinalefa I don't remember gigantic breasts bouncing out of control in Metroid Other M either. Talk about a missed opportunity.
Re: TVii Application Won't Be Available On Wii U Launch
I miss when consoles came all ready for you. Now we get to look forward to periodically updating them from day one. Maybe a PC really is enough?
