Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd November 2010 (North America)

@NabucaCPM Yeah, our community is pretty sweet.

I thought these demos were better than the last batch because most of them didn't automatically spit you out into the Wii Shop Channel after they ended. AYIM was really cool. I want to know how it stacks up to Fluidity before I buy it.

Re: Review: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (Wii)

Disappointing is an understatement. If EA wants to be lazy why not just Wiimake Burnout 3 Takedown and call it good. I wonder if I'll ever see a real Criterion Games racer on the Wii now? @WaltzElf EA doesn't love the Wii either though does it?

Re: GoldenEye's Success "Proves Core Games Sell on Wii"

Gamesake

@xDemon720x Trust your instincts.

@Ian_Daemon Anyone who's watched the Activision teaser trailers for GoldenEye can't deny their marketing plan to hype this game off of Rare's past success. But it wouldn't be doing so well if it wasn't also a good game.

Re: If Donkey Kong Country Returns is Too Hard, Use Super Guide

Gamesake

@LightSamus "not for casual gamers"? -I think Nintendo telling it's base not to buy their stuff could be a problem for them.

And if anyone wants to protest the Super Guide you can buy Sonic Colors. Reviewers have said it can be frustratingly difficult and there is no way to skip levels.

Re: Review: TrackMania (Wii)

I say lads, this racing game looks smashing, but I'm manic over how long I've been waiting for it. Now I'm more snashter on Need for Speed:Hot Pursuit. I don't know if it'll be online but I'm sure playing it will be just as fun on my billy tod.

Re: Nintendo Power Claims Sonic 4: Episode 1 Will Cost 1500 Points

Gamesake

1500 Wii points wasn't unexpected and it's not price gouging. As for the episodic content-I'm not a fan, but it didn't stop anyone from buying Final Fantasy the After Years or SBCGFAP, and it won't stop them this time. Don't hold your breath for a Wii disc release because it isn't coming. If there was a $50 disc version everyone would buy it used or on clearance but a WiiWare price is set in stone. That's good business.

Re: Super Mario Bros. was Gaming's Big Bang, says Kojima

Gamesake

@lockelocke Thanks for the link. I'm not surprised I've never heard of the "video game crash" they should instead call it the "death of Atari". Doesn't every system usually tank at the 5 year mark? Nowadays isn't that what makes a company market a new system like 8 bit to 16 bit, 16 bit to 32 bit, and so on?

Re: Metroid 64 Was This Close to Existing

Gamesake

They didn't know where to start with a 3d Metroid so it's a good thing they didn't. It would have been a bad game. Just look at Castlevania 64. Not every game has made the transition from 2d to 3d as easy as Mario.

Re: Super Mario Bros. was Gaming's Big Bang, says Kojima

Gamesake

@SilverBlacktail Great Video Game Crash? What are you talking about? Mr. Kojima is just doing a bit of hero worship for Nintendo's Birthday. Mario isn't responsible for inventing video games, or saving video games, it didn't even make video games what they are today. If it wasn't for steady competition forcing Nintendo to evolve they would still be making 8-bit adventures right now. The Virtual Console is their dream come true.

Re: Review: Enjoy Your Massage! (WiiWare)

Gamesake

I come from a long line of Massage Therapists. I've heard some crazy stories. They should have made this game more outrageous AND more educational. Just like Endless Ocean; you could have rubbed people to learn their information and try to avoid potential predators like Al Gore.

Re: Monsters Smash Robots in Monsteca Corral from August 16th

Gamesake

@accc "PSX graphics?" Yeah, maybe. Except if this was on PSX the loading would be 20x longer than any of us remember and everything on the horizon would be completely black. I'm not excited for this, but with Wiiware's limited file size I wouldn't expect anything too ambitious.
