Re: 3DS Ambassador Game Boy Advance Games Revealed

GameLord08

@tendoboy - Have you forgotten the unfortunate moment where early 3DS owners paid approximately £70 more than now when the console was first released, nine months back? It's not a waste; they got that extra money back then.

Not to say they shouldn't put these on the eShop to get more sales, but still, analyse things a little carefully first.

Re: Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Wii)

GameLord08

@6ch6ris6 - Well, seeing as IGN's reviewers are biased gamers who believe it all lies in the PS3/360, it isn't surprising they'd give a high-ranking FPS like this on the Wii a score like that. In my opinion, CoD just really shouldn't be on the Wii, it just devastates the whole purpose of Nintendo.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Plans to Fight Back

I believe the Wii is dead. The eighth generation has been embraced, and this is the beginning of another era of gaming. Sony and Microsoft may try to "prolong" the lives of their respective home consoles, but really, all those have their expiration dates stamped on to them. At least Nintendo realises that a change is to be made, and I think the Wii U is a good example of Nintendo's thinking of this, despite the negative criticism. Nintendo is constantly trying to be ahead, and if you ask me, they're doing it. People may say that their contribution has come too early in this department and their hardware is only just stepping up to some parts of the PS3 and 360; true, but other features of the Wii U show innovation of the future. Sony and Microsoft, where the hell are you with your competition?

The 3DS has been revolutionising to handheld gaming so far. And they're also bringing back classic titles, BAM. Revamped and modern. But, I shall admit, it does face rigid competition from the PS Vita, and this is coming from someone who has never embraced Sony before. This doesn't mean all hope is lost though. This just means that an interesting battle is to commence between the two.

The only company to not embrace this new generation is Microsoft. They seem to be dead in the water. Nintendo has the 3DS and the Wii U, so they're clearly ahead. Sony isn't far behind with the Vita, but you, Microsoft? Where's your challenge?

This is gaming blasphemy.

Now I seriously expect a 3DS Lite version coming out sooner, contrary to what Nintendo put our minds at ease with.

And for Monster Hunter? A secret weapon? Heck, I'm not going to get that junk just to get this 'weapon'.

Re: Share Your Own Stages Online in Tekken Wii U

I'm absolutely sold on this fighter! Probably only getting the Wii U version, but the future will tell. I do love the character customisation and stage creation features. This shall be excellent.

Plus I must start devising plans of what to draw on the n00b-opponents' faces when this game is out. Awesome use of Wii U controller. :3

Re: First Impressions: Nintendo Wii U

GameLord08

Thanks muchly for the impressions, Corbs. I admire how unbiased it came off.

After readin these impressions, I, personally, only have a few concerns;

Circle Pads and Button Feel - Two circle pads? How can we put those in use simultaneously? Are they really that soft? The DS Lite buttons are perfect to me, and I can't say being any more softer could ruin it, unless it's a drastic change.

Game Software - Without any actual game software to play on the Wii U, I can only imagine how it's going to play out. Now, I can honestly see reason why the stocks have taken a hit. I hope we can see some of those games we were promised, both third- and first-party, soon enough.

Wii U Controller - I'm glad that it's actually light, deceptive of its size. I just wonder how bulky it's going to feel, and if we can actually get used to it quick enough.

I'm still in support of all this new technology the Wii U showcases though, and I'm looking forward to see how games are going to put this to the best of use. Good stuff indeed.

Great thing I held out on Street Fighter; I particularly want to give this a try. I believed it would appeal to me a bit more. I'm glad to see they have the same ratings; I'm going to be getting this instead when I get a 3DS.

Didn't expect it to be out this soon when it was announced though.

EDIT: Wait wait wait, no online? No online? Flip, I'm off to buy SSFIV3D. Sorry, changed my mind; no online = no deal.
