Eh, it's free to play? I'm glad to see games inspired by BotW, even if it's a bit on the nose, but it being F2P actually kills it for me. Would rather pay $30-60 up-front and not think about money while playing.

@Chlocean Genocide and societal rot are the only conclusions to communism and socialism, and far too many people these days propose that as a "kinder, gentler" alternative to capitalism. Most of the time people try to "criticize capitalism," they do it as a way to promote their commiesoc ideas.

Yeah, looks bad but eh. I was fortunate enough to pre-order a physical copy, but it won't be arriving on launch day, it seems. I'm tempted to get a digital copy as well, since Nintendo are Disney Vault-ing the collection which is utterly horrible. The idea of losing my cartridge and not having a way of repurchasing the game makes my stomach churn, can't believe how anti-consumer that is. Gross to reward them with two purchases, but ehhh.

So garbage YIIK gets an entry here but not Tangledeep. Big oof. PSA: YIIK is one of the worst games on the Switch, it's abysmal.

@mariomaster96 FF12 is far better than FF10, in my book. Best FF title released after FF9, incredible game. One of the best narratives, too. Most FF games have "baby's first RPG" storylines, very simplistic, and FF12 is such a massive step up. Not a surprise, considering the guy behind FF Tactics, Tactics Ogre and Vagrant Story is behind it.

@robr Rage 2 is mainly from Avalanche Studios, and also a bad game. Doom Eternal is the best, man, and Panic Button is doing the Switch port. Panic Button isn't gonna go to Avalanche and say "hey, can we fix your game Rage 2? We've never used your engine before, but I'm sure we can do a better job than you!"

But yeah, Rage 2 sucks, Doom Eternal is the best arena shooter I've ever played. Only downsides are Doomguy kneeling to Novik and speaking.

I like Pokemon, but I dislike Pikachu strongly. Too bad they didn't make one without the yellow rat.

Great for otome fans and girly girls, not so much for buff dudes like me. :{

@ivory_soul I strongly prefer the Super Slim PS3 to the other Slim PS3. It looks great in person and takes up way less space. When I think of the PS3, the Super Slim model is the one I think of.

Also 4K gaming on PC is a thing, better than on XB1X. Totally getting an XSX at launch, though.

@sanderev Some of the best games I've ever played were buggy messes, your scoring system sucks. Also BOTW was maybe a 7.5/10, it was a lesser Zelda game. Not enough dungeons or bosses, and the puzzles were too easy.

@RupeeClock I have a Steam Controller, you can click in the touchpads like L3/R3. I was excited for the thing, gave it a go, could never adjust to the awful button placement. I would've preferred a D-pad in place of the left touchpad, and a smaller touchpad on the right with the buttons higher.

As it stands, I'm sticking with my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and a Corsair Lapdog for my PC gaming in the living room. Wish Valve had refined their Steam Controller with revisions, maybe made it modular or maybe customizable when ordered.

@KitsuneNight Second edit: the order of the images appears to be totally random. This time the top image was of two little girls in bed together... yeah, pedo-bait, NintendoLife promoted pedo-bait after Nintendo released it. Very disappointing.

I think this is overreach, and people need to understand that if Nintendo starts going on a witch hunt, you could always be next. Banning the hacked console is fine, but banning a console that hasn't been modified in any way is a bit unreasonable.

I once had a harassment and mass-reporting campaign against me on Steam; long story short, an ex of mine was good friends with the admins of the biggest(at the time) weeaboo group on Steam, she had them rally their members to harass me, I'd say something like "f off" and they'd mass-reporting every single instance like that they could find.

It led to a few bans that made my account inaccessible for a year or two. Kinda kicked me out of PC gaming. It would've been a permanent ban, but I talked them out of it and thankfully the heat was off me by then. When I returned, I totally-spitefully reported all the instances of the N word and the fa-word on their public comments section and got that group taken down. Booyah.

Anyways, account bans are devastating and it makes me uncomfortable to see it happen like this. Not cool. "First they came for the hackers, but I didn't care because I wasn't one..."

@retro_player_22 Well, OBVIOUSLY because it pushes players like me to piracy. You shouldn't be forced to jailbreak your system to play VC titles.

The Switch did well without the VC because people saw the potential in the system. It'll only be a passing fad like the Wii(sales were good from 2006-2009, subpar after) if they keep this idiocy up. Switch needs VC, and Nintendo doesn't benefit from apologists.

@gauthieryannick Those aren't portable consoles, and that's not forward-thinking. That's the OPPOSITE of forward-thinking. I swear, only Nintendo fans would defend the loss of a massive feature like Virtual Console. Sony fans are pissed about how Sony handled PlayStation Classics on the PS4. I bought an Xbone last year just because they supported older games, and now I regret buying my Switch at launch because they aren't bringing Virtual Console.

My Switch has collected dust for the past 3-4 months, now that they're not bringing VC to it I'm gonna gonna get a GPD system and emulate everything.

Without paying Nintendo.

They're missing out on sales. Absolutely idiotic on their part. I don't know what the hell they're thinking, except maybe they wanna sell GameCube games at full retail price? Seriously, so anti-consumer and stupid. I don't care about NES games, I only care about SNES and up. Grrrrr.

I'm okay with 30 FPS, but 720p? Bleh. If it runs spectacular in handheld mode, it's not that big a deal for me; if it's below 720p in handheld, double-bleh. I'd prefer the graphical fidelity see a minor downgrade and the resolution boost to 900p docked. Anything below 900p looks rough on my 1080p projector(120 inch image).

I was really excited for this game, but it's brain-numbingly boring. Easily one of the least fun twin-stick shooters I've ever played. The soundtrack is fine, but gawd, it's just so so so bland. I really regret buying it. Probably a 3/10.
